i have a slightly modded srt-4 and i run 12's at the 1/4, actually last time i went to the drag strip i beat me a cobra..late 90s era. my gf had a 00 gt..guess what..it didnt stand a chance and it had an exhaust and cai and udp's....mustangs are slow..reality..they are slow!..mustang cobras and rare and gts are rare..blah blah..reality..they are not..i drive a mustang..reaility..so does every other doushebag that can get a 5-10 grand..loan with parents as a co signer..lol

Hey I had a 2000 gt mustang and then I sold it and got an Srt-4, I can say I did like my mustang but, I love my new car its all around better, I would of gotten a 04 gt or cobra but it has the same interior as it did 10 years ago which is not the best and doesnt have a comfortable drive. Srt 4 drivers do talk a lot of shit but so do Mustang drivers, I respect any nice car, specially if it beats mine. Cant we all just get along!!

Yeah i do love how that stang has a kenne belle sc and thousands of dollars worth of mods, yet the srt's shown are all stock from factory. Before i sold mine, i took it to the track, ran 13's pretty much stock and had no problem beating pretty much stock stangs. SRT4 are a good car with good power for the money. They can keep up with most of the cars out there today, and can surely beat any stock Honda Si any day. They are basically just a Neon with more power, and nobody can deny that, but some people don't really care. At least their SRT4 engine is made to handle a turbo, and doesn't need to be upgraded like a Honda to handle a turbo. Stock for stock the SRT would shit on ANY FWD Honda period, bottom line

Here's a few facts.

The yellow SRT4 in the video was actually running well over 500 horsepower, and despite blowing the motor ran a mid 12's quarter.

More facts... a stock SRT4 is not going to take a modded mustang in most cases, and if anyone says something like that on the forums, they get schooled by other SRT4 owners.

That being said however, the STOCK srt4 beats any year stock GT or 5.0 until 2005 with the newest body style.

Finally, the srt4 is VERY reliable. End.

Believe me, there are vids of srt4s destroying cobras. These cars are the least expensive to mod and they move, who cares if it looks like a neon. So then lets agree that an Evo is just a souped lancer which is 130hp and an sti is just a souped up impreza which has 160hp. Its called having a performance model of a car people, and believe or not thats what the srt4 is for a neon. There is nothing the same about a neon engine compared to a srt4 engine.
