  • amazing!!!

  • i love these pins!! ahhhhh

  • Ohh you're a newscaster. That's why your voice and delivery is obnoxious.

  • I just bought a pack of spin pins to try and I am so impressed. I have the longest thickest hair and it is so difficult to keep my hair in a bun without it feeling like it's going to fall out right away all of the time. As soon as I put the spin pin in my hair was in such a cute Little bin and felt tight and comfortable and stayed in, they were so easy to pit in I just live them ! ! !

  • OMG... i love these pins. My hair is way down my back just above my butt in layers and these hold. I use (4)..

  • You should be a news caster!

  • @IrisLovesJohnny04 She is lol

  • @IrisLovesJohnny04 She is...

  • @kelaltieri she is a news anchor!

  • @xPoetryFreakx she is!!!

  • You should definitely be a newscaster.

  • You should be some sort of news caster or journalist because, your speaking voice and delivery is perfect and you're really pretty!

Thanks for the tutorial/review! I was really skeptical about trying these because I have hair that is past my shoulders and it's THICK (not texture-wise -it's very fine but, I have ALOT of it) and it's super curly. But, after watching this, I can't wait to try these.

  • I bought a set of these a couple of days ago. I have really thick hair, (so thick that if I put it in a bun using bobby pins, it pushes the pins out) and they would not hold my hair up, even with a ponytail elastic.

I'm going to return them and get a clip instead. I used to put my hair up in a bun holding it with a regular clip when I worked in a factory, and it stayed all day.

  • i have really thick, curly hair and they worked just fine for me :)

  • Just discovered these! What a great invention! Using elastic bands and bobby pins are way too much of a hassle and my hair ends up getting messy someway! Will be ordering some soon!

  • i even put a hair tie, and maybe because i have thick hair, it doesnt work for me...

  • thanks for letting me think ahead.

  • All that for what I already knew. You don't need a tutorial to figure them out, it's pretty straight-forward. sheesh.

  • just go to ebay and buy them!!! i got 12 of the same product different company

    12 for 3 dollars !!!

  • can you do a review of the goody mini spin pin?

  • it only works on athin ahir not on a thick hair.

  • nvm tht was a stupid question sorry :)

  • were u paid to do this im just asking not trying to b rude but im just asking........... do they really work?????

  • My hair is pretty long and I'm finding it difficult to get all of it up and secure without pieces falling out. I can definitely tell that this product works, because the parts that hold seem stable. Any tips?

  • Yes, the spin pins are great. It's too bad that the spin pins don't come in a smaller gauge as my hair is like baby hair and these pins weigh my hair down. A smaller gauge would be awesome!! Thanks Ladybug(Nova Scotia)

  • @WAXBOY5004 they do mini spin pins now, for short and fine hair :)

  • @laurenmariemc Take it from me, the "regular ones" are for fine to medium hair like yours, not for actual thick hair. I have super thick hair, and the Goody Pins were a waste of money for me.

  • @WAXBOY5004

    they make mini spin pins

  • You look like Ashley Judd!

  • This was very useful, thank you. I just bought these after seeing a good written review, but didn't find the package instructions very clear. This was great!

  • Hello, this message is from my mom; thank you very much for the demonstration it helped a lot! Now this is from me, you are Gorgeous!! saying that with all the respect!

  • I bought them today at target because i saw them on tv haha. You just have to keep your eyes open in the beauty section :) These are one of those type of inventions that makes everyone say, "why didn't someone think of this earlier?"

  • These are impossible to find in the UK. I ended up getting them from eBay.

  • @tellyap there sold in asda

  • thank you! I was considering this product and you have convinced me. :)

  • you should really consider television or radio.. haha

  • You have an awesome television voice...you should do the news lol

  • @kristola88 She is doing the news.. LOL

  • @kristola88 she does!

  • @kristola88 She is a newscaster, haha

  • Thanks, i'm defo gonnabuy this now!

