You are not the criminal. The tyrants that run this country there the fucking criminals. Check out the lake forest city council meetings on medical marijuana help save lake forest and the patients that live there. We feel your pain KEEP ON TRUCKING
Holy crap man....i tear up listening to your pain. I am lucky enough to have my health so far. But I smoke pot. I am SO sorry you are one of the many who are criminalized due to confusing medical mj laws. What happened to liberty, freedom, and justice. This doob I'm about to smoke goes out to you man. Good luck buddy, seriously.
I admire your bravery. I to have come forward in illinois. And ask that others join us. This is the only way to win this illegal, immoral and unjust war. On the sick ,disabled and dieing Americans. We are not 2nd class citizens and have a constitutional right to use a safe earth med. That unlike narcotics & other Md's , has never killed anyone. Please people come forward.
It's okay to get drunk and smoke tobacco, both of which have documented NEGATIVE health effects (with the exception of the "wine helps your heart" thing)... but those are legal. And fun! Because they're not drugs!
...right? Ugh. I feel your pain, sir, and for fear of prosecution, I cannot say why or how I can relate to you. The Patriot Act is passed, and I don't want to risk what I already do by handing the government a confession on the internet.
I would like for you to explain to us (AK) how you can call a bag of "POT", medical marijuana???? Did your doctor hand you a prescription for your "medical marijuana" or was it purchased from a drug dealer?
Actually my family doctor, my pain management physician, and my neurologist all orally prescribed cannabis for my condition. It is illegal to even speak of marijuana to patients in my state, yet these brave doctors risked everything to bring this to my attention. My pharmaceutical load has remained the same for 14 years without loss of effectiveness or increased dosage, because narcotic pain relievers work 3 times more effectively when combined with cannabis. My pot is grown by my caretaker.
you can find this information in multiple places an the net, just type in "opioid receptors augment by cb1 and cb2 uptake".
The institute of medicine's "Marijuana and Medicine:assessing the science base(dec 4 2006), "Pain Management: a practical guide for clinicians, chapter 31 "the role of cannabis and cannabinoids in pain management", and The Pulsus Groups "Guidelines for the use of cannabinoid compounds in chronic pain" are all good reads on the subject.
truemirror, every word you said (in this comment and your others, aside from Vioxx) is my life, too. Fortunately I'm in CA, where medical MJ is legal. Not according to the feds, but state-wide it is. I'm getting my prescription ID in the next month or so, and won't be a CRIMINAL for treating my pain anymore.
You have my empathy (never an insult of pity, though!), and if you ever need someone to talk to.... I'm here. :)
Well, with my fiance in the military.... "legal" in this state or not, HE could get into trouble for it being in his home. I have a feeling that once we're married, it'll have to be 100% hidden, meaning no prescription ID anymore. I won't risk him getting into trouble w/the military by my being on public records.
There's still a LOT of fighting to be done, even in the few "legal" states.
I hope you're no longer being harassed! You've got enough on your plate, you don't need stress!
I'm crying, because I understand, I feel your pain, I too am a chronic pain patient, I don't smoke pot, but will try it when pohibitation is over, the pharmasuticals are killing me one organ at a time, after 8 years of pain management, but very little relief, I still am not a productive citizen, they'd rather put me on a morphine pump or/and deadly oxycoton than let me find releif with the much safer and healthier alternitive, medical marijuana.
"To defend my right to be one of the Living Dead." Right on the nail!
The tears blur my eyes as I type this now. I live it too. We are discriminated against for being ill, different, "living the life" of Social Security income and treating the pain with a drug MUCH more efective than any pill prescribed; not to mention MUCH less risk of side effects and addiction.
I will never insult you with pity. You do have, however, my empathy.
i smoke pot to,im a amputy it helps my phantom pains,i smoke pot i have herniated disks,i smoke pot cause it calms my nerves,i smoke pot it makes feel relaxed,i smoke pot cause i enjoy it..."so go smoke some pot and chill" ...dude relax go smoke you seem to need it at this present time
reallyblackops, dude, he is not militant, you do not understand what kind of a emotional and physical pain he and people with similar or different health issues are going through.
