  • i actually appreciate and understand what u were attempting to do here, but i think its important to note.. you may be way more qualified to handle this type of physics experiment than mylow, and may have a better understanding of HOW to fake this type of stuff. YET AND STILL, his hoaxes are way more believable than yours.. even if you hid the line properly, you have to work on your timing and get your wheel rotation alot better... this was nowhere near as believable as mylows vids.

  • @Magneticitist

I think you may be mistaking this SATIRE for a "hoax". What Mylow did was more than a mere hoax, it was a fraud; you may recall that he accepted "donations" of materials and that PESN was actually advertising for sale plans for a "working" Mylow motor. But there was no such thing. That's fraud, my friend, in my opinion of course.

This video is a satire, produced in order to WIN the prize offered by Sterling Allan of PESN for the first successful replication of Mylow's motor.

  • Pretty good, be careful for glint off the string, it shows pretty clearly at 0:36

  • Yup. I took no special precautions other than trying to keep the plywood as a backdrop to the line during the camera movements.

If I had actually set up lights, roughened the line with fine sandpaper, used a different background, played a bit with the Gimp...well, it's not hard to hide things in plain sight, as it were.

  • I don´t get it. you wanna show up how easy it is to fake such thing?

    Interesting try.... so far....

  • That's right--you don't get it. IF you are really interested, I suggest you start at the beginning, where MyLOW claimed to have replicated Howard Johnson's magnetic motor, and Sterling Allan of PESWiki was selling plans for Mylow's motor, and offering a PRIZE for the first successful exact replication of Mylow's motor.

Which this is. Therefore I claimed the prize -- but of course Sterling Allan and PESWiki weaseled. Turns out they wanted an actual PMM, not a Mylow motor hoax fraud replication.

  • Well done TinselKoala, the funniest thing about the comments is that they actually think you replicated the motor loooool. They can't seem to understand that you've debunked them. If Mylow really did invent something new and claims he wants to help mankind.... build 10 of em and give it away to universities and non-profit groups (Dean Kamen DEKA Research comes to mind). But I guess humans are not ready for this kind of technology? looooool... BS blah BS blah...

  • Stop touching it once you get it running! What is it with you guys who keep touching things after you get set it into motion. Guess it's all part of the snake oil.

  • I am demonstrating that this wheel performs exactly like Mylow's. Touching the wheel is part of the replication of what Mylow showed.

What is it with you guys that make comments before you understand the issue under discussion? Maybe you need to decrease your snakeoil dosage.

  • Now power something with it please.

    even a tiny led.

  • You mean Led Zeppelin of course.

I'll make the next soundtrack be

    Black Mountain Side.

    How's that?

Don't you think I could position the Joule Thief generator LED over the disk and have it light, like I did in that other video of mine? Seems like I could. What would prevent it?

So you can just imagine that I did the same thing here, and you'll be right.

  • Wow, a koala with an American accent - that says it all. As we say in AU, "what a wanker"!

  • That's One.

Would you like to discuss the issue, or are you just here to flame?

  • Sure TK, let's discuss. I'll start.

Q1: Why did you post this video?

  • A1: Because somebody asked me to. And I want the prize that Sterling offered for the first successful Mylow replication. Since I've done it exactly, I want the prize.

    Next question?

  • You can take that up with Sterling, but you have not replicated it exactly. You did not follow Mylow's instructions. You only have one stator magnet, Mylow has two. Mylow also has his stator magnets mounted on an aluminium bar that spans the width of the rotor.

Q2: Will you be replicating Mylow's motor EXACTLY before claiming snake oil?

  • Oh, here it is.

A2: Why should I? And which version, of the ELEVEN different configs of magnets that he used, all of which "ran"?

  • Many of which, BTW, also only used one stator.

  • Why do you answer with 2 questions? I take it from your responses that you will not be replicating this as per the instrcutions, therefore how can you make a claim that it is snake oil?

  • Why do you answer with 2 questions?

Don't you see that Mylow's instructions were all lies? I have done extensive research with my testbed, instrumented starts and stops with all kinds of magnets (I did not start this yesterday, you know) and EVERY configuration that I, or ANYONE has tested, results in a loss. I have also posted rundown graphs illustrating my best arrangement, and NO ONE has beaten it yet.

So why should I bother with Mylow? He's a fake and a fraud and a liar.

  • You haven't seen John Bedini's video where he clearly shows that the rotor magnets get kicked away by the stator magnets. He followed the instructions and got it to work. How can you say those things about Mylow when you have not scientifically proved or dis-proved what he has done?

  • Of course I have seen that video. And I challenged them to show comparative rundown times, with and without the stator.

But for some reason they won't show this simple control experiment. I wonder why.

Regardless, if you think their motor is in any sense "running" then you are in the wrong place, because I won't be able to help you at all.

  • I have, however, rigourously proven that the mere presence of a stator magnet in the Mylow wheel design, wherever you've got the rotor magnets positioned, causes enough drag to produce as much as a 40 percent DECREASE in rundown time. The stators hurt, in EVERY configuration that I have tested and I have tested many. And not by using Mr. Hand, either. If you have watched my vids you will see how Bedini should be doing it. And he knows it perfectly well, too. Ask yourself why he doesn't do it.

  • Oh, and I see you haven't watched my other videos dealing with this issue. I'll wait while you watch them. You tell me if my main testbed is sufficiently enough like Mylow's to qualify. Also the very last vid that I posted shows the more Mylow-ish rig running at speed.

  • No, I am discussing this video. I have no intention of watching your other videos. Stop trying to divert away from the subject.

  • I have posted at least 14 videos dealing with the development of my Mylow test bed, the instruments I use, the test methodology and so forth. I actually have one of the most accurate Mylow replications of all of them. But since you refuse to watch my other videos, you will just have to guess what's in them. But I can tell--you know it all already. So clearly it would just be a waste of your time, just like I am wasting mine responding to your willful ignorance.

  • Actually I just counted them--I have posted 22 videos dealing with various aspects of the Mylow hoax motor. Some of them are actually interesting. To me, anyway.

  • OK, fair comment. I will watch all of your videos and let you know what I think.

  • It'll take you a while. I'll go have dinner, but I'll be looking for your comments when you've done (or had enough!)

Keep an open mind and try to enjoy yourself. It's really not worth getting all uptight about.

    I keep telling myself that....

  • OK, you're on. But you'll have to wait until I finish my day job today. I have the next few days off, so I'll get back to you in a day or so. Enjoy your dinner. My mind is always open.

  • You know, I just realised that you are talking like someone who has missed the fact that Mylow has been outed, his fishing lines are visible in many of his videos, even the motor and battery can be seen in one of them.

That is why I claim that this video is an exact replication in ALL RESPECTS THAT MATTER of the Mylow Magnet Motor.

So why in the world should I spend time and money gluing a bunch of magnets to a disk, just to make a FRAUD, when the magnets are irrelevant?

  • First, let me ask you: Why did you watch this video?

  • Because someone sent me a link to it and I was intrigued.

  • OK fair enough.

    Next question?

  • LMAO...."got to find the right spot" lolololo brilliant.

  • From what I'm reading on other sites, it seems you were right all along. Good work.

  • TK:

Are you selling plans for this? Ha ha. 5 stars.

    Bill

  • its all in the stator! lol! i can see your trick! good one! :)
