  • What episode is this?

  • The whole time i was expecting him to say ALIENS.

  • It's a sink hole. Now walk away and forget about it.

  • I weep for my countrymen that such a program exists.

  • One day after many more dollars have been spent and lives have been lost they will eventually get to the bottom and find a chest. When they open the chest they will find a piece of paper with trollface.jpg on it and all shout FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU whilst the aliens shout PWNED! and laugh their asses off whilst watching from their UFOs.

  • The water is the problem. Suck out the water, or keep it from getting in.

  • This is such garbage. A show about Oak Island spends 50% of its time surmising about biblical garbage.

  • @hypoxide this is actually a show about aliens fool

  • I'd bet my money it was Edward Teach. The guy was a genius and geographically it makes sense.

  • Or let me boggle your minds even more....Could it be the body of Jesus??? Or maybe it is an alien artifact just not the Covenant! Maybe aliens told humans to hide this artifact?

  • Obviously there's something buried at the bottom. Has anyone possibly thought maybe a highly intelligent people were hiding something that couldn't be explained in there time? Could it have been the Atlanteans?

  • Send Revis, he knows his way around islands. Matter of fast is he has his own

  • no more likes

  • this is so badass

  • this wud be a good national treasure movie

  • At the very bottom of the Money Pit, lies a single piece of paper. Written upon it, are the words "lol, pwned."

  • Why would aliens bury Shakespeare's original manuscripts? His plays made me want to stab my eyes out in high school and in my opinion, is a waste of paper..

  • most likely the flooding is a natural thing. probably someone digging for gold or treasure or some other valuable hit the water table and abandoned the effort. the whole money pit misadventure owes its existance to the mistaken assumption that there is something valuable down there, when in fact, there isnt.

  • @SGDeGalvez That all sounds good, up until you make the claim that it is a "fact" that there is nothing down there. The fact is, no one knows if there is anything down there. One extreme claim to counter another does not render either one untrue.. or true.

  • @whanethewhip ahhh, but it is a fact, isn't it? Sufficient efforts have been made to recover any valuables that are buried there. The treasure has either already been recovered or there was never any treasure there to begin with. at some point we have to accept one of these solutions as 'fact'. the whole problem begins with accepting as 'fact' the argument that there is treasure buried there despite absolutley no evidence to support it.

  • @SGDeGalvez Nope, still not a fact. The problem is that you are dealing with absolutes in a world of probabilities. There is "probably" nothing down there, but you take a leap when you make the "claim" that nothing is down there. In order to prove your claim, you would have to show evidence of depths reached that surpass previous attempts when the pit was flooded and halted progress. Since no further progress has been made, the correct fact is: we do not know what's down there, or what's not.

  • @whanethewhip there is a giant ball of chocolate at the center of the earth. this statement is assumed false until proven otherwise. it is a fact, that there is no giant ball of chocolate at the center of the earth, not because someone has a sample of the center of the earth, but by a reasonable doubt. The treasure theory has been proven false, by a reasonable doubt. not beyond ANY doubt, but a reasonable doubt.

  • @SGDeGalvez Wrong analogy. First of all, you've gone from "nothing" to "something specific". Secondly, the exaggeration of comparing the distance to the center of the Earth (and conditions) is contrasted with the Oak pit. You are right in assuming the default position, but wrong in ignoring all the clues that suggest that there was something at the bottom of a pit. Also, you've changed your claim from "nothing is down there" to "there is no treasure there". Who decides what is "reasonable"?

  • @whanethewhip ok, maybe i am leaping to conclusions. but, take a look at 2:47 and give me a scenario where 3 kids see some green lights in the woods and this is what they found. my friend, this is a major construction project for todays tech. unless you are suggestion an alien race would do this, but couldnt find a better hiding place for thier treasure, like the moon. i mean, just sit back and think about it for a while. its an urban legend gone awry, IMHO.

  • @SGDeGalvez

This thing at 2:47 is the current situation.

You decide how is created. :)

  • @ronhamilton676 actually they poured red dye in the hole and it came out in 3 places, so they conjured up this idea, to splain it. let me see, if there were natural under ground water ways, which is quite possible, even in a desert, much more a tiny island surrounded by ocean, the red dye just might find its way to the source with the tide, but heck, get your shovel and go have a crack at it, lemme know.

  • @SGDeGalvez

Nice theory, but unfortunately the canals are very well documented.

