Iam also from bangalore. You aqua looks cool..and your maintenance tip looks interesting. I do only 40% water change.. but you mentioned..

Also can you kindly tell where would you get cardinal tetra or neon-tetras ? I looked for several places but could not find them. And how much is the price as well.

looks like more work to maintain, especially for that much water change. You might get by with less frequent.  Plants consume nitrates, right?

Walstad method doesn't requires frequent water changes.. I'm doing that same method and change water only every 4 to 6 months. But I guess it probably never hurt to change water besides the effort.
