@gsn93 In the middle, the First Version didn't "bridge" the way it does in this version. Version 1 followed the progression of the previous ones. This Second Version deviated from that a little, and started the trend of introducing more chord progressions into the main theme of the song.

I was watching the credits roll for a recent episode of Jeopardy while getting ready for Saturday Night Football and they had a credits theme without sax. I was livid! The sax makes the credits song!

This theme should have been kept for the 25th season as the show was still holding the previous set at the time. I just don't understand why they changed it then cause the theme was so fitting for that set. I'm not saying that I hate the current theme, but this theme was so popular that it deserved to be played another season.

Even this theme fits the current set not just the previous two sets.

The 1st Version of the JEOPARDY! 2001-08 theme without the saxophone lasted from Monday April 23rd, 2001 (during its 17th Season) to Friday July 22nd, 2005 (the last game of the 21st Season). Meanwhile, the 2nd Version of it with the saxophone lasted from Monday September 12th, 2005 (the 1st game of the 22nd Season) to Friday July 25th, 2008 (the last game of the 24th Season).

During the closing credits, the electronic guitar and the final sax didn't hear from 2001-2005 (Seasons 17-21)> But during the 2005-2008 seasons, the main closing theme returns.
