  • Haha I see ur point pal, europe can F#&* off.....I still think were better off on our own though - no need for that america talk

  • why would we want to be the 51st state, America Is Still A British Colony!!!!!!!

    look it up!!!!!!

  • Amusing video - thanks.

Actually there is a complication in your proposed scenario, which is that the USA were never actually granted independence from the UK - even though they declared it - and is now a crown colony that exists for the benefit of the British monarchy. The USA is actually a corporation with the president as the president, congress and senate as directors, and citizens as the workers for the corporation.

The UK wouldn't want a share of US debt anyway - it has enough already.

  • I like this guy

  • Most of america are from europe! :/ . uk is unique on its own. even if it is full of cocks

  • im not english im a proud american but im sad your country getting overun by terrorist and nasty third worlders my heart goes out to you england good luck stand up for your country

  • Hmmm, maybe just we stay Allies.

  • If Britain was to become a part of America then undoubtedly the special agency (MI6) would take over, the parliament would call the shots and the special forces of the country would be the SAS. So no doubt the American people would feel betrayed, the United States would be split in two and another beautiful civil war would take place leaving the communist countries to take over, or for a shorter version....... just don't do it!

  • How about: the United States is an aspect of Britain, and controlled by British bloodlines.... ever consider that? So if anything, America would become a part of Britain. I'm not sure these uptight old bloodlines would ever give up "Britain!" more like the other way around. But honestly, its already connected. All the disconnection you perceive is intentional. Think about it~

  • and hamburgers derive from germany. this video fails on so many level.

  • sorry .. my mistake their polish :p still european though

  • But ... Bagels are FRENCH.

  • freakishly idiotic...

  • @MrAinslieJJ ZOMG! I think the US never got the memo. You're welcome to tell them that so maybe things can be settled (aka snipe your Queen in the middle of the forehead).

  • my good sir, you forget the USA is crown-land of the Monarchy of england, and therefore still in British control, no-matter how much the US plays it down.

  • You know that states are not allowed to run a deficit. The UK would be required to roll back it's welfare state to be let in.

  • lol oh the irony

  • WTF!

  • my dear Peoples Philosopher....that morning, I had a dentists appointment, a job interview, and i looked in the mirror and saw my beard was going grey....in short, I was sorry for myself:)

But you cheered me up....because you remind me of a pal of mine from Glasgow, who I used to meet in a pub and pontificate with

We would spend hours putting the world to rights:)

Anyway he died, as people do....but in you his spirit lives on:)

I will stop smoking and drinking one of these days

  • Sounds good until you realise that Obama would be the President of Great Britain. Winston Churchill would be turning in his grave. Why fight off one fascist dictator just to invite another one to take over 66 years later? Elect Rand Paul or maybe Marco Rubio then we can talk about it.

  • This morning, I woke up feeling downcast and shitty....I wandered around thinking life has me beat, and needed something to cheer me up....then I came upon this, and now I love life again!

thank you for making my day:)

  • @jagdpanther1944

That's the nicest comment anyone has made. Most people miss the piont. Your respones tells me you fully understand the philosophy of life - well at least one morning of it

  • @PeoplesPhilosopher if we did we would end up mixing our trillion pound with their several trillion dollars i personally like america and american but i think its in our best interested to be independent

  • plus you get guns too hahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Leaving EU = win.

    Joining U.S.=Failure.

  • Why! Definitely NOT my good man. Are you one of them?

  • Isn't UK a part of E.U.?

  • ahhahah... fucking hilarious!

  • @SrNutritivo You are the only sane person who has commented. Everyone else takes this too seriously. Glad you enjoyed it. I now think Europeans are not so bad. What does dog taste like?

  • get out of europe? sure!

become part of the USA? fuck off i dont wanna get fat!

  • @webb20k when in the islands people ran nude in the woods trying to hunt some critters with a stick, in europe some great civilizations shine... stupid pirate barbarians, you and your fucking bastard child of U.S.

