cereal is "bad" for you. it's highly refined, and processed combination of compressed wheat or corn with sugar and additives integrated into it, then puffed up with air or crisp-like forms to give it an addictive crunch.nothing about it is "natural", with most flavors simulated and fat extracted, vitamins+dried fruit added.
Pretty much, I drank Homogenized (which is like 4.8%? We didn't have whole milk here) until I was 12, then 2% until I was 18-ish (maybe 17)... just because I know I'd add on the pounds - we easily go through 4 litres (just over a gallon) of milk every 1.45 days, sometimes in less than 24 hours at my house. Most of that milk consumption is my fault! XD
How are you going to use Trix and Cocoa puffs as examples...not only do they contain LOADS of sugar, they are full of artificial coloring and flavoring. Whole grain cereal w/no more than 6g sugar is healthy...cheerios, kashi, grape nuts...add a little fruit if you like the sweetness.
Yes good point about the choices of cereal, but I guess I wasn't clear enough -- I DID mention to watch out for sugar intake, and those cereals (trix, cocoa) happen to perfectly exemplify this.
Thanks for pointing this out for everyone, it is indeed a problem with some cereals nowadays -- too much sugar!
what about 2 steaks, cut of lamb, 3 fried eggs, beans, hash brown, irish pudding, slice of bacon 2 toast, cup of coffee with 3 sugars, concentrate orange juice?
don´t use milk with NO fat in it. i know a lot of people think fat is bad, but you need it! in this particular case your body needs a little bit of fat to take up all the vitamines! i think fatfree milk is bullshit anyway and it don´t taste good...
Yeah, it's true that natural animal fat is important in your diet. Not loads and heaps of it, but some is good for you. I happen to drink tons of milk though, so since I'm 22 I've cut down to 1% from 2%. I could never go for Skim, though - that tastes like water.
Know what is a good breakfast? Crepes- if you can sit down for them. Or those Caribou Coffee bars the Carmel High Rise or some Starbucks mmm blueberry muffin and iced vanilla latte
So try something else. Breakfast is the easiest meal to hit all food groups. Eat a whole wheat toast (grains), a banana (fruit), and a cup of milk (diary). I cannot function at all without breakfast in the morning. I think I've only skipped it once this past year, and that was b/c I woke up late.
yes it is! gotta get the good stuff in the morning otherwise, it would be hard to focus, especially for college students with those morning classes and boring lectures.
Yeah man definitely! By the way today I got a letter through the mail telling me I got accepted into Pre-nursing school! (My school has activities outside of school)Yay me! Now I get to help out people in the hospital!
I'll keep an eye out for your next video! see ya' guys!
