  • Thanks for posting. My late father was stationed at Udorn in 1966-1967. He took lots of still photos when he was there; the video brings it all to life, especially the "klong." :-)

  • Glad you enjoyed the scenes, we know your father enjoyed them with us.

  • My father was stationed there I wish he was still around to see these old videos.

  • Several of you have made comments in the past month about the video. Sorry I was not able to get back with you in a timely way. Thanks for the comments. If you are as I am we never get tired of seeing these old scenes.

  • Thank you - I was there in 71-72 in the communications squadron. I was a Chinese linguist.

  • I was there from Dec 70 to Dec 71 ... at the time I didn't realize how good I had it and went back to the world. Luckily I was able to come back in Jun 72 and went to NKP. Thanks for the memories!

  • I did not see any footage of the the RAAF with the Canberra Bombers were they based with you guys by any chance my father was in the RAAF he was based in butterworth air force base Malasia . Great footage of time gone by but not forgotten and nice guitar playing too

  • Fogot to mention... there is a reunion of Udorn Officer's Club employees (the girls who worked in the bar and restaurant) this month (Sep 2010) in Las Vegas. Most of them married USAF officers (imagine that!) and live in the USA today. My wife is one of them. Email me via you tube thing if your wife qualifies!

  • This is very nice. I remember many of these scenes. I was at Udorn RTAFB, Sep 71 thru March '73. I flew the F-4D and the RF-4C there, as a young Captain. My 'home movies' are more of the flight line and airplanes. If you look at Google Earth aerial photos of the base today, you'll find most of it GONE! All the old wodd bldgs are now returned to jungle, only the BX and metal BOQ remain. New airline terminal on far west end.

  • Thanks for the great video (and great music). I was

stationed at Udorn from May 1969 to May 1970.

    (432nd CES)

  • Thanks for the video, I was there from Nov '71 until Jul '72 and a lot of this was familiar, but don't remember the shooting range or the B-52s. I worked in the weapons preload section
