Seems that consciousness can only be experienced inside a brain. and if that brain is disrupted enough you lose it. You get knocked out, you lose consciousness, you get killed you lose consciousness. However i had the thought that what if black holes are merely nodes. And they consume "mater" and convert that matter(or just energy) into the consciousness "frequency." Proof consciousness is capable ( and DOES ) exist outside of the human brain ( it's plainly obvious to me, much less for some others, I guess ) is plant consciousness. No time to go into it here. But, that is just one example.
Interesting vid. Dualism is about as tough as it gets in philosophy. We are using two schools of thought (philosophy and science) to attempt to understand the most complex thing in the known universe. However, I have to lean more towards the notion that our consciousness follows the physical realm and not the other way around. I agree with much of what you said, however, I don't know if there is a difference between matter and consciousness. Remember, energy and matter can be converted to one another. In your reference to the double slit experiment, there was actually matter going through the two slits, even though the particle didn't pass through. The electromagnetic waves are moving Electric and Magnetic fields, which also have particle behavior. This is explained by wave/particle duality.
Aside from my previous arguments, I largely agree with you (although I think it works the other way, with consciousness another aspect of physical substance), but I'm confused on your last point. If we should regard all consciousness as unified, why would it follow that we should act with kindness towards the universe to feel transcendence? Suppose one feels that unity, but is filled with loathing (for the entirety). Why not seek the destruction of all consciousness instead?

When you mention that lsd doesn't create the same experience for everyone, you seem to disregard the importance of how the structure and chemical makeup of the brain differs between individuals and over time, if these were the same, perhaps the experience would also be the same. Also, by helping 'others' you've separated them by a dualistic view.

Look hes right, everyone can tap into energies in there own way. But actually the time and place where you are decides what kind of energy you can summon. Interesting video. I didn't agree with anything but I appreciate the perspective you're taking. If you're interested, look into mirror neurons. If you imagine I have a group of cells that fire when I touch my arm, then a subset of these cells will fire when I see someone else's arm getting touched. a) This means that brains are all soft-wired into one larger, societal brain, 2) it could explain the emergence of memes, which are essentially ideas that we imitate. You might find it interesting.

Interesting vid. Dualism is about as tough as it gets in philosophy. We are using two schools of thought (philosophy and science) to attempt to understand the most complex thing in the known universe. However, I have to lean more towards the notion that our consciousness follows the physical realm and not the other way around. Phineas Gage is a perfect example of how alterations to the physical brain affect the BEHAVIOR of a human being.

And while it's easy to fall to say it's because we're studying that which is impossible to study, in all likelihood our investigation is stalled due to the very primitive nature of our technology. But,the problem with that is the massive undertaking to get something like that widespread attention and trying to cope with all the skeptics that wouldn't even try it for the sake of trying it.And if it would fail it would fail BIG TIME,we don't know how much power our consciousness has but the size of the universe is beyond our comprehension and i doubt we are the only ones behind the creation of it.But it might seem so that the universe is evolving towards singularity and the big bang again.

Hmm,yes i absolutely believe there are higher dimensions connecting the visible ones together.Either it is consciousness or some other form of energy,it is definitely there.I once had a thought that what if all the people on earth would on the same day focus their thoughts on blowing up a star,but that wouldn't work because it's light years away and we wouldn't see the explosion in our lifetimes.Perhaps if we focused on something else that wouldn't hurt us but would count as a test of faith.

We are not, or do not posess, the only consiousness that exists within our immediate universe and reality, which is in turn indirectly affected by the whole (although we may have a degree of control over our interpretation). Not all consiousness is peaceful and endearing, and as a result, survival is a necessary compromise between addressing our immediate needs and expanding consciouness, not always mutually exclusive. Over time basic resources are easier to attain we can focus more on expansion

I agree with much of what you said, however, I don't know if there is a difference between matter and consciousness. Remember, energy and matter can be converted to one another. In your reference to the double slit experiment, there was actually matter going through the two slits, even though the particle didn't pass through. The electromagnetic waves are moving Electric and Magnetic fields, which also have particle behavior. This is explained by wave/particle duality.

Aside from my previous arguments, I largely agree with you (although I think it works the other way, with consciousness another aspect of physical substance), but I'm confused on your last point. If we should regard all consciousness as unified, why would it follow that we should act with kindness towards the universe to feel transcendence? Suppose one feels that unity, but is filled with loathing (for the entirety). Why not seek the destruction of all consciousness instead?

The quantum eraser experiment doesn't offer evidence that matter may be produced by consciousness, it doesn't even deal with matter but with light. When you mention that lsd doesn't create the same experience for everyone, you seem to disregard the importance of how the structure and chemical makeup of the brain differs between individuals and over time, if these were the same, perhaps the experience would also be the same. Also, by helping 'others' you've separated them by a dualistic view.

We're on the same track. But, you CAN unify Darwinian evolution/suffering it being a neccesary illusion, pragmatic, to enable the advancement of consciousness. It is romantic and probably partly accurate. But where does the advancement of consciousness lead? Can we really transcend our senses and understand the nature of the universe? i would of never open my mind to this if it wasn't for hallucinogenics It's that out of body experience that has you wondering if life is a dream and then you start trying to define reality to disprove that. but the feeling that stood out the most is the ability to think incredibly fast and recollect passed fading memories. and when you hear other peoples experience it is mostly the same feeling of all knowing and oneness