  • talk abit too much

  • Thank you so much for making this review and tutorial. :)

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you, very helpful :)

  • Thank you for posting this! And thanks to Goody for re-directing me. Will have to go out and invest in a pair...

  • i got this product too few days ago

and i think it was the best ten dollars that i have ever spent!

it was an investment that was worth every penny really i have very long hair with not much of layers so i got two sets in total

i am never going back to hair ties again

cuz my biggest concern with hair ties was that whenever i wore pony tail, it always pulled my forehead skin, creating uncomfortable tight tension and premature wrinkles. with this product i alwys have volumous knot !

  • why is everyone moaning about her talking? the title of the video clearly says REVIEW and tutorial. people should learn how to read!

  • And it doesn't pull your hair when you twist it in??

  • god shut up an get on with it !!!

  • i just bought these pins and i love them :) they come in smaller three pack which work for different styles

  • Good tutorial but I had to switch off after a while, the talking was too much.

  • SHUT UP! Jeez, she talks more than she's actually doing. It takes her well past 2 mins. b4 she starts to show how to use the pins.

  • @jkim4919 Then don't watch this review! There are plenty of others reviewing the same product.

  • @jkim4919 baahahahahahhahaha

  • @jkim4919

You didnt read that the title said REVIEW in it......so you wasted your own time. Even so, why do you feel it necessary to be rude?

  • thanks so much! great review. =)

  • I wish i had your hair :(

  • If it takes you 20 bobby pins to do this little twist knot, then you obviously do not know what you are doing. Also... your hair is not very long or thick. For those of us with knee length hair that is majorly thick.... spin pins will not work. But it does not take 20 pins either.

Not sure if she is supposed to be doing this for Goody or not, but she needs to learn less is more when it comes to words. Too much verbage.

  • @wlb1952 Actually if you watch the actual spin pin commercial it does in fact say that this does the work of 20 bobby pins.

  • love them! cant wait to try these!

  • @TarantulaCandy butterface? if this girl is a butterface, then damn, i'd eat her.

girl, you are gorgeous! you have perfect skin.. so jealous! and your directions made it look so easy, but i feel like my hair is too fine and "slippery" for the spin pins... my hair just slides right out of it :(

  • @TarantulaCandy OMG! I soooo AGREE with you on this one! She blabbed TOO MUCH and her voice is annoying! Damn, just show us the pins! Sheesh!

  • I purchased these recently, and I'm thrilled with the results! I have really long, curly dark brown hair, and I just need 2 spin pins to secure all of my hair. Great tutorial, Emily! I always enjoy your videos. :)

  • That was really helpful. I have watched a couple other tutorials/reviews for this and yours was the best! I have long, thick hair and was skeptical of this product, but your video was awesome! I have to get some now. :]

  • Thank you! I just bought these and now I know what to do with them! I am really bad with hair. I LOVE your videos, Emily! Keep them coming! XOXO

  • Seriously is it possible for some people to comment on a video and NOT hate on it? It's like all some of you do is trash on other people and their videos. It's just a how-to upload. People don't have to put down every little thing that's uploaded on youtube. She's just trying to be nice by telling us about this product and telling us how to use it. She didn't have to take up a lot of her time to make this video, but she did. So thank you @emilynoel83 for making this video! It's much appreciated.

  • @GingerNinjaFiddler Not everything here was a negative comment, however, the things that people are bringing up are valid reasons that I would not watch another tutorial from the same person. When 2 minutes of the video give all of the information in the other 4 minutes, why would I want to watch a 6 minute tutorial?

  • Watching from 2:00 to 4:00 will get you all the information you need in this video.

  • I usually keep mine in a clip, but these sound more comfortable. Thanks for the review.

  • she sounds like a news anchor

  • @dianayee she is!

  • @dianayee I'm pretty sure she is!

  • Your hand covered the tutorial... it was hard to see.the information you shared was a bit repetitive also.

