i used to live in simi valley....it must have been so weird when he died, because in many ways he'd already been gone for so long. The only comparison I can think of is when they re-bury the remains of a soldier who had died many years earlier on some foreign battlefield, and having just identified the remains, they give them a proper burial with full honors. It was like that with Reagan: he left America really in 1994, and it was only in 2004 that America farewelled him.
