The sci-fi theme must have come from Roger Taylor, since he was into this stuff. Interesting video, and actually the first official single from Taylor (excepting the B-side "I'm In Love With My Car"). What's interesting is that after this album, Taylor had at least one single per album... in order: "Radio Ga-Ga," "Kind of Magic," "Breakthru," "Invisible Man" and "These Are the Days of Our Lives."

This is such a GREAT quirky pop song - it's a real shame that it was not supported by the record company and fully released as a single and video. The classic THX1138 film was early 70s, so the video director was inspired by George Lucas; not vice versa. :)