  • @Angella0340 Um, I could see it. And it wasn't repetitive.

  • thank you, i bought these after you recommended them and they are actually surprisingly awesome, you're really pretty by the way!

  • Thanks il b buying these next!!

  • Awesome review!

  • I have bought these pins, my hair is quite thinck. I am not sure if it is good for thick hair. Also, I think your hair has to be long enough to get in that twisting motion before putting the pins in? Is this true Emily?

  • @tara94100 My hair is very thick as well, so I bought I second set of spin pins and I'll use 3 or 4 of them when I put my hair up.

  • These do indeed work, but I got the exact same thing from China - 10 in fact, for $2 less than she paid FOR 2! You guys should seriously consider using ebay more often, b/c stuff like this, you could get tons of em 4 SOO cheap compared 2 what ppl in US want like $5 for.

    #imjustsayin!

  • I have straight, medium length (past shoulder), layered hair like yours so I was so excited to see the pins working for yours! Unfortunately, when I tried them on mine (wet and dry), they fell off right away. :(

  • @fcec523 maybe ur not doing right cause i have them and my hair its ptretty long and they work perfectly on me keep on trying its worth ur time

  • I LOVE these! I went skydiving and I have super hair and i didnt want it flying all over the place and in the face of my tandem jump buddy so i used my trusty spin pins and they stayed put! I love these babies!

  • @britneylynmac SUPER LONG HAIR*

  • Does this work with curly hair too?

  • Great job on this tutorial! I bought these on a whim last night, not even sure what they were and have them in my daughter's hair right now. So easy! Your tutorial is right on the mark. Exactly how I did it (though hers is in more of a relaxed bun, with only one pin having to hold it right now) right down to the twisting first (the only way I ever knew how to do a bun). I found your tutorial while telling a friend about this "cool product I found" and it showed it to her perfectly. Thanks!

  • Thanks for this video.

I have looked at this product in stores for a long time now but could not honestly see how they work. This video really does not clear that up for me b/c I cannot understand how u can screw these into your hair when they are connected at one end. Ah, well!

Still, at least seeing you doing the demonstration makes me think they actually could work. :-) . . .and I may try them now.

  • Nice video, thank you for making it. I have much longer and thicker hair than you and was looking for other styles I can try with these pins. They are great! I only own 2 of them so far, but plan to pick up some more tomorrow. They are great! Someone told me they found some at wal-mart that had fake diamonds on them? Have you seen any like that? I think my friend misunderstood what a spin pin is, because once it's in your hair, you really wouldn't see any diamonds on it anyhow, right?

  • thank you thank you thank you!

  • Thank You for this tutorial! I wear my hair up or in a chignon at the nape of my neck every day at work. Hubby calls it my Audrey look. Its very hot where I live now so these look like a winner and something I should stock up on! Thanks so much!

  • I love these. I wear them every day. I have long-ish blonde, thin hair, and they hold my bun perfectly in place all day long!

  • you said go counter-clockwise and the words at the bottom said go clock-wise. Just so you know. :D I have one of these and it really is amazing. they don't snag or get caught at all.

  • How do you think it would hold up through a ballet class? My hair is in a bun constantly for class.

  • love these!!! lost mine the other day, need to buy several. i have really long straight hair. i'm to the point i may need two sets to do two buns. may try the princess leia hair.

  • i've struggling to work with this spin pin because my hair is really smooth but ur technique of twisting the hair before bunning it worked well! thanks! nice video! :D thumbs up!

  • I cant get them to work in my hair :[

  • thanks for the tutorial. I bought them and I wasn't sure how to use it but now I love them and wear them all the time!

  • thanks for the tutorial. I bought them and I wasn't sure how to use it but now I love them and wear them all the time!

