Dr Ron Paul is a man of honor and truth. Consistent. Honest. Courageous. He is as close to being one of our Founding Fathers as anyone ever was or can ever be. Go Ron Paul. Intelligent, informed Americans support you. And we will come to your aid. We will assist you in becoming our next President, because we recognize how important this action has become. Our beloved Nation is in peril. You have consistently spoken the truth, and you offer a clear, common sense plan for our Nation's success.
I don't agree with Paul on this point because today the states boundaries are pretty much arbitrary. They were formed by the US as seperate entities solely to make the system of representative government run more smoothly. Although it would be nice if texas would secede, then we could build a big wall around the state and keep out the illegal Texas immigrants. Ron Paul can come accross though.
The words you speak do not reflect an accurate understanding of American history when you say that the states "were formed by the US as seperate entities solely to make the system of representative government run more smoothly." In all actuality, the original 13 states formed from 13 seperate colonies with their own governments. They banded together in a loose confederation under the Articles of Confederation. It wasn't until later they adopted the Constitution. Also, Bill of Rights am. 9/10
yeah, thats true of the original 13 states, but after that states were admitted after getting a population at least as large as the smallest state in the US with 75,000 people and they were then approved by Congress. So, the new states were created when people from established states migrated into territories. The new states were created by Americans, not foreigners who founded them and later the US admitted them. So, the new states were just a way to organize people in new territories into govt
Why don't we just give back the original 13 colonies to England? Or better yet, why don't we just give back all the US to all of the Native tribes we took the land from to begin with. Maybe they'd be so kind as to let us stay here. Thanks for not addressing any of my points. Clearly you are just here as a troll.
Secession is not constitutional. States are banned from forming a confederacy, or signing treaties with foreign nations, or other types of sovereign actions. But that's not the bigger picture. The bigger picture is that the Constitution has given too much power to the government, and secession should occur, with an even smaller, government: minarchy. Military, police, and courts, pursuing murderers, rapists, theives, vandals, tresspassers, and frauds who hurt people here.
Ron Paul is very right. I hope People will start waking up now. Our Federal Gov't has taken our right away slowly, is trying to be more socialist/authoritarian. They have accrewed debt that we cant even pay the basic interest on. Hmm doesn't sound like a govt of the people for the people by the people, Now does it! Texas should not have to pay the broken federal govt for what Bush has done, Bush should have to pay with either his life or his money, be it prison or whatever.
I think that the country should break into three to five parts so that the federal government can be kept in better check and so that regional needs can be better met.
Ron Paul is THE man. But Texas should have seceded before 2000. That would have saved our nation from having the WORST MORON we have ever had in the White House in modern history: George W. Bush!!!
Excuse the language but these toady bag licking propagandists that call defending the Constitution treason make me sick...... We should free the pot heads from jail to make room for these traitors.
The founders took great care to protect the people from the tyranny that is enveloping them today. But the Constitutional traitors are Federal Reserve (international bankers)bootliickers. They'll sell out their own mothers for a fat paycheque.
Session works on the premise that individuals or smaller groups of individuals can better decide for themselves what they want and what the role of the gov't is.
Thank you Ron Paul for this understanding. Good to know this in our time of tyranny created by the corrupt powers in our government, this gives us an action to preserve our freedom.

That's not true either. You are generalizing an awful lot. I can give you two examples that are not so clear-cut: Utah and Oklahoma.

either way, Texas belongs to mexico, we should give it back and build a wall around it.

Secession is great - but why couldn't Texas have seceded in 1999? If they secede now, they should pay the U.S. the amount of damage Bush has done.

Another clear analysis of the state of the nation and it's unhealthy deviation from the founding principles of America.