  • i like your hat

  • Yeah - In America they share the same imperial system of measurements like we do in UK - not the metric system used on the European continent.

  • UK has ties with EU trade & things, despite not adopting the Euro - and UK does a lot of trade with USA too - and still went to war with USA - our first allies - despite the massive EU opposition to it - the UK still went ahead & Gordon Brown made all the EU leaders wait on him at the Lisbon treaty signing & snubbed them too when he opted out of champagne & photo opportunities - nobody messes with Britian & America - founders of the UN, NATO & 1st Allies!

  • we could just be allies... o wait we are

    i love nato

  • Ha its funny most of Northern Ireland dont want to be under british rule .And now british dont want to be ether ha..england i would be glad t see the back of..No one likes the english in europe not even Scotland or Wales..

  • @DJSPLIF100 "DJSPLIF" Yh w're going to listen to your side and absorb what you're saying when your name suggests you're a fucking junkie lol. Typical Scott! LMAO...

  • I think England should be a part of the US. They pretty much do anything the US tells them to anyway. And Scotland should be free, proud and independent.

  • @steinijg we do not do what usa tells use to do. the queen likes usa so she sometimes help usa in wars only. just not the vietnam war

  • I think England Scotland Ireland and Wales should be independent country's that work together with both Europe and America, I am a proud Scot and Scottish history is indeed something to be proud of.

Although Europe and America are much bigger than a small country such as Scotland, I think with our record in academics we can hold our own on the world stage.

Tidal power will be the new model for the future and Scotland owns tidal technology, and whoever has the power, well has the power really

  • Mad

  • I agree we should leave the EU, but why should we be the 51st State? why cant we just be independent? Why would we want to join a weaker monetary system? We should be proud of being British! not underdogs to the rest of the world!

  • One question, what about the Queen? Even thou she is the biggest land owner in Wyoming, I can quite see The Queen as being just Liz of Jackson Hole. Its a nice what if thought.

  • Sadly, we were so great once, that now we don't consider ourselves European... And the people won't willingly accept America as their ruler because of the past.

Like a great man once sang:

    "Imagine there's no countries..." - J. Lennon

  • if we did become a part of america, i would gladly join the proud patriots rebelling against the yank rule. And i'm only 13!

  • The Child adopting the Parent?

What of our Older Brother, Canada?

  • @TheRebel2007 Erm, Britain existed before America. With your logic, you're saying a child is born before their parents? Ponder that for a minute.

  • @cssadiction Weird, ain't it?

  • @DukoOsshiiKhan thank the heavens you came across. I felt for a moment as part of a very petit "sane" fraction.

And on the topic of your comment you are undoubtable right. If we set "britain" as the name to judge by history; it is not a germanic name in its roots.

  • @DukoOsshiiKhan the "philosopher" is emptying his brain about a group he calls "we" and the others "these" or "foreign". Referring to the Language "english" as common good of identification. Hence he thinks everybody who does not speak this language must be foreign and eating dogs, horses and snails [sic]. But apart from that, I actually thought britain was latin, thanks for the hint.

  • yup. Get rid of the german name and join america.

Away from europe. saaaail sail with the wind!

  • Why do we need to become part of ANY little group ?

We are good allies with America and other countries in ''Europe'', Leave it at that.

  • Is this man crazy?

  • We are Europeans - do you seriously think that a direct comparison can be made between Germans, French, Spanish and Swedes? of course not - they are all different, but all Europeans. Seriously considering a union with America because of the system of measurement? Good grief. You'll also find that most of our trade is with Europe, not America. So your argument about free trade is nonsense. BTW; which Europeans eat dogs?

  • Switzerland for one . See Wikipedia :-

"Popular Swiss recipes for dog meat include gedörrtes Hundefleisch served as paper-thin slices as well as smoked dogarvnb| ham, and Hundeschinken which is prepared by salting and drying raw dog meat"

    Interesting recipe isn't it?

