This movie wasn't that bad; it's worth watching as a lighthearted comedy and just for the record; Lindsay was never a bad actress even when she was considered 'A' list. Cheryl Hines is pretty good in this as well.

I hope Aaron Yoo is in this movie more than this very dodgy trailer shows. I saw a previous trailer and he wasn't in it at all. Not surprising given that Hollywood's always trying to hide audiences from Asian faces, as if having Asians and Asian-Americans in a movie is going to keep people from watching a movie. Still waiting for Hollywood to wake up from its ignorance. I hope Yoo's just not there to be the butt of jokes.

That figures. Of course he gets dumped for the white guy, the all-purpose, universal face of diversity, the white guy. The white guy in Hollywood can bed any woman, of any color, no matter how preposterous, ridiculous and unlikely. Last Samurai, anyone? While I'm not saying Disney's Brenda Wu, Homecoming Warrior is stellar filmmaking, but at least there, the Asian-American female lead dumps the white guy and goes with the Asian male at the end. Won't see THAT in most American movies.

I finally went and saw The Hangover, using a free pass, and while it did have many funny moments, I namely saw it to see just how Ken Jeong's character was portrayed. And it was as I feared -- I had heard he was a gay, Asian gangster, and he indeed way. Two stereotypes for the price of one! He's gay and a gangster! And at least one other characters refers to him as a "little kid," twice. A little kid? Because he's short, and Asian? That's as bad as calling a black man a "little boy."
