  • for those who arguing about ww2: think that: every bomber shutted down by a mighty me262 means tons of bombs that don't fall on innocent civil folks.

the bomber command (RAF) big boss was nicknamed "the butcher"....enough said

i'm italian, and german are still the best in term of technology.....see the cars.

military weapon are very expensive and USA rule because of money and power, but german are the best.

and the luftwaffe was the more loyal and royal corp of the intere ww2

  • I highly recommend Norman Davies' "No Simple Victory".

  • must these englishman live that I might die

  • they hung there dependent from the sky

    like some heavy metal fruit.

  • It was dark over Westphalia

    In April of forty-five...

  • Adolf H. (not you Adolf, but you know who) wanted the Me262 to be a bomber not a fighter. Just another manifestation of the H-man's complete obliviousness to tactics, a complement to his lack of strategic sense. He should've invaded North Africa, Egypt, then on to Palestine and Syria... Instead he invaded Russia, making the same mistake as Napoleon,

  • Bombers at 12 a clock high...Whoooooogh

  • Junkers Jomo 004

  • Be easy in comments, even History Channel can't get 4 full minutes of Me 262 videos... :-)

  • Best band ever...great job of putting sight and sound together too!

  • One of BOC' 's finest,,,

  • Germany was lucky they did not get the ME262 into full operation. If Germany had delayed the war for a few months, US Army General Curtis LeMay would have been selecting several German cities for Atomic Bomb attack. I wounder what German city would have been choosen for destruction? Lipzig?

  • there's something wrong with the audio, like a WAWAWAWAWA thing on the background...

  • 1. The Jimi Hendrix Experience. 2. Iron Maiden 3. Led Zeppelin 4. Black Sabbath 5. Pink Floyd 6. Blue Oyster 7. Metallica 8.Thin Lizzy 9.Red Hot Chili 10.Willie Nelson... thats right, I said it...
  • Great vid!

  • Maybe it was a Hurrican Hawker, not a Spitfire, which looks like a P42, etc....

BOC ...IS Blue Oyster Cult!! Questions, Comments, Concerns? Didn't think so...

  • lolz..

if nazis have that "puppies" at early 40s

    we all speak german now..

  • good video mate

  • Saw BOC 5/27/10, and they still sounded great, but are pretty much the 2 Oyster Cult now. Great video.

  • Beautiful video!

  • I would have loved to see the war drag on just long enough to see a fight between a 162/163/262 and a US P-80 that was just around the corner. That would have been truly epic.

  • The Me-262 is indeed a beauty, although I always thought the He-162 was the best looking plane of the period.

  • Great collection of footage. Fantastic song of course. Love the shot of Adolf Galland—a real knight of the air—so rico suave. Also the "Junkers Jumo 004" and "R4M" rocket arrays. SEXIEST PLANE EVER!!

  • I remember buying my first BOC album just because I liked the Me 262 art!!

  • Nothing wrong with evoking images of the Reich- 'PC' means 'p***y crap'...

  • SOFT WHITE UNDERBELLY KICKS ASS!!saw them at slims in SF A Few yrs. ago. still rockin

  • May Hilter and gang rest in ... HELL!

  • Nice editing of the video for this great BOC tune!

  • Great song, great album.

BOC was one of those bands with Jewish members who like to flirt with German/Nazi-like imagery and symbols (The Dictators and the Ramones are two others). For shock appeal, or a joke?

  • Interesting theory, not sure I buy it, but I think KISS would be the best example based on the logo alone......Handsome Dick Manitoba ? c'mon lol

  • I am probably one of the very few here who has actually STOOD on the wing of an ME-262...in Everett, WA. where a group called the Stormbirds are restoring a few of them. The one I stood on was a two seat training model.

Also...I've seen BOC seven times, between 1975 and 2008...

  • Right on. Great video to an awesome song! You should send it to the Cult somehow. Buck, Eric, and Allen would sure dig it!

  • Me-262 prince of turbojet, Junker's jommo 004----great job AG---love it

  • good job adolf. good song from a good group. saw them in 1976.

  • Thank you

  • fuck that was so cool I gota jack!!!

  • Leave the history in school...we can all enjoy the great music - hell, the whole album is great.

  • Im american of german and irish descent. The Me 262 if earlier introduced could have changed history.Whoever put this video together....great job...actungh

  • The RAF were flying the Glouster Meteor jet contemporaneously with the Luftwaffe's Me 262. By the way, it's spelt "Achtung".

  • Unfortunately the Meteor was by far outclassed by the ME262!

  • Must this Englishman live that I might die? Must he live that I might die?

  • Wow. An Irishman telling me this. First around then and even now Im not living in a balkan state, second, as far as I know Ireland was a base of operations for the Nazi ops. I mean come on. Third, what kind of an argument is "your grandfathers were stupid". Its like me saying. You know what? During the grate famine your granparents were not very strong, or clever to find something to eat.