  • @ronhamilton676 and we cant block them off? if they are 'well documented' (and man made) it should be a breeze to pour some expanding foam into the opening and choke off the water. ya see, now we need a story explaining why we cant block off the water pipes in the 21st century and they could dig them in the 17th century.

  • @SGDeGalvez I can't give you any crazy theories because I don't have them. My thoughts teeter along the idea that there may have once been a plan in place to build a levy along with a drain for flood waters and we see what was left from that incomplete task. It's like I said before, there is "probably" nothing down there, but I won't rule it out completely despite my opinions, at least not until someone can get beyond that metal plate. But that's just my personal view, with limitations.

  • @SGDeGalvez "Sufficient efforts"? Whether or not something is a fact is based on collected data, not "effort". From what I understand there is an iron plate down there and no record of anyone going beyond it. Do you regard the iron plate as nothing?

  • its prof oak testing his pokemon

  • 0:22 ALIENS!!!!!

  • I think someone (or something?) set this thing up as a joke. I can just see those aliens, hovering above, laughing and saying to each other "Look at those stupid humans digging down through that shaft we made that night when we were drunk on Romulan ale! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Eggs are terrestials buried the Ark in Canada? Sweet.

  • @JaysCyYoung1

One thing is for sure. The canal network is made by machines. :)

  • That Tsoukalos has a real annoying voice and manner of speaking. The hair is cool though! If he's Centauri.

  • ALIENS?

  • The ark of the covenant? Send in Indiana Jones!

  • @TheGopherbuddy

BP can do it. Not Indiana Jones.

  • I knew he was Greek. There just was something about him.

  • history television is such a joke.

  • @goldengrizz03 You must not have a very curious mind

  • Templars!

  • My hair? .. ALIENS

  • 1:46 ALIENS????

  • Oak island money pit is a filtering system used to filter a mass volume of water

  • @macktosh What would be the purpose of the mass filtered water?

  • @macktos, that makes no sense.

  • @grendel1100

There is some high tech installation in the bottom I guess(Radiation).

This tech can be very profitable.

  • Leave it to the History Channel to totally distort and sensationalize the story - worse than any tabloid, in order to make interesting copy.

  • @jamesminteer What's distorted?

  • Island is the shape of a duck haha

  • Comment removed

  • ALIENS.

  • We can travel to outer space but we can't dig 300 ft. Come on...

  • @Cpowers1990

It's the water man, we don't know how to handle that mysterious stuff :)

  • @Cpowers1990 if god doesnt want it to happen it wont

  • @Cpowers1990 It's not a problem digging. It's a groundwater hydrology problem. Sure you can dig that deep, but can you dig that deep underwater? The only way they could have done it would have been to use an elaborate pumping and plumbing system to pump out the water. The argument is that they then used that water and plumbing system to create an elaborate vault... Regardless of who built it, it was far far more advanced that anything they should have been able to do. Your argument is invalid.

  • Comment removed

  • @Cpowers1990 Don't you know, we havn't been to the moon.

  • just seal off those flood shafts and keep on f digging. whats' so difficult?

  • well then it must have been AAALIENS ! come on, arc feels like a bit of a stretch loosely based on legends, 4 people died in the hole from carbon monoxide off the machines that made them pass out, fall in the pit and drown, it's only my opinion but i don't think the arc is down there, not with that kind of "evidence" they provide, treasure, hell yes i think that's what is down there but check out this article, it's a little less far fetched zazenlife. com/2011/12/22/the-oak-island-treasure-pit/

  • @whanethewhip Whats your proof the arc exists? no evidence supporting it no reason to believe it.

  • @Atheieye Why are you asking me to provide proof for claims that I never made? Stop being a troll, actually read what people say and respond to that, not just what you wished they had said so that you have excuse to be an ass.

  • Wow, incredibly interesting. Makes you wonder, what IS down there?

  • um claug the holes?

  • @whanethewhip It annoys me. And they didn't present it as just an unlikely theory, they went on about the ark and aliens for 15 minutes, even though for all we know the easter bunny is on the bottom of that shaft.

And if you read the comments, people actually believes this shit, which is primarily why I'm annoyed.

  • @CertifiedBad4ss And the video is under 10 min so they could not have gone on about the ark for 15 minutes. Furthermore, how LONG someone talks about something does not matter. They clearly present this as a possibility.... and guess what, it *IS* a possibility. It's not probable, but it is possible. Listen to what is said... they never make a claim, they ask questions and present possibilities, simple as that.

