  • ma8e th simeni bouzouki re file

  • Excellent cover!

  • I`m not sure what it is, maybe a mandocello, but they are commonly known as Irish Bouzouki to differentiate from the Greek instrument. On the other hand, I am pretty sure that Beth is a cutie, with a voice, and knows where to put her fingers :)

  • this is AWESOME

  • Beautifull song and beautifull performance (and beautifull ladie as well)

    Thanks for posting this

  • video win!!!

    description fail...

  • FOR SOME STARNGE REASON L LIKE THIS .......

  • 2:15 I think someone flashed her!

  • It's a flat back bouzouki, known outside Ireland as an Irish Bouzouki. The one I play was made in 1978 by Andy Manson specifically for traditional Irish music. They have become popular over the years for use in a wide range of international folk. The 10 stringed version is an English cittern.

  • It is an 8 string bouzouki. I own an 8 and 10 string.

  • this is not a bouzouki this is a bizantine organ

  • that s not bouzouki

  • this is not 'bouzouki" but sitar-guitar my friend...anyway,very nice version!!congrats!!

  • If this were all I knew about Beth, I would still love her. Beautiful song, amazingly played and sung. So much character in her face, too!

  • Most excellent!

  • lots of drugs, i like this version! up the goddamn irons!

  • Aint it funny how it seems you never miss it till its gone away..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bloody Brilliant cover..!!!!

  • and i thought the original was touchy... (that's not bouzouki by the way)

  • Τρελή μουζουκάρα ρε

  • and this isnt bouzouki...vlaxares teleutaies leuteria sthn tsetsenia

  • @PouEinaiOiMpureS actually is called irish buzukki inspired by greek buzoukki and manufactured by an irish musician in the 60's or 70's

  • I hear...A BOUZOUKI.....playing Iron Maiden.

    Very well done.

  • Very cool!

  • Excelente!

  • Pretty Awesome!

  • bouzouki is greek but thats not a bouzouki ;p

  • very good song I like....

  • Im not sure about the instrument, ez enough to find out, but that voice is Irish. MAIDEN!!!!

  • BOUZOUKI IS GREEK MOTHERFUCKERS

  • @ApoelUltrasPsychoFan That's not a Greek bouzouki, that's an Irish one. Note the flat back.

  • @pandarsson So? It's called Irish "bouzouki" mate :P No matter the modifications it's still a bouzouki and its origin is greek. It doesn't really matter though :) Irish ppl are brothers \m/

  • @MrVerethron You're absolutely correct. But if we're going to be dicks to Irish for having a similar instrument and using the name (as did the person I responded to), maybe we should stop before someone decides to be a dick BACK and point out to US where the WORD comes from.

See? All a matter of perspective.

  • @pandarsson where the word comes from is of no matter at all in this specific examble. The ancestor instruments of bouzouki were greek and bouzouki is greek made. You see though that after 400 years of Turkish dominion in Greece many of their words remain. Thats sad, if you want my opinion, but it's a fact :P If anyone dares to say that the Turkish horde of that age was more civilized and musically cultured than the Greeks of the same period let him say it. He will just prove that he is stupid!

  • @MrVerethron Po po po. All right. I'll let it go. I'll just pick up my "Spanish" Gibson SG electric guitar and play it with my "Egyptian" pick. In between songs, I'll sip my "Ethiopian" coffee and smoke my "Mayan" cigarette.

  • @pandarsson I'll play my "Japanese" keyboards then. Have fun! ^^

  • cool

  • Beth you rock momma!!! from rigor

  • Am I the only one or does her mouth remind anybody else of Annoying Orange's mouth??!!

  • great cover beth patterson does an exelant rendition as well look her up

  • dude seriously.... what drugs r u on??? ""a traditional English ballad"", "bouzouki"????

then again... if you c&p Lewis & Jeannine have a word with them...

  • wow...i mean really..wow..im at a loss for words

  • God, that was fucking beautiful! Amazing rendition of an amazing Iron Maiden song.

  • UP THE IRONS!!!!

  • tamale just needs to be educated. I've seen her many times and she's the best show in NOLA. She has a lot of originals that will blow you away plus she stands up there for three hours straight, no break, and belts them out. And if tamale is from a different planet and doesn't like that, she also has stand up comedy thrown in between! Well that's just a natural occurrence for her, but that humor comes out in her parody songs. Don't miss her!

  • @PauliSkucrenchko He was just pointing out that is was an Iron Maiden song originaly, and not a ballad. I didn't see him saying anything bad. ..

  • "a traditional English ballad"? Ha ha. This is Wasted Years by Iron Maiden

  • @Tamale2009 its means just the same ;)

  • @Tamale2009 You obviously didn't notice the irony with the quotations marks.

  • @Tamale2009 she said the same thing about her tom sawyer cover.... a traditional canadian song lol.

  • Comment removed

  • @Tamale2009 it's on quotation marks you retarded

  • @Tamale2009 It kind of makes sense, since Iron Maiden are English, and traditional for some people :D

  • @Tamale2009 it is such a classic and legendary song that in 50-100 years it will be considered traditional!!! ;)

  • You Tube videos of Beth Patterson are the best way to pass the time between seeing her play actual gigs. Long live Bethodism!!

  • Very cool rendition

  • WELL SPENT years on the bouzouki, I'd say! Excellent performance.

  • Beth is a goddess. I saw her at O'Flattery's (I think that is what it was called) in New Orleans in '01 and fell in love. I see she stuck through the hurricaine. What a shame if New Orleans had lost her. Her beauty and voice make me want to cry. Keep it up Beth, we love you!

  • this is great, one of my fav maiden songs
