@customcartoons Really, seems there trying to capitalize on the Cult status the original Manos got when it appeared on MST3K, since before that the film was unknown/long forgotten flop. Funny thing is this episode was to feature a diffrent film called Child Brides but it was so bad and offensive that the gang scrapped the plans to riff it and went with Manos instead.

See the guy at 5:36? Harold Warren? Well, he's the guy SOLELY responsible for Manos: The Hands of Fate. Writer/Director/Producer/Star.

Things are made delicously more ironic considering that that his professional job was that of a fertilizer salesman and that he only made this film on a bet to show how "easy" it was to make movies. You can fill in your own "steaming pile of" jokes.

I can't imagine watching this movie with the MST3K commentary. There are times it's brutal enough with them (nothing against them, but you can only make so much chicken salad from chicken crap).
