I'm not sure about how they make taco's here in the United States (mostly cuz I don't ever go to mexican restaurants here) but I've never heard of tacos al pastor with pineapple! Great video by the way! :D
@baylonchris are you kidding?? pineapple is the most important ingredient in tacos al pastor, and you're right, mexican restaurants in the US are not as good as the ones in Mexico, greetings!!!
@hilahcooking - Yeah I was being a dick I apologize. Since I don't have a BBQ I'd presume you could broil the meat as an alternative to grilling since it appears to be the same with the exception of the heat source coming from the top ?
@hilahcooking - I tried it in the broiler but the type of al pastor I purchased seemed to be just shitty hunks of pork with mainly onion and pineapple which hardly and meat. Honestly it was one of the most tasteless meals I have cooked in a while but the meat wasn't in larger pieces like yours. From my understanding al pastor is generally cooked on a vertical rotation like shawarma in greek and arab cultures and shredded very fine. I tried to revive mine in a skillet with no avail sadly. haha
tacos al pastor are my favorite 2. but i have to say that if u wanna taste real good tacos go to Baja California there small tacos but this all about quality iv been in sonora chihuahua etc all nother states but notingh close to B.C tacos's al pastor mmmm
ps u are hot in that sombrero
oh 1:05 did she said crap in da blender???? so funny u made my day thank you :)
Those look great, I normally cheat and go buy the pork already marinated at the mexican meat market by my house, but I will definitely try your recipe out cause grilling them looks tasty!
Hey Hilah your spanish is fine, Kcl060 is crazy. I am Mexican American and I like people to at least attempt the language... I believe that the more languages you more the smarter you get. I like the Idea of the Pineapples.
Why do people insist on making a mockery of Mexicans and Spanish and why does no one ever have a problem with it. If you don't speak Spanish, leave it out...
Excellent video - looks delicious, and your personality makes the vid very easy to watch.. But pleeease, SHARPEN your knife!! Do a youtube search for the Spyderco Sharpmaker - it's the best sharpener out there for the money. (nope, not affiliated with Spyderco, dull knives are just a pet peeve of mine) =)
me gusta, nice work on the gril but, i would put them on the skillet whit a litle bit of dice onion and oil,and whenever you like the recipe of the salsa I can gave to you.
Those looked yummy! But don't ya have to be careful around chili steam? My stepmom (full blooded Peruvian) was working with them one day and I got a whiff of chili steam and almost choked from the spices! yikes ^_^
hilah, i love all your videos. you were my fave on project rant(ketchup-"you sketchy bitch!!!"). and you are so laid back with it-"omg i almost cut mah fangah" haha.! you should replace weak rachel ray.
@mooseythejuiceman Dammit, man. We don't have "southern" accents in Texas. They're "TEXAS" accents. Remember: We ain't part of the south - we're Texas.
Looks awesome Hilah, bet they pack a punch with them chilly,s..lol ill send along my recipe for Pasta Sal Minella...lmfao!!!!!!! Sal Minella....get it....OH I love me
Que' Bueno Hilah! Muy Bien. Going to give this one a try for sure. This would be good when you don't want to make that massive pork shoulder of carnitas! Thanks for sharing. Noreen
Me encatana los tacos al pastor, bueno trabajo Hilah. Nothing beats grilled food and man that pork tenderloin looked great with your marinate, espeically with the grilled pineapples you added. Liked how you had your grill nice and hot ready to sear the outside of the tenderloin and leave the inside nice and tender. Also nice technique on rotating to the cooler parts of the grill. I give the food, table cloth and outfit a 10 out of 10...especially the outfit you were looking good.
Oh, my gosh, those chilis are huge, I have never seen any like those. Great Tacos, Hila, it is a good idea for me to try a different recipe, like yours.