  • I bought these the other day and I tryed doing the bun just using the packaging instructions... didn't go so well. After seeing your tutorial im going to give it another try thanks for the video :D

  • I bought this item yesterday. I'm so in love with it ! I have really thick hair and I cant believe it holds it all up.

  • @whoMIKEJONES, Really? cause it seems to me when you have to start a statement with "I really don't mean to seem insulting" you have every intention of doing just that.

  • @sillyandi No, dear. I started my statement with that because I really don't mean to seem insulting. Often we are faced with uncomfortable truths that need to be adressed. Are we to simply ignore them all in fear of offending our peers? Ofcourse not! That's why people often preface their statements with a reassurance that, although our criticism may not be complimentary, it is not meant with malice. Hence, "I really don't mean to seem insulting."

  • thanks emily i'm excited about these spinpins

  • I really don't mean to seem insulting but I feel compelled to tell you that your foundation seems to be several shades darker than the rest of your body. Atleast in this particular video, I haven't watched any others.

  • @whoMIIKEJONES

    its the lighting.

  • @whoMIIKEJONES You can't even tell it's darker, please just keep your comments to yourself.

  • I bought the pins this afternoon on a whim and, like you say, it literally took me 9 seconds to do a nice loose low bun. I've got naturally wavy hair and it looks fabulous done with these pins. Nice review and tutorial!

  • I'm glad I found this review, I saw these at the store and thought they seemed really neat, but I didn't want to buy them to find out they didn't work. Especially since I didn't quite understand the instructions. I'm probably gonna go out and get these now.

  • @xcountessxbsx yeah me too, i picked them up and almost bought them but decided against it, but now i might go buy them

  • Cool.

  • i have long, thick hair and i can make a bun using spin pins but i also have to use a ponytail holder, bobbypins, and hair spray so it won't fall out. i guess this is an improvement though because before i got spin pins i had to put TONS of bobbypins in my hair (gave me a headache), but the spin pin works pretty good.

  • sadly, these don't work on me. my hair is so incredibly think and long. hahah

  • @triplethrettappy my hair is really thick too, but it does work doing just a half bun-just pull hair back like ur putting it in a half poney tail, and then make a bun. it looks really cute actually! but yah-i cant get mine all into 1 bun sadly either....:P

  • great review...the commercial got me really curious, but i wasn't sure of how well it would work...definitely going to get them now.

  • Thank you so much for this review and tutorial! I seen the commercials and thought it was too good to be true, but after watching this, I went out and bought it and I LOVE THIS!!! Thank you!

  • You look so beautiful with your hair pulled back!! The other videos that Ive watched with you in, your hair is down. And your makeup looks great!

  • I can't believe how amazing they are. Ever since I saw the commercial I was like "I GOTTA GET THAT" and then happened to bump into it today at a store. I like your review. I personally think you would be an awesome reporter! You've got the perfect voice.

  • Comment removed

  • @procrastin8r89 she is. she works for the news as a reporter.

  • Wonderful review, Emily! :) I just saw on goody.com you can get the spin pins, pony pouf clip, modern updo maker, and volume boost combs (basically all the new goody hair accessories) for just $14.99. I've been thinking about getting it and your review has made the decision quite a bit easier! Now I have to decide whether to get the blonde or brown. :/

  • Great review and tutorial. Thank you.

  • Don't listen to a single negative comment.. you're providing these tips for free & people will always find something negative to say.. nice job, thank you for doing this!

  • this isnt bad but there is too much talking. it just gets irritating after a few min

  • i can't use thesee !

  • wow, talk much

  • @Gzusizlord I have had them all summer and have never gotten them stuck. I can even use them when my hair is wet. When you want to take it out you just find the top of the pin (the close end)twist counter-clock wise and it will come out. It doesn't pull the hair because one half of the pin is more flexible than the other. If it did ever become stuck you wouldn't pull the pin but try and twist the hair away from the pin.

  • Is that your natural voice?

  • That was a great tutorial! I was hesitant to buy these pins because I have lots of layers too...but after watching this, I'm going to get them. Thank you & you're so pretty!

