We have lots of places like this in Texas BFK lol... Waco has a whole neighborhood which was flooded because when they built the dam they miscalculated how much water was in the Brazos river..
We have a place like this in Texas where you can see houses underwater by a valley that was flooded to make a nuclear power plant. You used to be able to dive on them, but the company that owns the power plant has closed it to the public.
@adiosk8r91 Squaw Creek in North Central Texas. The town was called Hopewell, and TXU bought out the community that was established in 1901, and abandoned in 1904 for their powerplant. I reckon it was already a ghost town when it wasn't even 5 years old lol. Oh well, I hear people used to fish off the chimney in boats, which the top of could be seen under a few feet of water. TXU used to let folks fish and swim and dive to the town, but they have had it closed off to the public for years.
Hmm, sorry, didnt notice you were from Netherlands, i read about this in a magazine, 'Dykking' (diving) and i'd love to go there if i had possibility to use tanks :D

You can locate Lyngstølsvatnet by using Google Earth. Lyngstølvatnet- Ørsta Norway.
You can drive there from Ålesund.
