  • This song, don't know where my brother found it, years ago, but it's absolutely wonderful. It's the only version I've heard, and I can't imagine hearing a better one. Even still, ears are open.

macduflives - check out They Might Be Giants - The Sun Is a Mass of Incandescent Gas

Or any other of their songs.

  • I am teaching this song to my 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! Of course, I am using Garcia/Grisman's version...THANK YOU!

  • @macduflives good for you, it doesn't happen often enough that songs like this are taught to kids especially when they're that old

  • @musicbox193 or when they're young for that matter

  • @musicbox193 thanks

Jenny Jenkins is a very old song. The earliest recorded text version was published in 1823. It's thought that the song was popular during the latter part of the eighteenth century,. For more information on this song & related songs Google Cocojams Children's Rhymes And Cheers. Jenny Jenkins, Jane Jenkins & Miss Jenia Jones are all acknowledged versions of this song. Imo, the playground rhyme Aunt Jenny Died also comes from that song.

  • who wouldn't like this?!

  • So SWEEET! Thank you brother ;)

  • THANKS!!!
