Odd comparison really, Lloyd Blankfein actually funds the democratic party, i'd go as far as to say that Goldman funded the Obama campaign individually more than any other company.
Seems odd i know, seems almost counter-intuitive, could be to do with Blankfein's humble/modest roots.
I've always firmly believed that we need a balance of capitalism and socialism, giving to much to the public never works because they expect more and more and do less. Capitalism, on it's own never works either because people become more and more greedy, wanting more money and power, that's why the banks collapsed.
Obama does need to realize that you need a balance of the two, he wanted to higher the taxes, and more loans which would only increase the debt the US are in.
I do not believe you are a socialist Robert... you got the word wrong.

''While we bail him out....'' Well quite. If you bail him out then he & his company are just going to stay around despite the markets verdict. At its core the problem is unrestrianed government power. If a government does not have a power to give away as a privilege then no amount of lobbying will accrue that power to private interests. Strike the root. Smash state power.
You'd really go as far as to say that lobbying is completely legitimate and there's nothing wrong with it?
really?
I was under the impression that everyone thought the whole lobbying industry needed to be reined in and possibly entirely destroyed. There's no reason anyone should be able to buy their ideas into government - it's a frightening subversion of democracy.
Rich people's democratic votes don't count for more than one, and nor should they. So why do we allow pay-per-view lobbying?
Very astutely disassembled what goes on in The US of A and to an alarming extent what Europe is starting to experience.
I can only hope Europe keeps its cool head, and has balls enough to keep lobbyists at an arm's length.

The gravitation of wealth towards the big banks is what scares me.. I did also recently suspect that I might be more of a socialist. Bankers should be well paid, sure, but for every person in my country to have to pay thousands of pounds each, just for the fat cats to keep hold of their 3rd yaught... yeah i'm a socialist.
I believe Capitalism is sadly as anti democratic as any system can get. How can we define people as having equal rights when money equals power? Now Obhama is not a very good socialist....

What I don't understand is this: Bush is considered by most of the world to be a class A twat and yet he was fiercely deffended by the American public. Obama hasn't been in office long enough to do much at all and now the American public who voted for him are beating the seven bails out of him!
Its not like he went to war illegally or anything.............
Please excuse the general use of the term American public.
Robert, your description of the Tea Party seems disingenuous. I thought the Tea Party was brought about by libertarians, old-school Republicans, and Ron Paul's presidential campaign. Then, I thought, it was co-opted by the Palin fan club and various other partisan hacks with loud voices, so that the underlying causes of today's economic problems in the US were drowned out by squabbling about less important policy decisions. Care to comment?
anybody who'd like to know some more about the tea party and their backers should check out exiledonline as well as various articles elsewhere by mark ames & yasha levine.
@C0ct0pusPrime not true a lot of europians are a lot more supportive of obama than we are of bush (what an a** bush was, we laughed at you because of that war (atleast thats what i think) but we only blame bush because its solely his and blairs fault. I will admit that some europians HATE americans but thats just some personal opinion they have towards the US military and are blindly directing it at all americans.
and bobbyllew ... your welcome, as usual ... good talk ^_^
@paulsky1 Anyone can hate Americans all they want. Fact is, we are the ULTIMATE superpower in the world.
Whether that changes in time is yet to be seen. But for now, we DO run this world. The rest of the world is so dependent upon us for SO much, that you CANNOT survive without us at this point.
The only thing Bush did wrong, was giving Liberals and Democrats EVERYTHING they wanted. They got their cake, and ate it too... and it apparently was dry and bitter.
@ottoarchitect Lol... you can go on believing about this imaginary "debt" the USA has to China.... but sorry to tell you, that isn't the way it is. Monetary debt is irrelevant to the USA and to China.
The USA facilitates pretty well ALL of Chinas economy. Their dependence upon the USA is as absolute as the USA is to them.
Don't let the media fool you into thinking otherwise.
@circutracer150 people dont hate america they hate people like you and with an attitude like that, its no wonder they do, america isnt an ulimate suepr power, its just a big kid who is dilluded to think its the ultimate power just because it has the biggest toys.