  • @CertifiedBad4ss First mention of the Ark was at 4:17 and leading up to that it was described as "perhaps the most audacious theory". Correct me if I'm wrong, but the (H) channel seems to agree with you, even if the interviewed guests do not. The Ark is then a central focus up to the end. Total time discussed: roughly 5 minutes. Also, I think it's okay if people believe it, it should not make you angry. Maybe something else is making you angry.

  • my idea of whats in there is some form of treasure that was left by the templars because i think the templars with the norse vikings were on north america this theory is supported by the kensington rune stone found in 1898 with insriptions similar to a land claim that was dated 1326 and was written in templar code now whether the treasure is some sacred object is a matter of opinion i think theres probably gold at the bottom of the pit but the question can be raised why so much for protection

  • Obviously aliens eat coconuts.

  • @whanethewhip I said they are talking about the theories like its facts, while presenting no proof what so ever. Its the same in every damn show.

  • My only problem with these history channel shows, is that they draw conclusions with no proof, at all. They have literally NO idea what, if anything, is down there, yet they throw around theories like its facts.

  • yep puddle clay to keep the walls of the shaft dry.

  • coconut fibers was ropes, im still thinking pple. also the clay way below was used to keep the side of the shaft dry after the water was let out.am i helping here pple,

  • @eyeshighfly yes do that ok, just be careful get ur water proof cam too and bring the drinks

  • god's toilet

  • Aliens

  • sooo.... is it sad that in this day and age the ancients still play tricks on us?

  • wait now mabe there is a fire map,its possible on the main land recorded. like is said it this is treasure water wells was recored.

  • actually i would like to go there and see for my self, ok message is at 98ft forty feet below two million pounds are buried nah do some math ppple.think now

  • Strange green lights? Aliens. Platforms located in pit? Aliens. Stone slab with bizarre writing? Aliens. Coconut trees in Canada? Aliens.

  • no other explanation other than aliens

  • Build a dam around the island, pump the water out, dig the hole, find the buried treasure

  • They say the money pit was build by Captain Kid. Apparently he was something of an engineer...

  • Biblical artifacts in North America? Must be Mormon Aliens...

  • From the first time I heard about the money pit, it fascinating. The speculation and possibilities of it are mind boggling. I would definitely love to finally know what is in the pit because it really could be anything. However, this pit could really change the world - what if there is an alien artifact or the ark of the covenant? That seems radical but is indeed possible.

  • aliens.

  • yes the romans did have city sewer

  • I think that Oak Island exhibited an unprecedented technology which denotes an extraterrestrial presence. For this reason, I don't believe it to contain any treasure as with this know-how, they could've mined the earth then left with everything, if they were so inclined. The real question is: what else are they capable of? The universe is billions of years old. Think about the progress we've made in just 100 yrs. Now imagine if there were people who had a 10 million year head start. Whoa!

  • Meanwhile in Canada...

  • There is certainly no evidence that suggest it WASN'T aliens... so it must have been aliens.

  • its Aliens..either that or the Humans back then were just smarter than we think, and maybe smarter than us!

  • @Dashiar maybe smarter than us? no deffinatley. There are numerous ancient structures around the globe that exhibit a level of architecture we could not replicate today. Some of these structures show carvings that could only have been made with a diamond tipped drill. many of the structures have PERFECTLY straight edges and have PERFECT symmetry. If human beings created these thousands of years ago and we cannot remake them, they were absolutley smarter then us

  • history channel = aliens did it.

  • -_-

too much speculation, this is a stupid show...

  • One thing is clear... canada! does not have any coconut trees... ^_^

  • There's a possibility that the Ark of the Covenant is buried at the bottom of the pit? Who is this guy? Completely ridiculous.

  • I'm NOT saying it's aliens

    buuuut it's aliens

  • that guy's hair was styled by aliens

  • Never knew History Channel is so full of nonsense.

Not only is the idea of some pirate treasure at the bottom of some impossible to reach pit ridiculous in itself, but that the Arc of the Covenant ended up there is just ludicrous.

What's next? Genghis Khan's treasure is hidden there too?

  • and this is why i dont watch history channel anymore... half of it is alien conspiracies

  • no wits posible to get to the bottom

  • @loveintheparanormal then why would there be wood beams all the way down that far...

  • If the worlds best engineers worked on this for a good few months I'm sure we could reach the bottom, Its a bit ridiculous to think with today's technology we cant make it to the bottom.

  • explain the parchment and the gold then and I'm not letting you have 'planted by workers' even though thats probably the answer.