  • 1. erm...USA drives on the wrong side of the road - same as Europe...so I don't see any benefit there.

    2. it's bloody miles away! how silly...

    3. our social policies are much much closer to Europe than they are to America (thank God!)

    4. We are European - physically and mentally

    5. Yes let's become American because - erm - they use pounds feet and inches and miles - but they don't use stone and their gallons are different to ours - that's a pretty silly reason :). We get to use both!

  • i choose death but before so i would probably nuke britain so my countrymen can die quick

  • good god no! U sir need to be shot.

  • We'd rather have Puerto Rico than you limey bastards! :P

  • @unnamednewbie13 Yeah well its a good job that its only the mentally deranged, the uneducated or the unwanted that want Great Britain to be part of the states. Im sure that there are those in your country rubbing their hands together thinking to themselves "well gee, that means we'll have a proper history to teach now". Most Brits want nothing to do with home of the backward, sorry brave, let alone incorporate our great nation into it.NEVER! Rule Britainnia......

  • @Saxonsoldiers Actually I was more thinking of how legally awkward it would be for a country to diplo-annex the UK.

  • the 51st state is called CANADA..Oui..hA

  • Still if this happend we would be still be english and defending our home country at the white cliffs. Shame we have nothing to defend or keep what was once Great Britain, just pride remains and the dilution of Heritage is eaten away as we speak

  • I love Britain. My second favorite country. Long live the United States of America, long live the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

  • You are better off where you are my friend. The only place you may relate to in America is New England which consists of Connecticut, Mass, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine. And we have many problems here in the good ole USA.

  • Its good to see that there is at least 1 Briton that sees the European tyranny.

  • No Free healthcare? No Free Medication? Guns on the Streets? American Duristiction? Bringing that sorta life to the UK WOULD NOT go down well. land of the free? I heard that last week an old lady's house burnt down because she didn't pay the Fire Department? that's not what Britain is about.

    ..Land of Hope and Glory...

  • @LolFishFail - indeed

  • I would much rather keep my British heritage. The Economy is shit, aye just like the rest of the World.. The Leaders are shite, just like the rest of the world. But I like to call myself British, I like to think that without Britain America wouldn't have been born, which it wouldn't.. that is kinda like an Old man going off to die at his Granson's house... It just ain't going to happen. And also, wouldn't UK add 5 states to America? 51st Wales, 52nd England, 53rd Scotland, 54th Northern Ireland?

  • DAMN right :D

  • "England and America are two countries separated by a common language." George Bernard Shaw

  • Mother America, LOLz, WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS DITCH THE EU, AND THEN START CONQUERING AGAIN,NO THEY DONT SPEAK ENGLISH, ITS NOT PROPER!!!

  • Well the US is a crowned colony still anyway plus most the the US was colonized by Europeans and there was a vote to see wether of not the language was going to be german or english. English won by one vote! So there!

  • Britain 51st state

  • People on both sides have very different values. This is just not going to work.

  • Hoiw about Unite the Commonwealth into a Political Union

  • practically uk is already the 51st state, a yes man for US

  • What a twat, if this guy was English and NOT Scottish he's be a bit more independant/patriotic, he wouldn't be in favour of joining those fat dozy cunts. Scotland is a shit hole, the leach of the UK. If you like yanks so much you should fuck off and join 'em!

  • seems to me like britain and europe are already the 51st state whether they want it or not. look at the military presence over there. did you know that german journalists who write for major newspapers have to sign an agreement that they cant say anything bad about america or israel? god bless freedom.

  • @MANDYPERY Then they break that agreement quite often since Germany cut the shit out of America when it came to the Iraq war.

  • should declare a united commonwealth & E.F.T.A,bigger than all the rest put togethger, our saxon cousins from Germany would join us.What an outfit.

  • America is a jolly nice place but i don`t think it should take over our poor humble islands,i think it would cause Europe to treat us as enemies and we would be cut off from them.

  • F that!

