I see that *all* the US coast guard public service announcement videos (related to safety) are about the importance of life jackets.

They are pretty slow to download. I wonder if they are all on Youtube.

If you can swim and there are no rocks or hard objects where you are boating then how are these people dying? Why are they being saved by pfds? It seems to me that I swim better without my pfd. There are no rocks, only my kayak, so I am not sure how I am going to fall unconscious. If I can swim faster without a pfd then I am scared that I will loose touch with my bigger better pdf = my sit on top kayak = if I wear a pfd.
