This is a really excellent ad but it also demonstrates how Japanese commercials, and their making, make absolutely no fucking sense whatsoever. I mean, how are any of the actions in the ad relevant to anything that has to do with that particular room, or a TV, or selling TVs...? can anyone remember what inspired this ad (=what it was nicked from)? i saw this idea used in a short about 15 years ago, but - as i recall - with the people much more densely packed. its probably on youtube somewhere.... set in a kitchen, coloured lines round all the people, grainy video...

the only bit that sounds different is the beginning cause its echo-ey, giving the impression its in an empty room.
