If you are a Jew, perhaps what you have written is a good enough reason for Helen Thomas to harbour a dislike of Jews, in general. Of course generalizations are odious, but trends cannot be ignored, indefinitely. It is much easier to look at causation; would these events have taken place if X had not invaded Y (or Z)? @IslamEthics really? interesting. moses' laws predates islam by about 5 thousand years and HIS law regarding lying is so full of loopholes, god must've had dershowitz advising him when he wrote it: "thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." he was very specific about "thou shalt not kill" & "thou shalt not steal", but where lying is concerned "thou not...bla bla bla... against whomever your rabbi defines as your 'neighbor'." EVERYBODY knows it's a mitzvah to lie to gentiles.

I subscribe to the Newsbusters RSS feed and I read what they (Noel Sheppard) had to say and then I watched the video. I am not a Thomas fan but the Noel Sheppard commentary was a total miss-characterization of her speech. She didn't say "anti-semitic" things.
Is Newsbusters another neocon war mongering outfit?
And BTW, I'm not thrilled with Islamo-fascism either, but if I'm going to subscribe to any org. I expect a modicum of accuracy, not another Media Matters type propaganda outfit.

I have not appreciated Helen Thomas's question at press conferences however on the issue of Zionism and putatively "American" foreign policy she could not be more correct, in fact, her tone is respectful even though she knows the bloody slaughters that have ensued by NOT speaking up against the Israeli Lobby... .
Afghanistan and Iraq without the pressure from this lobby are unthinkable.
It is a measure of how powerful that Lobby is that we all measure each and every word to our SHAME!
