i don't understand why it is being used to roller a piece of pre-rolled clay..... I worry its too flimsy to handle a big lump without pre rolling it and thus defeating the object - anyone used one of these?

@a705fay I'm not quite sure what you are asking, but you always start with a slab when using a roller, not a "lump".