You think your country is powerful, yes it is, but not as pwerful as you think. There are far more powerful countries out there, america is just the one with the biggest military, our countries rely more on china more than america
@circutracer150 omg your getting agetated, im remaining calm, people like you need to calm doen... seriously!!!, you think your so above everyone else, and i see americans, and there military, killing there own allies all the time making other countries angry with there meaningless wars, you think my country depends on yours, it doesnt, we have our own sustaining infrastructure and dont you foret that without the UK america wouldnt even exist as we know it today. SERIOUSLY, you are so blind!!
@circutracer150 im perfectly calm, and i agree that the US helped somewhat during WW2 but without the UK colonising your little corner of the world you wouldn't even be here. You seem to have an ego bigger than mount everest, and ive noticed your a patriot, but your country doesnt play as big a par as you think.
@paulsky1 The U.K did NOT colonize this country. Oh sure, there were a few expeditions sent in search of riches, but that is not a colonizing project.
It was a few dissidents, unhappy with being ruled over by a tyrant, who colonized this land.
Also, regardless of what you may have been taught (and I know for a FACT you are not told the truth in other countries), without the USA, WW2 would not have ended. Historical fact.
@UrbanDenim Yeah.. because it had nothing to do with the fact that the USA joining the war, had crumbled his "Thousand Year Reich" right before his eyes.
Nothing to do with him seeing an inevitable LOSS against the Allies...
And certainly nothing to do with the fact that he was insane.
The war would have gone on, with or without 'ol Adolf. There is alway someone waiting to take the reins of power from the boss.
@UrbanDenim I don't know about that last statement, but let us do consider that the Battle of Britain happened before the U.S. entered the war. The UK defended themselves from the Nazis just fine on their own. That was a turning point, as was the increased participation of the Soviets on the Eastern Front. Once Germany was spread across two fronts, it was only a matter of time before it was defeated. The U.S. involvement only sped things along.
@circutracer150 it WOULDNT of ended... my my ... your very mistaken, I will admit that it wouldn't of ended as history currently tells it, america and the whole world would be totally under nazi regime right now and there would be an underground fighting for freedom. But your theory that a countries military strength being its actual strength is very very mistaken, Military isnt everything, maybe you should stop being so patriotic and look past your ego once in a while to see the truth before u
@circutracer150 its true that your country has obsessed itself with gaining military power but strength isnt everything. I assure you also that history is written by the winners, therefor no version of history is true nor accurate. Knowledge is power and from where im standing the US is very much a child country acting out wioth anger because he wants to be noticed and because it feels like osme countries are ignoring it your ego is just as big as USA's ego ... PERIOD!!!!
@paulsky1 The funny thing about people like him is that they go on and on about how the UK should kowtow to the U.S. because (supposedly) the U.S. involvement in a war saved the UK's existence (never mind that the Battle of Britain happened a year before the U.S. joined that war)... yet they never suggest that the U.S. should kowtow to France for the same reason.
@Keeper1st Battle of Britain? Sorry but that wasn't the main reason we still exist, the real reason was due to the fact that Germany where fighting Russia at the same time.
People may suggest Battle Of Britain saved us, the reality was it gave us time that was all, D-Day nearly was a failure and technically was, and Operation Market Garden was a failure all accounts, it was only due to Germany eventually fighting on two front's that Germany lost.
Tea Party Member, aka "Tea Bagger" - individual of the far right who does not know what the term "tea bagging" actually means, believes six impossibly inane things before breakfast and has such amazing alumnii as Christine O'Donnel and Sarah Palin.
Hmmm, good and bad points as always. Corporations dont have nuclear weapons, very few last longer than 40 years and there are no end of scandals from them. Lobbying is undoubtedly dodgy, but it's life in action. How do you influence greedy, ambitious people? Hmmm, that would be money and power. Works for Communists as well as Capitalists, they're only human.
@axeman3d You make some fare points. Most of us have greedy and power hungry traits. The question is, not just, how do we harness these traits, but how do we best protect ourselves from the greed and megalomania of others?
Communism and fascism have so far failed on both these fronts.
Socialism has tended to fall short on the first score (motivation).
Capitalism has tended to fall short on the second score (protection from greed).
Bobby, you know absolutely NOTHING about we Tea Party members. You also know absolutely NOTHING about what Obama is trying to do to our way of life.
You are so far off base on this one, I am simply speechless.
90% of all Obama supporters, have now changed their views on this man. They no longer support him. He has consistently lied to the American people, REFUSES to take any responsibility for failures that are clearly his own... the list goes on and on.