  • ha acinet aliens is great :)

  • @Tkdbigsteven Dude not this one i live in nova scotia and this one is a lie theres no rumor or anything related to those 3 green lights theres been documentarys about it already and non ever said it.

Theres also the tab with symbols again they lied to you its already been decoded twice and what it says is forty feet below two million pounds burried.

They also found lots of tunnel networds and the oak stuff was actually a water trigger.

  • ok ill solve your digging problem no more deaths, first you put the dye in it flows out three sides mark the sides build small dam around the three exits drain the water out then dig. see easy and if the ark is there you should leave it there,

problems are easy when your not from here . marzy

  • how can the people in the past build this huge hole and the tunnels with out technology?

  • @SomeOne5878 ancients were way smarter than us the evidence is everywhere

  • Bush built that whole after Katrina so he could hide

  • My theory Time travelers wanting to be remembered. They landed at Oak Island because some time in the future Canada takes over the world to spread their governmental beliefs and medical coverage. Oak Island becomes a hot spot for tourism and scientific studies.

  • Im not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens.

  • i always enjoy hearing about this tale for this location. thank you.

  • I am currently watching this on tv and wanted to know who owns this "Privately Owned Property"? Also did they stop searching because they got greedy and started digging from an angle causing the pit to flood causing what ever was down there to be lost/destroyed???? Why did they stop going further down the money pit?

  • Although I find this mystery genuinely fascinating, Giorgio Tsoukalos is a TOOL. The 40 year wandering of the Israelites has been disproven by Israeli and other archaeologists. How uninformed can one be, and still have a shot in the History Channel?

  • aliens son

  • Its where the locust are gonna come out on E-Day....

  • ALIENS.

  • this island floods

  • theres no ark,,, i believe this was a underground levi to hold the water back as ships in the night approched. thats why there was a dam.. once the tide level came up over the dam, it went down in the long shafts, and exited out on side of island back into the water, it told the islanders at the tree the water level was high, and it also gave them notice to ships passing by at night in dark

  • @roseforvendetta That's the best explanation I've heard yet. How dare you spoil all the fun we're having speculating about aliens! No really though, your explanation holds alot of water. ;)

  • @whanethewhip aw thank you but if ur looking for treasure my freind i have another theory, around the island shore to low for ship to dock. so mr whanethewhip... they had to drop the goods off so they would slide down the shafts, but only slide with water.. water carried the goods to the main feed which thats where the water filled up pushing the goods up futher in the main shaft up to the ground level under the tree but the one u touched( the chest) mabe got stuck,

  • @whanethewhip Now I'm not saying it was aliens. But it was aliens.

  • @whanethewhip That doesn't make any sense. The dams were built by the treasure hunters to try to keep the water from entering the tunnels that fed into the shaft.

  • @omenroc1 Or... The dams were built to prevent low level flooding and a drainage system was installed for those times when flooding was overwhelming.

  • @whanethewhip - No. See there were lots of expeditions by professional construction companies to try to get to the bottom of the pit. There is no mystery as to who built the dam. The only mystery is: What's at the bottom and who put it there.

  • @omenroc1 Read the top most comment by roseforvendetta. The suggestion made there was that there was a dam to aid ships BEFORE treasure hunters discovered the shafts years later. We're not talking about the dams built later by the treasure hunters.

  • @whanethewhip - I'll look into it, but I have read a lot on the topic. I don't think that makes sense, because the island was not inhabited, so why would anyone need to construct anything to aide ships? They wouldn't.

  • Comment removed

  • @roseforvendetta it still does not explain how the hell human beings can drill something that friggin humongous IN the island UNDER water 3 TIMES, INCLUDING the main hole???? THERES NO FRIGGIN WAY!!! and the oak trees!!! dude before the year 1775!!??? really???

  • people like to make it as a theory of alien if there is any unsolved mystery question.

  • @roseforvendetta then why is there parchment at the bottom with writing on it?

  • @uhhlarryhoovah but what about ALIENS?

  • @roseforvendetta meh that doesn't hold a lot of water

  • @roseforvendetta i'm curious as to how something like that gets made though.

  • @LobsterPotsticker im sure back then the island wasnt that small. and it wasnt uncommon to build levis. man was very knowledge in enginerring. the romans proved that for us. under ground serwer systems and water systems.

  • @roseforvendetta nothing was ever that deep though

and there couldn't have been a perfect uncovered circular hole if that many levels had been added to it.

would have been buried by the additional layers

  • @roseforvendetta

True, but the Romans didn't build sewer systems in the middle of nowhere. They focused on huge cities, like Rome. Also after Rome fell, the idea of sewer system was FORGOTTEN for 1500 years until they built the London sewer system in the 1800's.

