Raiders are leaving oakland after this season, the 16yr stadium lease expires. Al wants to go back to LA but if they don't offer him a stadium he'll move somewhere else. He's definately not staying in oakland because the city never fulfilled their contractual obligations and constantly files suits against the Raiders

i do remember those good old days, but i sure believe the raiders are capable of being ten times more competitve as long as Jabust isnt on the field and Al Davis keeps cable for a while longer then their team chemistry will improve.

1st. Russel has absolutely no qb skill sets to play NFL ball. He was a stupid choice. Even Vince has better skills sets for qb than him. 2. We know the Raiders, they never do anything half-way, either they are the best or the worst, rarely rarely are they middle of the pack. Remember after '84? In time they will return. A coach that knows how to coach and is allowed to. Understanding what it means to be a Raider is paramount, they are not like any other team. History and lore is too deep.

those were back in the days jon gruden just gaveup on the raiders and the play was cheated with the patriots and if that play was reversed the raiders would have had 5 SB Champs once with the Carolina and the other with TB

No. I don't think the Raiders will even make it close to the playoffs this time. Even if they have Jeff Garcia, they still won't make it very far. Look at the other good quarterbacks that they had. Those quarterbacks didn't lead the team anywhere close to the playoffs.

We need a strong roster like we had back in 2001/2002.

I loved Gannon, he was my favorite QB all time. Russell looks promising and Tom Cable got Oakland to play well down the stretch. I think Cable should be head coach in 09. All the players want him back.
