U2> Disturbed... However, they have done an EXCELLENT cover. Covers aren't about who is better... It's an expression of how else a song can be played. Stop hating on a great band, which Disturbed obviously felt was worthy of a cover. They're the only band that I've found to date, that successfully pulled off a U2 cover. They are two different sub-genres. Other than this one song, you can't really compare them.

Disturbed does an AWESOME job with ALL of their covers. Like in Land of Confusion and Shout 2000..they were originally "pop" sounding songs. But Disturbed was able to bring out the meaning, the power, and the integrity behind the lyrics and incorperate it into the song and make it their own. They make the song seem like that was the way it was meant to be played. After hearing their covers, I never listen to the original song the same way again.

That's why I absolutely love this band.

It has the soul that disturbed's version lacks, and Bono in his prime singing at the top of his register in 1987. However I wouldn't expect a Disturbed fan to see beauty in any music which doesn't have heavy distortion or shitty excuses for guitar solos.