@BaubleRob National news statistics. Liberals and Democrats hold a LOT of stock in statistical numbers, so I figured I would speak their language on this one.
It is an extremely simple matter, to look up interviews and videos of former Obama supporters, who now question his motives and political validity. Especially to his face, at MANY of the "Town Hall" meetings he appears at.
His approval rating is disintegrating faster everyday. He is the second most reviled President in our history.
@circutracer150 Anyone who doesn't put stock in statistics is kidding themselves, whether they're Conservative or Liberal. But I don't think this statistic stands up. Talking about interviews is pointless because they're anecdotes. That tells us nothing about numbers. Also, quoting national news is pretty empty. Which poll? How were 'supporters' defined? I'm nitpicking, but without this information, the figure 90% is totally spurious.
@BaubleRob It seems only we Conservatives, are questioned and ridiculed when we reference the same sources that Liberals use to defend themselves.
Point is, Obama has ignored our Constitution, has lied to us from day 1, has forced secretive bills through into Laws (while REFUSING to let the public see them, or vote on them), and will NOT take responsibility for his actions.
He did come through on his promise of change though. Everything has changed for the worse.
@circutracer150 Sorry, but I am not ridiculing you. I am asking you for your sources. You haven't given me a locatable source, so your 90% figure doesn't stand up.
Now you're just bringing up different points. The only thing I would say in response to them is this: Obama hasn't 'forced' through any bills. They have been passed by Congress. And none of them are 'secretive'. They are a matter of public record for anyone who is sufficiently interested to view.
@BaubleRob I named my sources QUITE clearly actually, in the first message I wrote. Even the Liberal media is starting to rail against Nobama.
Obama DID pass bills through WITHOUT allowing them to be read. This is FACT. The bills were "read" by selected individuals, BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, and then put into Law WITHOUT a vote.
You know, like the healthcare bill that was passed into Law, that those who passed ADMITTED NOT TO READING AT ALL.
It is YOUR facts and view that is skewed, not mine.
@circutracer150 You didn't name your sources. You said "national news statistics". That means nothing. A source is something you can find, like a website or a publication with a date. It's not difficult.
Members of Congress who didn't read the bill failed to read it of their own free will. They could have read it if they wanted to, but chose not to. Frankly, that happens all the time in politics and has nothing to do with Obama.
@circutracer150 No TV for 6.5 years. Luxury. We lived for three months in a paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the paper bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt. No TV for me whole life!
President Obama definitely, however you'd need to relate to what belief+faith+trust in the ALMIGHTY ELOHIM is equivalent with, for without regarding spiritual conceptions it's impossible to relate to a Christians' interpretation to President Obama, but there's nothing to fear in any anti-christ: "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, & of love, & of a sound mind." 2 Tim 1:7; "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Rom 8:31 <(^8
@netta2158 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Psalm 56:11 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Psalm 118:6
@comface Its a very famous Kryton aka Red Dwarf quote. And whilst not entirely relevant its not really spam. You should watch the episode, it is one of the very best. Interesting rant Bobby, hope you get some interesting feedback for your next rant.
Anyway, I'm with you. You were saying corporations are gaining more power and governments crumbling. I wasn't so sure until I got to thinking about the premise for the upcoming video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution. In it, a corporation couldn't get building permits for the city, so they just built a city ABOVE the old one. Talk about power, and who's really controlling who.
Thanks Rob, that really helped clarify a few things for me.
The guy on the right believes that if he can just make enough profit he can buy the whole world, whereas Obama thinks he's got to maintain his popularity.
So its an eternal popularity contest vs a never ending game of monopoly...
Have you seen the videos by John Harris? He makes out that basically both are two sides of the same corporatist coin, that even the house of lords is a company trading for profit.
I was chatting with a guy the other day on the train, he believed Obama is the anti-christ, not just as a phrase, he really believes Obama IS the anti-christ...LOL
Great to see you back Robert! I have missed your wet lib videos! I have been getting a healthy fix of your antics lately however....they have finally started showing Scrapheap Challenge in Australia (that I have known of anyway!) Very old episodes...but great nonetheless! :)
NoNONOONO I am a tea party supporter and think palin is a fucken moron. The tea party is being high-jacked by the pathetic hypocritical republicans. Money runs the world.
@dbztiki not IS being hijacked. HAS been hijacked.
The Tea-Party's image is quite solidly anti-Obama Republican now.
