  • why not just pretend x = 4? If it were 4, then it would violate the rule that any two sides of a triangle must add to a sum greater than the third side. 4+4=8, so x>4.

  • thank you. that is helpful and I'm going to buy the book you mentioned in the beginning. Regarding the website, I checked it but it's in the States while I am in Canada and is quite expensive sir.