  • PeoplesPhilosopher you sound Scottish, not that there's anything wrong with that (which there isn't), it's just that you don't sound like a cockney basterd, and you're representing England to join the U.S. I know Scots live there too, but don't they hate English monarchy, just like the Irish do?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrTrey93 nope just ignorant un-educated scots who have watched braveheart 1 too many times! (basically the poorer scots) hey hate England and the queen but when asked they dont know why and will probably say "coz there English c***s"

i'm from scotland and i'm proud to be British and i love the royal family!

  • @ritchiealostprophet

Haha. this guy definitely seems like it. The democrats would probably claim that we would be imperialist to do make the U.K. our 51st state. Even if it did somehow become a part of the U.S (Obama won't do it, i promise), it would probably just end up like Puerto Rico, a territory. As for you being a cockney bastard, good for you bro. meanwhile, i think i'll just sit on my american ass and watch king of the hill all day while eating a double bacon cheeseburger.

  • Poor Great Britain: from colonizing country, to country colonized

  • We don't want to be ruled by a former colony, we should join Europe and become a European superstate, we will be economically better and even be able to challenge American supremacy

  • BECOME ONE WITH MOTHER AMERICA!!!

  • We here over the water regard America more of a daughter than a mother; given the historical sequence.

  • @PeoplesPhilosopher

Yes, globally, America is like an infant that gets his hands on dangerous toys and likes to scare the other kids, being the other new countries.

The true Mothers of the Modern world are Britain, France, Germany, Russia, and Spain. Again giving the historical sequence. America is still a young Bully.

  • @GothicCronly Yet if it wasn't for that little kid I wonder how long before the USSR would've won? No offense but the British Empire was fucked after WW2 the same goes for continental Europe as well. Like it or not we were needed for the cold war.

  • @PeoplesPhilosopher As you rightly should, Britain (ok, England) is 1000 years old, America is only 234. Statehood would just mean you would be moving into the daughters house.

  • @PeoplesPhilosopher roflmao... kinda like the created over the creator?

Sure.. America came as radicals from Great Brittan, but for their own sovereignty. Not to be subjected to the crown. HOWEVER we (who are enlightened) all know what happened with that. lol

  • @PeoplesPhilosopher I would be inclined to agree my limey friend.

  • @PeoplesPhilosopher then you have to completely change the direction of your claim. 51th state? Should not america become part of you then? And not YOU part of IT! Hach... so many painstaking details.

  • @PeoplesPhilosopher Hahaha americangamer got pwned but what about the u.s. rejoining the united kingdom?

  • @123americangamer yeah yeah i know im just useing the old russian saying BECOME ONE WITH MOTHER RUSSIA lol

  • Comment removed

  • LOL..... insanity.....

  • If we could keep are royal family, A good say over what laws are enforced and are armed forces, i wouldn't really have a problem with it :P

All the Americans I have ever met face to face are mature, understanding and intelligent... I cant really say i would have a problem with it, at least were out of the EU if we did!

  • Ha ha ha. I lived in England when I was a kid. I loved the weather. I hate hot weather!!

We could call it the ''united divided republic'' which stands 4 nothing, serves no one except the blood sucking politicians. Wouldn't mind if I ate fish & chips a little more often. lol cheers from spainistan

  • We practically ARE the 51st state of America lol. I definitely prefer an alliance with them rather than Europe.

  • Better hurry my friend, if things keep going like they are you'll have to update the video to say Britain should be the 52nd state, Puerto Rico is about to beat you to the 51st (110 years late on their part).

  • i have a better idea THE UNITED KINGDOM OF NORTH AMERICA LOLOLOLOL

  • ive not seen much on these comments but from watching other vids it seems to me there is alot of hate between america and britian but WHY DONT WE JUST GET ALONG some americans say we eat crumpets and tea some brits say americas are fat dumbasses.this is exactly whats wrong with free speech we shouldnt have full free speech but just to a degree so that noone can be seriously offended

  • @nessiemh i agree 100% mate.

