  • My fav AA Milne. So glad I found it. Thanks.

  • @fannycraddock99 Glad you enjoyed it.

  • With the current government in the UK this has so much relevance on this side of the pond as well. OGG England needs you but quite frankly I don't blame you for not living here anymore!!!!!!!

  • @stewartvcm I love England but my main complaint is that it is too expensive and too difficult to get things done

  • I still don't really understand what is going on in the poem

  • @Dudette365 What don't you understand?

  • @Dudette365 His mother is a prostitute, and she went down to the end of the town,to the red-light district:a place with a prostitute level. She put on a golden gown that barely covered her pelvis

  • @Dudette365 His mother is a prostitute, and she went down to the end of the town,to the red-light district:a place with a high prostitute level. She put on a golden gown that barely covered her pelvis

  • 6. (start with 1 below of course)

From Now we Are Sixty poem by christopher Mattew C. 1999

    Enjoy!

  • (To be spoken, very solumnly and clearly--as though to a backward child) T, C, C, C, O, J and me Can't look After you, M***** now you're 93.' Stuff and nonsense,'said M*****. 'If I can cross the sea, And visit my brother, his wife and my mother, there's nothing much wrong with ME!'
  • 5. Poor dear Silly old Mother Was found feeding the ducks in the park, With a tramp With a trolly from Tesco, Piled like a nomadic camp. She said, 'Lovely to see you-- This is my young brother , Roy. He's such a nice chap, and he's not changed a scrap since he was a dear little boy.'

  • 4. Tom, Clare, Crispin and Clementine (Known to het friends as Clem.) Got straight On to the blower, Said that one couldn't blame them. Clementine Said, 'Well I never! Frankly,' she said, 'if she Can't be left on her own, she should be in a home-- someplace nice down in Kent by the sea.'

  • 3. The police Alerted all mobiles: 'Elderly woman in grey--

Answers to Mrs MacDougall. Could be heading your way. Thinks she's Off to New Zealand Handle with extra care. She could be doolally, so be nice and pally-- and try not to give her a scare.'

  • 1.Tom, Clare, Crispin and Clementine, Oliver, Jane and me

Gave much Thought to old Mother when she was 93. Tom Clare Crispin and clementine Oliver Jane and their three Did plenty of talking and fussing and squawking, but left all the doing to me

    2. One day Our dear old Mother Dressed in her sunday best, Left a note in the kitchen: I don't want to be a pest. Ive just popped out to New Zealand, Ive gone on a bit of a spree

Ill visit my brother, his wife and my mother, and be back in time for tea

  • I just love you, OldGrumpyGuy!

  • Thanks Cecelia

  • Very enjoyable reading! Great comparison. Thank you.

  • I remember that poem. I think I read that in my elementary years and it stuck with me too. There is definitely a lesson to be learned here. I fear, those who missed the lesson, are those who aren't quite all there with their political views this day and age. >.>;

  • I like the comparison!

  • Democrat for McPalin: my Bo is clever repsonse to your Hitler/ Bo response came up as disjointed from its proper locale. Sorry, and thanks. Yours, bsl

  • Is that English?

  • prob not-sorry for all those typos, i did not do what i ought with it. get sore at the computer

  • For some reason it comes up as 'video is no loner available'?

  • seems to be working ok my end

  • My wife always complained about the electoral college and how the popular vote doesn't elect the president. I used to too until this election. I used to think that people are more educated now than they were back then, but now I know that is false. A majority of the people that voted for Obama (including white people) say that they voted for him becuase he was black or for some other stupid reason. Dr. King said to judge a man not by his skin color, but by the content of his character.

  • Wonderful! I've been waiting to see this one.

Sad truth is, willful and irresponsible people will continue to do what they please, because they think they know better. Of course, very few of us don't think so, so we must all guard against uninformed foolishness in ourselves, the only kind over which we have control.

    =^[.]^=

  • I dont believe you live up to your Screen name , I find you very pleasant and Funny (O:

  • I'm just going to have to try harder Bassfooler. I have a reputation to maintain!

  • If you become old(probably too late) and grumpy you may end up becoming like Rosie :P.

  • OGG,I raise my hot cocoa mug in your esteemed honor...My wee brain yet recalls, in one of his numerous/wantingly vacant, yet apparently mesmerizing public appearances, BO did "sagely" remark that "Americans are people with good intentions that sometimes listen to the wrong programs and believe the wrong things.." I daresay he is at least correct on that point, albeit he p'raps missed the marvey-poo irony of including himself in said list of "wrong programs" and "wrong things." Delicious, yes?

  • "Americans are people with good intentions that sometimes listen to the wrong programs and believe the wrong things.." (BO)

Hitler was more forthright, he said: "What luck for rulers that their people do not think." Which is probably what Obama was really thinking when he said the above words :)

  • Regardless of support/lack thereof for BO, all say he is clever. He/wifey:prime examples of vaunted, albeit now-destroyed ivy league curric.Perhaps some still come out of those places spiritually intact, but BO's ENTERED college "screwed up," and left even more so.His polish:touching, and to me, annoying. His clear disdain re: definitely still true American values is quite apparent to me, appallingly not so to myriad others. America has toyed w/disaster for years and years. Here it is.

  • Thanks kat. And this time you got my name right too. Well done!

  • He also a very smart man.

  • Glad you like it. I would like to do more non-political videos celebrating the best of western culture. I am working on a video series about great composers, which I hope will be entertaining as well as informative.

  • Do you know Arvo Part's work?

  • Yes xleax, I am familiar with Avo Part's work. Why?

  • just because his work is awesome :)

  • Another 5 star video sir. Just when I though YouTube had been reduced to juvenile insults and half naked musicians, I stumbled upon your channel. I hope more people discover your videos and take a moment to digest what your saying.

  • Yes, I totally agree with you. OldGrumpy is very refreshing.