If you guys want to be taken seriously - you'll have to start a new party with a new name, and this time take better care to defend yourself from these monsters eh?
@roidroid You are the second person to use the term "you guys" . Tea party is a bunch of independent thinkers with no real party affiliation. Most, if not all "tea party" supporters just want their freedom back which the government has slowly been taking away. Tea party is not a real party.
@dbztiki all partys consist of independent thinkers, and there is no need to quote "you guys" like its a bad turn of phrase. It is aligned and openly on mass supports the far-right of republicanism, if you dislike being associated with "those guys" leave the movement and don't defend such people. Its clear its not a "real" party but it has political prowess and influence.
I heard somewhere that in every presidential election since world war II the candidate with the biggest campaign fund has gone on to win. If true this suggests that the US is no longer a democracy but is more a plutocracy.
I love these "Wet Liberal" rants, maybe because I agree with the vast majority of them, but also because they are often funny and entertaining at the same time as being informative.
nice vid bobby, it does thoroughly confuse me that people actually think Obama is the devil, he's just a normal guy, who's trying to fix a country that has falling apart.
@gigafortress More to the point, he's the scapegoat - the guy put in charge of a sinking ship; he gets the privilege of going down with it if he can't fix it, and gets the blame for the water damage and repair bill even if he can.
And of course, should he try overly radical measures (like recalling all overseas occupying military forces), he'll get shot.
Welcome back, Bobby. I've always been a bit of a lefty and at the ripe old age of 51 I cant see me changing any time soon. Someone once said to me that politics, rather than just linear left and right, is circular. Go far enough left and you end up on the right and vice versa.
Most of this goes straight over my head, as I'm at college and know little about American politics. However I find the way you speak, and the observations you make riveting and just a great YouTube show.
Another wonderful video, thank you so much for being reasonable and sane. Please keep them coming. Here in the states this is the tea party scare the crap out of regular folk such as myself.
is it not true that there is no real left or right?...they both basically end up doing the same things just that they go about it in slightly different way's,you know, one's a more direct approach the other head on bull in a china shop kind of style both basically bought off by the same people and just finding different way's to implement the changes requested of them, I mean there are the icing on the cake, window dressing policies for effect that differ, but the real meat seems to mince on.
Thank you! I whole heartedly agree with this. Libertarians in america are the new right wing, since they are constantly saying how the government is corrupting the corporations. When it's the corporations themselves who are CHOOSING to cut corners, and who have shown time and time and time again that they WILL scam you over if they get the chance and it will save them a few pennies. The issue here is greed, and we need to really look at who is being greedy here.
the Churchill quote is incorrectly ascribed, the phrase originated with Francois Guisot (1787-1874): "Not to be a republican at twenty is proof of want of heart; to be one at thirty is proof of want of head."
Obama was given a broken country with flat tires and a failed mot but hes getting it going pumping up the tires yea hes not god and cant make everything perfect instantly but with what hes got to work with hes done a damn fine job.
@weirdstuffanimation7 Yup...he's pumping up the tires but without patching the leak. Once he is done filling the fourth tire the first is already empty again and he has to start all over in an endless cycle. XD
As an American, I find it odd that a lot of those who identify themselves with the Tea Party also probably identify themselves as Christian, and yet espouse beliefs that seem antithetical to the teachings of Jesus - charity and caring for your fellow man. They argue that our country was founded on protecting the rights of the individual (a point with which I agree), but then they assume that anything remotely collectivist is bad.
By the way, scary corporate boss looks a bit like Norman Lovett.
@jerseydevs2000 Indeed. And they're opposed to anything remotely non-Christian. (They erroneously claim that Obama is a Muslim... like that would be a bad thing necessarily even if it were true...?) America was founded by people who were escaping religious intolerance and wanted to make sure it never happened again. The Tea Party is devoted to religious intolerance. I've said it many times: The biggest flag-waving "patriots" in America are, in fact, the least American in their sentiments.
@Keeper1st You know ZERO about the Tea Party movement apparently. We are not religious based in ANY way. I do not even believe in religion myself.
What you ARE saying though, is that we Tea Party members are not allowed to have our opinions or beliefs on Religion, because they conflict with yours. Having equal rights is ok with you liberals, as long as those rights do not interfere with your opinions.
"What you ARE saying though, is that we Tea Party members are not allowed to have our opinions or beliefs on Religion, because they conflict with yours."
