..... why haven't you guys changed Patricks pants yet? haven't you heard the complaints? it wouldn't be that big of a deal if you move that front flower.
@landis346 You can control the smoothness of the lines in Illustrator. In one of the first few videos ion this series, I share all my settings so you can get the same effects!
@sallyprue I'm using a tablet...it's not possible to use this particular technique without a pressure-sensitive tablet. You CAN achieve the same effect, but it involves manipulating the width of the strokes one by one.
@MrsArtsy I'm using Illustrator CS4 in these videos, but I've used the same techniques with Illustrator 10 . There's more info on the brushes (including downloadable template) on my blog -- you can find the web address at the start of video #1 in this series
wow thanks for this tutorial!!! Would you happen to know how to apply pressure sensitivity and make it affect the opacity? for example pressing lightly: opacity 50%, pressing hard opacity 100% ???
what are your brush settings??

@connect121 Yes, you do all of those things...you just need to change the brush settings or use the pen tool. Have fun!

@Qwaybabii Check out video #3 on brush settings...it shows how I get the thick and thin line. You need a drawing tablet, too.