  • I think the WWII was debated enough on how the good boys defeated, the uber wicked axis. For one all the allies made for me is bomb and take away again my country forcing me to live in another country-in-my own country (guess the nationality).

And I can get along. leave it.

So why not talk here about other jet planes also(some experimental)? Im convinced if the war would have been longer they would come into play. (Oh and about the Nuke...: Dresda was bombed equal to a nuke being dropped)

  • Had the Balkan states not rallied around Nazi Germany we might not have had to consort with the soviets.

Blame your grandparents for not being moral, clever or strong.

  • I am a German i agree that if Hitler wasnt a frikin idiot the Me-262 would have came to the front alot quicker. But the americans probaly would still win WWII

  • wat is that cartoon?

  • heil hitler

  • Stop arguing. Every country's done something it's not proud of.

  • and so it goes

  • excellent but could use without the anime graphics nice use of footage

  • Good vid,Adolf!

  • thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh man! I had totally forgotten how fucking good this song is - a true classic. Neat film as well.

  • for sure a fav! love this song! ME262!!!!!!!!!!

  • P.S. I apologise for the therapy comment - sorry.

  • I'm very relieved to hear that. I will certainly drink a toast to no more wars.

By the way, you really should check out the Horten brothers (Reinar and Walther). The Ho-229 was flown in early '45 I think and was the world's first stealth fighter. Northrop went to see the remains of one captured by the Americans before creating the B2 bomber. The simiiarities are there for all to see and we are talking about a plane 40 years ahead of its time - quite amazing!!!

    Best wishes, D

  • I merely stated that to celebrate your advanced technology without reference to its (immoral) purpose is NOT the whole story.

That you then chose to assume I am American and launch into a tirade suggests you ought to think about this attitude (hatred) that is inside you.

Try talking to your older and wiser teachers, for example - otherwise I would suggest therapy...

    Widersehen.

  • Wrong. I am English. I don't like the USA much either - the people are ok but their politicians are dysfunctional (to quote the editor of Newsweek). Prior to Iraq, we could be proud of our nation's recent history. Now I would agree that Blair and his cabal (along with the Bush gang) are war criminals and should be brought to trial. The same as your grandfather's political masters were.

  • P-51 pilots soon learned to wait over the airfields. The Me 262 was a sitting duck on take off and landing.

The Horten 229 was a much more intereesting plane anyway.

  • Agreed you had the best technology but no humanity or morality.

  • Luckily Hitler had bad judgment, if they had development fast tracked they could've been operational in '43. Likewise the Allied jet programs would have accelerated (The British and their Gloster Meteor, and the Americans with the YP-59 and the XP-80)

Even with the ME-262, the Germans would've faced allied jets soon enough somewhat dulling their technological edge.

  • Yes but unlike the p-51, Allied jets would not be able to act as long range escorts for Allied Bombers, which could have helped slow the Allied air campaign and compensate for the losses in experienced pilots.

  • What anime did you get the Battle of Britain scenes from?

  • lol, it'not Battle of Britain, it's a battle in the Pacific Ocean in 1945

  • OH ok, it looked like I saw some He 111s (2:08) and I swear at 1:46 that is an Me 109 and a Spitfire in a dogfight and at 3:03 the there is a German pilot with his knights cross and a tail wing with a swastika, so regardless of where it is what is the anime?

  • Ah, this scenes is from the first part of the same anime ("The Cockpit" dy Leiji Matsumoto). It's the story of a german pilot in 1945.

  • Ah many thanks

  • @mushmouth4life Spot on...apart from the 2:08 is a Mitsubishi G4M. Very similar...

  • @MrMoorkey

AH! yes, when I paused it, definitely a Betty.

  • Unfortunately Hitler was a fucktard who thought the Me262 needed to be a fighter bomber and not the most tits interceptor of WWII, thus delaying deployment of the 262 until Summer 1944.

  • The M.E. 262 was first put into service in May of 1944! They were used sparingly because of a shortage of jet fuel, a shortage of qualified pilots and a lack of airfields(the jet engines required asphalt runways)!Hitler was using them near the end of the war just a day late and a dollar short!

  • отстой

  • Veddy nice "ve need a plane for bombing, straffing, assult und battery, ground support and reconnosence not just a fair weather fighter.

  • Contrary to popular belief we were not doing so well in WWII! If not for solving the enigma machine an appearence of the ME262 even a year earlier would have given the Germans air superiority and the Japanese(But for the enigma affair) had naval superiority! If they had the ME262 in 1939 the war would have been over before it really got started and we would all be speaking German now!

  • If the Germans had built this amazing machine just a little bit sooner we would have lost the war!

  • It was the first modern jet fighter of the world.

  • we might of but USA would probaly drop a nuke on us...

  • Great vid!

What's the name of this cartoon?

  • "The Cockpit" by Leiji Matsumoto