Really? I am? I did not know that. Typical Tea Party nonsense. Someone disagrees with you and you shout that your rights are being infringed. Meanwhile you protest the building of a mosque in your town, or a same-sex marriage, or anything else involving actual rights, all the while waving a flag that is supposed to stand for those rights.
@Keeper1st Yes, and that is what you are STILL saying. The opinions of those that disagree with you are invalid in your eyes.
Secondly, I do not concern myself with who marries whom. I do take issue with Islam in general though, seeing as it is the single most violent religion in history. I also take issue with the building of ANY religious structure of ANY kind.
Third, you CANNOT exert your rights, without infringing on the rights of someone else. It CANNOT be done.
You are amazing in your complete incapability of logic. Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean that they think you don't have a right to that opinion. An opinion may be stupid, but that doesn't make it invalid.
Your last statement is... wow. So wrong. Actually so is the middle. I mean, the Crusades and all. Like you, I'd rather not see any furtherance of religion, but unlike you, I'm American enough to allow people the freedom to practice it as long as it stays out of government.
@Keeper1st Regarding the mosque near ground zero, I say let them build it. But across the street, we should put a topless bar, called "You Mecca Me Hot". Next to that, a gay bar called "The Turban Cowboy" and next to that, a pork-rib restaurant called "Iraq o' Ribs"? And a check cashing center called ..."Iran out of money" Lets see who's really tolerant!
By the way, EVERY fundamental Law written in our Constitution, is Christian in nature. You cannot separate Church and State.
@circutracer150 Um, no, those laws are about human decency and dignity, which is not the exclusive purview of Christianity (all major religions preach it -- yes, including Islam).
You forgot about the strip joint called Jesus Loves Jugs across the street from the Virgin Mary's abortion clinic.
Did you know that there IS "adult entertainment" closer to Ground Zero than the Park51 project? "Hallowed Ground" indeed.
If you ran for PM, Mr. Llewellen, I would vote for you... as I'm sure many would, but even if you have the highest number of votes, you should never expect it to matter. Not a single person in the UK voted for our current government.... not ONE... and yet we're stuck with them whether we like it or not. This is not democracy, it's dictatorship as overtly as it was with Hitler or Stalin.
To summarize, when is the last time you ever saw a poor politician? Politicians should not get paid anything more than Income Support Benefits or Jobseeker Allowance pays the poor (and often lazy, sad but true). This way, the only people who would bother with politics are those who genuinely want to make a positive difference to society itself.
Odd comparison really, Lloyd Blankfein actually funds the democratic party, i'd go as far as to say that Goldman funded the Obama campaign individually more than any other company.

@paulsky1 Anyone can hate Americans all they want. Fact is, we are the ULTIMATE superpower in the world.
Whether that changes in time is yet to be seen. But for now, we DO run this world. The rest of the world is so dependent upon us for SO much, that you CANNOT survive without us at this point.
The only thing Bush did wrong, was giving Liberals and Democrats EVERYTHING they wanted. They got their cake, and ate it too... and it apparently was dry and bitter.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@circutracer150 Please. Ever heard of China?
You are SO dependent on China it's scary. Check how much America is in debt to them. Check how many areas in the rest of the world they are in.
Read. Investigate. Don't just believe the people around you unless ALL the facts point their way.
Have a great day!
ottoarchitect 1 year ago
@ottoarchitect Lol... you can go on believing about this imaginary "debt" the USA has to China.... but sorry to tell you, that isn't the way it is. Monetary debt is irrelevant to the USA and to China.
The USA facilitates pretty well ALL of Chinas economy. Their dependence upon the USA is as absolute as the USA is to them.
Don't let the media fool you into thinking otherwise.

You think your country is powerful, yes it is, but not as pwerful as you think. There are far more powerful countries out there, america is just the one with the biggest military, our countries rely more on china more than america

SERIOUSLY, you are so blind!!
paulsky1 1 year ago
@paulsky1 I didn't get aggravated in any way at all. YOU however, seem VERY aggravated by my comments, as reflected by your response.
You have NEVER seen an American kill an ally, because that would mean that individual is NOT an ally by definition.
Also, you apparently haven't read very recent into history. Without the USA, you would be goose-stepping it to the Third Reich right now.
The U.K would not exist without the USA.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@circutracer150 im perfectly calm, and i agree that the US helped somewhat during WW2 but without the UK colonising your little corner of the world you wouldn't even be here.