  • your arguement is completly flawed, you are no patriot

  • come on over to my house any time my friend

  • No the English arn't like the Europeans, you've made that quite clear.

  • we already are

  • This from a Scot who relied on France (their ancient allies) to fight against the Plantaganet English (who were French also).

There's an irony in there somewhere.

  • lol the Brits as the fifty first or fifty first through fifty third or four (all due respect to Wales, Scotland, & Ulster), they would surpass California, Massachusetts and NY as the most liberal states in the Union.

  • Forget 51st state of America - that land over there will just become a Principality of Britain.

  • There's pluses & minuses to that. Pluses for America would be better education possibly spread across the country, something America desperately needs; more liberal politics (which I favor) & that lovely health care system (compared to America) likewise spread to America.

Minus or two: Britain would be joined to America's massive debt, Glenn Beck would decry you the "mega socialist cancer eating America", if you can handle that drivel.

And besides the monarch, what about the Commonwealth?...

  • ... Canada, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Australia, New Zealand, etc. are part of it. I need to study how exactly it operates, and how these countries would be effected by its possible dissolvement.

lol, I wonder if Canada would be tremendously green in the face of Mother Britain joining the US. "I spent all this time being loyal to her, and she goes to the Yanks!" I wonder they'll join, too, thinking "Where else do I have to go?"

  • that could in theory work but it would require britan maintaining the crown and the commons and lords, so it would probably take an amendment to the us constitution for britan with its current form of government to join the union and many americans think of the british as commies so they might not let that happen unless brittan became more conserative perhaps be elcting torries and having not even half as many gun laws, or really even laws in general to convince most american myself included

  • and also because the mother gets old and must then come to live with the daughter ....

    america is britians daughter

  • Hey! You are very deep. Keep it up, it will eventually get you somewhere.

You'd be better to roast it -apparently.

  • Well, that's impossible since America is only just a playground for the British elites and the British Crown.

And besides, the US never even won the war of American Revolution on paper.

  • @FerrariandBMW yeah we did.

  • just come live here... its easy enough right?

when most americans are trying to escape this cesspit, and the coming nuclear destruction soon to be wrought upon us...

    comeon over~! :D

ill bake you a cat ... lol

  • sorry america ALREADY HAS a full compliment of nutters ....

    we dont need more ^^

lol ... just pulling your leg there

  • Erm, I don't even know where to begin. No to one world government, no to the EU, no to the NAU, Atleast in the US you can still have a gun, unlike Mideval peasant Europe where you can only have pitchforks, knives, and torches. I mean modern Europe today. My bad.

  • My bad what?

I've been to the USA a couple of times. Texas is like Spain and Greece. New York is more like Manchester than the old York. We'd fit in.

I invite you over if you have a passport; bring your gun if you like, but you wont need it.

  • Texas is like Spain, how so?

  • The weather, the scenery.

The people with wide brimmed hats, lots of gringos (am I allowed to say that?).

The architecture (at least of the old buildings in Texas) and the streets with lots of overhead cables - yeuck - not so in Scotland here.

    Food is somewhat similar too.

You'd like it; at least for a gun free break - but bring it if you like.

  • Minus the lack of English sounds like a nice place, I'll add it to my list of European countries to see. As for a gun free brake... I could go either way, I like a good rifle.

Over head wires, I agree, what happened to the days of steam and cable cars?

  • @PeoplesPhilosopher Have you ever lived in Texas for a long time? It's more like Mexico. And trust me, Mexico is not the same as Spain. People in Spain have a lot more class. It's really sad that Mexico has already had an influence on Texas. Oh well.

  • @ttiiyy Give it a decade, I bet we'll have a wall and most of the Mexicans we'll be back south of it saying the wall is evil.

  • The Vaginia company, or USA if thats what you want to call it is a British corporation. The Empire is alive and well. Soul by soul and SILENTLY our shinning bounds increase.

