  • The reason why he isnt major popular is he chooses to play a form of music that is dying...with all the pop and bubblegum crap and how all the new singers buy up all the airtime on radio stations its a closed market. Robert is at the top of the food chain as far as blues and r&b singers and guitar players....make no mistake in the certain circles he is right up there with BB King and all the greats and has toured and or played with all the greats!

  • Robert, Great Player & singer.....

  • No offense to the old greats like Clapton and Johnny Winter, but I definitely prefer hearing new material like this to hearing songs that were great forty to eighty years ago.

  • this kind of reminds me of "Poor Tom" by Led Zeppelin. not just the title, but the lyrics too. it's about a worker who murders his cheating wife.

  • I've had a youtube account for 3 years.. but it wasn't until I heard this song that I realized you couldn't like something twice.

  • absolutly superb

  • Robert Cray is a dying breed. A man that can have so much soul in his singing and playing, no one can top him.

  • Does crossroads come around ever 3 years? I am moving to Chicago next month and would love to know the next year it comes around.

  • @101melonhead It's every three years but i dont think they do it in Chicago every time. idk.

  • superb tune, EXCELLENT fav!!! can't belive 1 dislike w.t.f

  • Why hasn't he had commercial success at least on the scale of Bonamassa ? His voice and writing skills are top notch, and he's great on guitar as well. I don't get the music biz, .. no I get it, but it sucks.

  • Amazing voice.

    Amazing band.

    Amazing guitarist.

    Amazing song.

Nothing more to say I guess.

btw. If u like this song you'll probably like "Times makes two" (Robert Cray) aswell. He perfomed the song really well at crossroads 2004 .

  • so amazing!

  • Deserves more views.

  • all I have to say is otis day and the knights. (animal house) robert is the lead. awesome

  • I'm sure this is about '07

    What a voice!!!!! MAAAAAN!!!!!

  • @ason81 Yes it is :)

  • @ason81 yeh mate 07

  • he used to play with hendrix and with reason

  • @kadburyk hendrix is overrated and he sucks compared to robert cray

  • @mw2superbigmac23 um, well, that's not true, but both are incredible.

  • @mw2superbigmac23 idk bout all that. There probably wouldnt be a Cray with no Hendrix man..

  • @TimCampbellMusic you meant without Albert collins no cray just don't random namedrop great players and link them with bullshit to this artist

  • @Reezer83 And what makes you some sort of music professor dick head? Fuck you.

  • @TimCampbellMusic no, a music producer

  • I just love him...

  • Amazing!

  • I love this !!!! Really really coooool

  • I saw the crossroads DVD ... this was one song that totally blew me away... and the dvd itself is allready filled with masterpieces.... I didn't knew robert cray before... but he sure is one artist who really touched me.. i'm glad to met him tis way

  • Words can't begin to describe how underrated Robert Cray is. He's got it all... great song writing, an amazing voice, and he's a hell of a guitar player. I honestly feel bad for those who dont know about Robert and his music.

  • @DenTwanne Same reaction I had. If I did not see the 2007 crossroads DVD I would not have known Robert Cray. This song is probably in the top 5 of that crossroads.

    Robert should be more famous!

  • Robert Cray is amazing.

  • They are not showing his face a whole lot during his solo, he normally "talks" (moves his mouth) while he is in the middle of a solo. He played Time Makes Two at the last Crossroads Festival and at each solo he would step back from the microphone and it would look like he was talking out each note. This is a great song and Robert Cray is one of the best and most under appreciated bluesmen around. Great Song and Video!!!

  • amazing!

  • Amazing amazing. Blew my mind the first time I saw it. I love his guitar!!! Fell in love with that guitar

  • Je veux que Robert Cray soit plus connu en France

  • Simply stated: A GORGEOUS MOMENT IN LIVE MUSIC!!

  • Merveilleux Robert Cray, j'aime, merci.

  • Anyone else think Robert cray reminds you of mace windu?

  • @dairydave96: He does look like Samuel L. Jackson.

  • One of the best bluesman I've ever seen 5*

  • why doesn't rock band have any cool solos like this

  • this is genius, and if you can't see it brother, man, i feel sorry for you.

  • UQE BUENO!!!!!

    XDDDDDD OMG

  • I'm gonna see Cray live near Florence in July. I keep praying that nothing goes wrong... he is one of the greatest bluesmen...ever.

  • I'm hard pressed to think of a vocalist I like more - I have adored his voice forever. And I love his bass player too - very tasteful.

  • best version!

  • @Joehand87 I just wish you could have been there and seen it live. It sent shivers down the old spine when this kicked off.

    The crowd was truly mesmerized.

Sell things, beg, borrow and steal to get to this years Crossroads as it will be the last!

  • Always loved this mans voice and his playing is so tasteful as is his band. Love the drummer and bass players style...they lay it down tight and right and very colorful but they dont get in the way. Pro musicians all~~~

  • What's up with the delay?

  • I was asleep in front of the TV and this song and his voice woke me right up. Absolutely beautiful!

  • robert cray is the man of soul these days he breaths the head figure

  • love the delay , he kidda got lost there for a min. he is great though saw he open for clapton and bought his cd the next day , he was at the doheny blues festival couple years ago in dana point . apparently he makes his cd's in his garage.

  • why isnt robert cray more popular? his voice is amazing and his guitar playing is incredible as well.

  • @legendaryedge: Maybe bad marketing. LOL! Really though.

  • @legendaryedge

Because he is a Bluesman, The blues just doesn't get airtime anymore.

  • @legendaryedge man thats how it is the greater u r the more people dont wanna face it

  • A great performer.

  • So powerful. Amazing.

  • what a song, love it !

  • what a voice