Historical fact.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@circutracer150 WW2 would have ended without USA.. Hitler killed himself because he couldn't handle being so powerful.
UrbanDenim 1 year ago
@UrbanDenim Yeah.. because it had nothing to do with the fact that the USA joining the war, had crumbled his "Thousand Year Reich" right before his eyes.
Nothing to do with him seeing an inevitable LOSS against the Allies...
And certainly nothing to do with the fact that he was insane.
The war would have gone on, with or without 'ol Adolf. There is alway someone waiting to take the reins of power from the boss.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@UrbanDenim I don't know about that last statement, but let us do consider that the Battle of Britain happened before the U.S. entered the war. The UK defended themselves from the Nazis just fine on their own. That was a turning point, as was the increased participation of the Soviets on the Eastern Front. Once Germany was spread across two fronts, it was only a matter of time before it was defeated. The U.S. involvement only sped things along.
Keeper1st 1 year ago
@circutracer150 it WOULDNT of ended... my my ... your very mistaken, I will admit that it wouldn't of ended as history currently tells it, america and the whole world would be totally under nazi regime right now and there would be an underground fighting for freedom. But your theory that a countries military strength being its actual strength is very very mistaken, Military isnt everything, maybe you should stop being so patriotic and look past your ego once in a while to see the truth before u
paulsky1 1 year ago
@paulsky1 Take a very short, research minded look, into a valid text book or Wikipedia, or any other accepted source of knowledge.
See all those world powers throughout history? You know, the ones completely running the show at their times in history?
Biggest and strongest military made that possible. That is also recorded and accepted fact. Technology and Military.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@circutracer150 its true that your country has obsessed itself with gaining military power but strength isnt everything. I assure you also that history is written by the winners, therefor no version of history is true nor accurate. Knowledge is power and from where im standing the US is very much a child country acting out wioth anger because he wants to be noticed and because it feels like osme countries are ignoring it your ego is just as big as USA's ego ... PERIOD!!!!
paulsky1 1 year ago
@paulsky1 The funny thing about people like him is that they go on and on about how the UK should kowtow to the U.S. because (supposedly) the U.S. involvement in a war saved the UK's existence (never mind that the Battle of Britain happened a year before the U.S. joined that war)... yet they never suggest that the U.S. should kowtow to France for the same reason.
Keeper1st 1 year ago 2
@Keeper1st lol thats well said ^_^ im enjoying this debate even more now that others are joining in XD
paulsky1 1 year ago
@Keeper1st Battle of Britain? Sorry but that wasn't the main reason we still exist, the real reason was due to the fact that Germany where fighting Russia at the same time.
People may suggest Battle Of Britain saved us, the reality was it gave us time that was all, D-Day nearly was a failure and technically was, and Operation Market Garden was a failure all accounts, it was only due to Germany eventually fighting on two front's that Germany lost.

Works for Communists as well as Capitalists, they're only human.
axeman3d 1 year ago
@axeman3d You make some fare points. Most of us have greedy and power hungry traits. The question is, not just, how do we harness these traits, but how do we best protect ourselves from the greed and megalomania of others?
Communism and fascism have so far failed on both these fronts.
Socialism has tended to fall short on the first score (motivation).
Capitalism has tended to fall short on the second score (protection from greed).
Prunesqualer 1 year ago
Bobby, you know absolutely NOTHING about we Tea Party members. You also know absolutely NOTHING about what Obama is trying to do to our way of life.
You are so far off base on this one, I am simply speechless.
90% of all Obama supporters, have now changed their views on this man. They no longer support him. He has consistently lied to the American people, REFUSES to take any responsibility for failures that are clearly his own... the list goes on and on.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@circutracer150 90%? That sounds almost impossibly high. Where did you get that number?
BaubleRob 1 year ago
@BaubleRob National news statistics. Liberals and Democrats hold a LOT of stock in statistical numbers, so I figured I would speak their language on this one.
It is an extremely simple matter, to look up interviews and videos of former Obama supporters, who now question his motives and political validity. Especially to his face, at MANY of the "Town Hall" meetings he appears at.