Sorry, but what you are saying makes absolutely no sense.

  • @roseforvendetta if that was true than the scientists would have said so, and how do you explain the coconut mat and tablet. Seriously, noone would go through the trouble of doing such thing. Would you? exactly

  • @roseforvendetta

Sounds plausible but how do you explain the many layers of coconut fibers being layed on to the different platforms that theyve dug up so far? not saying its alien based at all but definately pointless to have the fibers in there if its basically just a drain

  • @roseforvendetta Then how do you explain the layer of oak logs every 10 feet past 200 feet, not to mention the elaborately constructed flood shafts?

  • @roseforvendetta Lets not forget about the Coptic Message in the stone at 98ft. "forty feet below two million pounds are buried" If it were a dam.. there would be record of it being built. Government or non government. No records, means secrets, secrets could mean value. But the thing that bothers me is... it wasn't hidden very well.

  • @ubertuberx5 i agree it wasnt hidden wel if it was any treasure.. mabe the records are on the nearest main land. but it goes to far back for that i think. mabe not, it being a island pple going coming something was recorded not keep there,i remeber looking up something couldnt find it but i found it through old fire station maps, cause a city town had to be recorded through very old fire stations.the fire chiefs i dont know about that time period but they used to go around the town

  • @roseforvendetta good thinking mate but 1st: Why would they add the layers of oak and coconut fibers? 2nd: according to the 3d model, I don't think the shafts were meant to evacuate water, but to, in fact to flood the pit.

  • @azaelandy04 well the coconut fibers mabe ropes that was once used to bring things up from below. ye ropes.

  • aliens

  • “Forty feet below two million pounds are buried"...

is most likely the meaning of the (childish) cryptogram... (capital F, hence the extra symbol in the first "word", perhaps...)

Anyway if true it could be worth some effort to try...

(Someone asked, the whole video is "Ancient Aliens Season 1 Episode 5(FULL)"

  • Comment removed

  • I have heard speculation that the American colonists hid something there from the British in the revolution.

  • i know whats in the bottom NOTHING

  • The Ark theory is absurd. There is no more reason for it to be the Ark than anything else.

  • theirs another money pit not to many people know about outside of Peggys cove nova scotia on an inland sorry cant give the name my family has owned the island for over 200 years and it is suspected captain kid has berried Treasure there but the tide always comes in and floods the shaft just like oak island im not sure if researchers know of this site but i cant give the name of the island people have triend to get in to but failed message me for more info if u would like

  • @xcoldmurderx123 I wish there was a rule on the internet that prevented dumb fucks like you from posting anything on the web unless they had proof and could cite that proof. "I know a secret ... but I can't tell you..." SHUTUP! And learn how to fucking spell and use a fucking period or two so your post does not run on.

  • @truthaboutflu im only 14 lol

  • @truthaboutflu look up cochrans island n.s. captain kids treasure on google thats all the proof u need

  • people are forgetting what brought those boys to the island in the first place

  • The PIT ... IS ALIENS

  • One thing i can be sure of... no one work so hard (at least back in those times) to hide something and protect it if its not important... you should count on it!

  • When Moses escaped from Egypt with the Israelites he took the long way on the coast of present day Saudi Arabia on the way Moses went up the mountain (present day mount sainai) it is said that god gave him the ten commandments there and that it was so powerful that if you looked at it you would die instantly so they had to carry it under a blanket, it also protected them from enemies on the way. There was a theory that somehow it was destroyed, but the conspirators said how could you destroy so

  • @basketball1537 I'm sorry my friend, but the Bible is fiction.

  • @basketball1537 How did they get it in the blanket. Infact. How did they read it?

  • Couldn't they flood it all, drill a hole down a few feet wide then send in divers?

  • the legendary pokemon lugia is at the bottom still sleeping in his lair

  • lol manuskripts of shakespeare good one

  • I thought this was going to be about Pokemon... :(

  • Why don't they just seal off all 3 of the shafts ?

  • with the proper funding, the water can be pumped out, the platforms and stone slabs can be removed, the shafts can be plugged and whatever lies below can be revealed. Or if all else fails, we can nuke the fuck out of that place, nobody likes canadians anyways:) lol jk

  • @MrReichstetter If America dared to nuke Canada, all the global powers of the World would unite and pummel America into surrender, or oblivion. Just FYI, it wouldn't turn out so well.