  • to be honest, there's way too much talking on your part. Just show it, and repeat, without so much extra explaining.

  • Thanks for the review/recommendation. My girlfriend (who has really long, thick hair and works a job that requires her to work with her hands and keep her hair out of the way) will like these I think!

  • Oh how I wish I had my long hair back.

  • im buying them soon!!

  • you sound like a newscaster, lol.

  • i'll be looking for some of these. I like to put my hair into a french roll, I usually use decorative hair pins, but they are hard to find. These souns great.

  • im gonna go buy them soon

  • Thank you very much . I was about to return it ~~ Now I know how do play this bad boy~~

  • You look EXACTLY like Stephanie Meyer.

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I saw these in CVS and was wondering how they worked.

  • wow Thanks!..I have a question though..your hair looks super straight and really smooth even before you made a bun..is that your natural hair or do you do something to get that texture?cos my hair isnt that straight unless I blow dry it.I dont get such results with a hair straightener. Please let me know

  • Great tutorial and a neat product. I sent away for the pack and couldn't wait til it came. Not disappointed, so easy to use, love it!

  • I bought them a few months ago. I was going out on a date night with the hubby and my hair was totally acting up, so I dart into my walgreens and picked up two pairs thinking because I have alot of hair I'd need a bunch....SO NOT THE CASE! Anywho I love 'em! I use them everyday, I'm a MARY KAY consultant and I give them to my clients to use during the makeup and facials! WONDERFUL!!!!! Nichole Noda:)

  • I got the same thing at Wal-Mart today and I'm SO happy !

  • for my dance recitals i use about 30 bobby pins and they pull at my hair all night for 3 hours and it hurts! we couldnt find them but we will buy them for next year!

  • So I watched this video a while back and put the Goody Spin Pins on my list of things to purchase the next time I'm in the store. I had been looking for SOOOOO long, EVERYWHERE and couldn't find it! I went into the drugstore today and they had it! I'm sooo happy with the product and sooooo glad you did a review/tutorial on it. Thanks!!!! :D

  • I always like your tutorials. You arrange the information well to help the viewers. No unnecessary nonsense! You rock!

  • I have thick hair and it works great. You have to put it in the right spot and it was a bit of a trial and error. I think they need to make mini versions of these so I can put little buns all over my head.

  • I have thick hair and it has worked great so far.

  • IT ONLY WORKS WITH THIN HAIR. I have thick hair. well that made me sad when I bought it and it only worked on my sister :(

  • @lanessalozano Hey keep trying I have thick wavy hair and it works for me but it took some figuring out.

  • Clockwise.

  • Hey Emily do you think this product will work with somone that has thinner hair?

  • THank you so much for this tutorial. I was wondering if those really work. I love your watch! Where did you find it? :o)

  • I bought this and it kinda sucked..

I have thick hair though so that may be why, but I did it correctly and it only held for 10 minutes till it fell out. I then tried it with a hair tie ( doesn't say you have to..) and it held a lot better. So it works but not how it says it will for me. Just my experience..Might be better to even buy another pair, but it only works well with a hair tie for me

  • You remind me of Romy from Romy and Michele's High School Reunion!! Haha but in a good way of course!! (:

  • Not to be nick picky but she is turning it clockwise not counter clockwise as she states

  • excellent tutorial!

  • I wonder how these would work with curly hair. Pins and stuff get stuck in curly hair very easily.

  • thank you very much! i work in law enforcement and im required to pin my hair up and the elastic ties really ruin my hair. im gonna go get one of these

  • Thank you!! :) I've been looking all over for these!

  • arrrggh its still not showing! i really want to see how these work :(

  • this look amazing, and perfect for my hair for once!!!! I hope these are in canada somewhere!!!

  • @seabury ive seen them at walmart....im in vancouver

  • @kristypop thanks!!