His approval rating is disintegrating faster everyday. He is the second most reviled President in our history.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@circutracer150 Anyone who doesn't put stock in statistics is kidding themselves, whether they're Conservative or Liberal. But I don't think this statistic stands up. Talking about interviews is pointless because they're anecdotes. That tells us nothing about numbers. Also, quoting national news is pretty empty. Which poll? How were 'supporters' defined? I'm nitpicking, but without this information, the figure 90% is totally spurious.
BaubleRob 1 year ago
@BaubleRob It seems only we Conservatives, are questioned and ridiculed when we reference the same sources that Liberals use to defend themselves.
Point is, Obama has ignored our Constitution, has lied to us from day 1, has forced secretive bills through into Laws (while REFUSING to let the public see them, or vote on them), and will NOT take responsibility for his actions.
He did come through on his promise of change though. Everything has changed for the worse.
Things will Change in November.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@circutracer150 Sorry, but I am not ridiculing you. I am asking you for your sources. You haven't given me a locatable source, so your 90% figure doesn't stand up.
Now you're just bringing up different points. The only thing I would say in response to them is this: Obama hasn't 'forced' through any bills. They have been passed by Congress. And none of them are 'secretive'. They are a matter of public record for anyone who is sufficiently interested to view.
BaubleRob 1 year ago
@BaubleRob I named my sources QUITE clearly actually, in the first message I wrote. Even the Liberal media is starting to rail against Nobama.
Obama DID pass bills through WITHOUT allowing them to be read. This is FACT. The bills were "read" by selected individuals, BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, and then put into Law WITHOUT a vote.
You know, like the healthcare bill that was passed into Law, that those who passed ADMITTED NOT TO READING AT ALL.
It is YOUR facts and view that is skewed, not mine.
circutracer150 1 year ago
@circutracer150 You didn't name your sources. You said "national news statistics". That means nothing. A source is something you can find, like a website or a publication with a date. It's not difficult.
Members of Congress who didn't read the bill failed to read it of their own free will. They could have read it if they wanted to, but chose not to. Frankly, that happens all the time in politics and has nothing to do with Obama.

The guy on the right believes that if he can just make enough profit he can buy the whole world, whereas Obama thinks he's got to maintain his popularity.

By the way, scary corporate boss looks a bit like Norman Lovett.
jerseydevs2000 1 year ago 2
@jerseydevs2000 Indeed. And they're opposed to anything remotely non-Christian. (They erroneously claim that Obama is a Muslim... like that would be a bad thing necessarily even if it were true...?) America was founded by people who were escaping religious intolerance and wanted to make sure it never happened again. The Tea Party is devoted to religious intolerance. I've said it many times: The biggest flag-waving "patriots" in America are, in fact, the least American in their sentiments.
Keeper1st 1 year ago
@Keeper1st You know ZERO about the Tea Party movement apparently. We are not religious based in ANY way. I do not even believe in religion myself.
What you ARE saying though, is that we Tea Party members are not allowed to have our opinions or beliefs on Religion, because they conflict with yours. Having equal rights is ok with you liberals, as long as those rights do not interfere with your opinions.
circutracer150 1 year ago
"What you ARE saying though, is that we Tea Party members are not allowed to have our opinions or beliefs on Religion, because they conflict with yours."
Really? I am? I did not know that. Typical Tea Party nonsense. Someone disagrees with you and you shout that your rights are being infringed. Meanwhile you protest the building of a mosque in your town, or a same-sex marriage, or anything else involving actual rights, all the while waving a flag that is supposed to stand for those rights.
Keeper1st 1 year ago
@Keeper1st Yes, and that is what you are STILL saying. The opinions of those that disagree with you are invalid in your eyes.
Secondly, I do not concern myself with who marries whom. I do take issue with Islam in general though, seeing as it is the single most violent religion in history. I also take issue with the building of ANY religious structure of ANY kind.
Third, you CANNOT exert your rights, without infringing on the rights of someone else. It CANNOT be done.
circutracer150 1 year ago
You are amazing in your complete incapability of logic. Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean that they think you don't have a right to that opinion. An opinion may be stupid, but that doesn't make it invalid.
Your last statement is... wow. So wrong. Actually so is the middle. I mean, the Crusades and all. Like you, I'd rather not see any furtherance of religion, but unlike you, I'm American enough to allow people the freedom to practice it as long as it stays out of government.
Keeper1st 1 year ago

I am 19 and I'm going to stay as idealistic and liberal for as long as I possibly can! Keep doing what you're doing, Bob. I love it.
