  • Tried this tonight. Loved it. I used the green can. Opened it; drained off the excess fluid; emptied the can into a bowl and smooshed it all up. I then added some mayo, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and some spicy mustard. Made a sandwich and it was heavenly. I'm sold on it. I eat a wicked lot of fresh wild salmon fillets that I bake or grill to perfection. Now I can enjoy salmon in a different form. Thank God I watched your video and saw where you mentioned about the bone. I would

  • good idea, for making salmon sandwhich like a tuna sandwhich, but can salmon here is almost $5.00 a can, expensive!!

  • I love salmon even as a sushi style, Yup, i go now and then to genki sushi down our next town and i always buy me some fresh raw sashimi salmon on top the sushi rice, SOOOOOO YUMMMYYY!! I love that salmon that is really oily in flavor!!!

  • Worlds most easy and happy happy way to cook a fresh salmon steak/ filet,preheat oven to 375F. Oil the bottom of a baking dish, lay skin side down. Cover top side with a generous layer of real mayonaise. Place thin sliced or small cubed, raw sweet onion on top of mayo in a thin layer, need to leave spaces of Mayo showing. Sprinkle top of all with brown sugar, thin layer, Bake 12 min. give or take, until fish flakes easily, switch oven to broil, broil the topings until golden and bubbley, enjoy!

  • Why do you refer to tuna as "tuna fish" but just call salmon, salmon? Shouldn't it be "salmon fish"? Or else you could just call it tuna, but then people might think you're referring to "tuna mammal". Don't want to confuse anyone by just saying tuna!

  • We use to steam salmon, and have it with mashed potatoes. I tried putting heating some canned salmon, and put some lemon and salt on it,and it tasted fine. I think I'm going to try tonight. It would be much cheaper than buying it fresh.

  • I use Salmon like tuna in a salad or sandwich spread. Add some diced onion or scallions, a little pickle relish and mayo, serve over some lettuce and tomatoe or on bread!

  • boil a few potatoes and set aside on the stove.2. in a skillet put half a stick of butter with some diced onions cook until marblized in butter.3. turn your heat on low add a can of salmon and mix in potato after you have mushed them with a hand potato masher. cook in a pie crust! Yummy! The sauce: some boiled eggs sliced and cooked with some half and half , flour to thicken and pour over the pie! Also good eaten cold with mayo. yum!

  • LOL no, it's a raw salt herring with chopped unions.

    It's sold in little stands, all over The Netherlands, and in Fish-shops.

  • I have the best recipe my mom used to make when I was younger. It's got canned salmon, corn, eggs, breadcrumbs, cheese, a few other things that I can't remember. I'll have to search and find it, it's soooo good!