  • also in real life, the next 51st state is bound to be Puerto Rico. 60%| of population want to be a state.

  • yeah great idea as an american I would love it ! then we could finally say the beatles, the rolling stones and the who are american bands! lol

  • I think that britain should not become part of america, america should become part of britain, since its just a formal colony.

  • Interesting Idea Economically

    Culturally maybe

  • I'd welcome all of Britain to this country if I was the one who made the decision. I'd never force the United Kingdom to become a part of the union, I'd only want to have Britain make their decision. IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE TWO GREAT COUNTRIES BECOME ONE!!!

  • @bigfootrsbuddy123 I'd want British elements on the Flag though, a possible Union jack surrounded by stripes and stars.

  • yes lets leave europe

  • Ha ha, I admit that is very funny!!! =D

  • god. you watch to much media. not al lAmericans are fat lol every country has fat ppl.

I me how would u like it if i said damn all the Brits have fucked up teeth. very sterotype

  • Yes i think we should be the 51st state, because you are rite i have started to learn danish so i can talk to my friend in danmark so my friend dose not have to speak english to me, yes american i would like to be :)

  • Well, if most of Britain is willing to see it yours and Chucks way, and the rest of America is willing to see it how I see it, you might be calling yourself an American in a decade or two, maybe sooner if the EU tries to force the Euro.

  • That sounds good to me man :)

  • this would be a good idea ha that would mess up the eu

  • Britain hates the EU, they'd drop out of it in a heart beat if they got the chance. So the only problem we'd have with them would be trade issues.

  • very true my friend

  • There are quite a few kinks in it, but you have a good idea. I don't know if it will ever happen though. The closest I can see America ever getting to a European holding is Iceland, and even though the UK is just a few hundred miles away, odds are stacked agenst it. Still, you never know, if the UK asked to join, would we say no? I doubt it.

  • However nice this idea is, the question is that if the UK becomes the 51st state then what kind representation could the UK send to congress, particularly the number of representatives.

  • The UK would have 73 of the 435 House of Representative seats.. based on their population of ~61mil and US' ~303mil.. so 61 / 364 = 16.76%... that % x 435 = 72.9. Still just 2 / 102 Senate seats though. That's a big majority in the House if it were to happen soon, but it would drop over time. Using a usatoday US projection of 438mil people.. and UK projections of between 70 - 80mil by 2050, that would drop UK's representatives to 60 - 67 respectively... still the majority though.

  • lol. i think its a fanciful idea. dont know if congress and all the political folks would agree. but theres really not much difference between the uk and usa. canada either. i think its a cool concept but would probably take decades before its seriously considered.

  • Magic

  • wurzal gumage shouldn't do politics. have a look at a real globe sir and you should see that america has a route to china that doesnt require traveling over the whole of europe n Asia to get to it n that you can practically see russia from alaska which is part of america, they are so close to russia in-fact that you can drive between them when the water ices over .the USA uses the Uk and most of europe as airbase anyway, lots of bombers on the way to middle east stopped or took off from britain

  • Thanks for that JB, I appreciate your in depth review and I see that you are correct; I grew up not far from an American naval base. Can I record that as you objected to 25% of the blog, you don't disagree with the other 75% and that we have a load of common ground.

  • i agree that the usa and uk have common ground in some respects, as you mentioned, our weight system and miles and what not, however if britain was to become the 51st state i dont believe that we would be treated as equals and would possabliy end up being a american consumer colony witch would be an ironic twist no? I take from the accent that you are a fellow scot? european history is indeed very crowded with battles and rifts between countrys however...please see next commet...

  • theres much to be said for european culture, they have achived many great things throughout the centuries. and on thepower balance, i already feel that america is the only real super power on the planet today. closely followed by russia, but if the american military budget is anything to go by then there is already an unbalenced state of power, of course there is china but the chinese economy as seen in recent times is dependent on american consumers to buy their product. maby agree 10% sorry :)

  • LOL - where is the parrot?

  • good point