Stop talking about attitude, because that is not attitude that is pain. Pain that he and people like him are experiencing everyday.
pain of the body, pain of the heart, pain of the otter frustration of fighting everyday just to get your clothes on and teeth brushed, I hear only total frustration, anger at the rediculus treatment and suffering in his voice that he endures. I am one of them, and though naturaly I'm a gentle person, pain makes me want to rip off peoples heads. especially stuupid ones.
The fact that you constantly refer to the beneficial herb as "pot" tells me you don't have a clue about its power. Why feel like a criminal when we know we are not? You feel persecuted in your own (gov't paid for hmmmm..) home? Should there be different rules for you because you think you have a justifiable medical condition? Where, exactly, are you smoking when you feel this persecution? Where do children "ridicule and laugh at you?"
He referred to it as "pot" because that's how most people view it.... being a pot head. He's making a point without being PC.
He was under house arrest (if I remember correctly) for possession that miraculously appeared hours after a letter he wrote to the editor re: MMJ was published.
"Gov't paid home" would mean he's on disability, I'd wager. As am I. Do you have a problem with that?
Why would you question where children ridicule him?
It's the time world stopped listening to government propaganda and recognised cannabis discrimination. Whether its legal or not, one thing that annoys me greatly is people with medical conditions being harassed by the state for using it medically.
It's a backwards world we live in - people should NOT be persecuted for smoking PLANT MATTER. The Government are wrong - and we are right. I'm also a medicinal user [from England] and i feel the same - WHY should WE have to risk fines and imprisonment because we smoke a plant that helps us to live a slightly more bareable life. It's physically sickening they can do this to us.
That is horriable, i don't know what you have but I feel for you, I can see that you are being pushed and unable to push back and i find that depressing. All i can say is Best of luck, i hope things get better. And i know how "k thx by" that sounds but i mean it.
im sorry fuck the government and the feds. The world is a crazy place. just like a bad trip. But hey Life is only a halluicnation. A conscious state we hardley ever awake.
You sir are very much on the ball. Its very hare for anyone to understand, the fda because its hard to swallow that they are there for profit not health. Pot, yes does help, and as long as pot is positive, it will hurt profits on all prescribed drugs, which inturn will hurt thier stocks. Peace my friend
Some may have gotten the wrong impression. I don't blame Pot for my problems, I blame the FDA and other Government agencies that refuse to acknowledge the medical benefits of cannabis. These same bodies killed over 50,000 people with Vioxx and Serzone, 2 "Safe" drugs that were approved by the FDA!
I was put on vioxx, and in two days it about killed me, it caused my skin and in every orfice on my body to bubble up and fall off, to this day I still have scars and oversensitive skin, can't even take ibprophen. Did the FDA have them arrested for attempted murder? did the gov. or anybody do anything for me then? nope the doc. didn't even give me a body scan for about 2 months later to see if I had clots, and 5 years later another doc finally told me that it was Stevens Johnson Syndrome.
I don`t think its cannabis thats the cause of his fears and depression. May be due to other medications that are being perscribed or his personalty. Cannabis should be treated as any other medication that have side effects and benefits.
ok 'layemag' you should 'listen' to what the man says you are confused about his very clear message and that is cannabis is his best bet to realeve him of his symptoms, now that he is too tolerant for his other medication.
Actually, it's the cops constantly hassling me over my medical marijuana consumption. I am currently being prosecuted for possession that magically appeared three hours after a letter to the editor I wrote concerning medicla cannabis was printed
Tonight I got high. And I liked it.

Many are in support of your right to use cannabis Mikeee.
We are with you and we have become a major force.
12 states in America now have Med policies and everyday we fight to add another state to that list.
Keep safe and healthy brother, We can end this draconian practice if we ALL approach this matter with patient persistence.
Peace to you.

I'm all for legalizing for medical use, where it really helps.
(btw., maybe other ingestion methods than smoking would be better, esp. if your health is already not the best? like vaporizing instead of burning.)
All the best luck to you man.
