This commercial was popular when I was in middle school. Boys in my class used this Pepsi summer gesture as a way to try to grab the girls in class. Extremely annoying. THANKS PEPSI. :P

Update: Jocelyn Peden was the co-director and Choreographer for the 2010 Paralympic Games in Vancouver

Jocelyn Peden is the Red head in the first scene on the beach and peppered through out it. She is a Choreographer in Vancouver BC now.

Wow, suddenly I'm in high school again! This commercial wasn't on TV for much more than a month. For too many people, it just seemed like a bunch of Hollywood ad hacks were sitting around a table, attempting (and failing) to decide what Johnny and Janie Lunchpail would find cool and hip. And of course help them decide which teeth-rotting sugar water to buy that summer.

This commercial was the best! I remember when it came out I was very young. It was the best summer of my childhood and the "chill out hand" was the inside joke of my entire family. Thanks for posting this.

I know that was Dr. Ruth, Gilbert Goddfried, and I believe Bo Jackson in the beach chair.
