  • :O

    its amazing

  • vivaldi says "PERKELE" from heaven!

  • And 797 blew loads in their pants

  • 35 persons tried to cover this....and failed! :O

  • one simply word: awesome

  • Vivaldi would have been proud (:

  • youtube.com/watch?v=Rrxe_sv9Ow4

  • woooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww

  • i want to know what effects they used!?!?!?1

  • @onimar

    I can't hear any effects.

Only distortion about (or close of) Bass: 6~7, Middle: 4~5, High: 8~9, Drive: 9~10 and Reverb: 3~4.

Well, I have a Line 6 Spider III 75 and that's the preset that I use to sounds close to COB. (Sorry for my terrible english).

  • @Blast8Bits it sounds like they have some delays and reverbs going on to make that sound cuz no matter how u tremelo pick its not gonna sound like that without delay. your english is fine.

  • Oh deary me.. this is awful.

I mean, good on em for trying, but it's classical music, metal dudes,

You can't just plow into it like a rapist.

I'm stickin' with Valerie Kim, at least she gets applauded afterwards.

  • @KindOfAnxious i couldnt clap coz i was too busy changing my pants after i came in them

  • finally learned how they did the violin sound. :D trying to play this with my cousin.

  • @VidKing12123 and how did you do it? haha

  • @KuroCC Stoppd using a fucking pick and got a violin bow lol

  • wow...trying to learn this on my vioin. came across this listening to it. so amazing:')

  • 32 peoples are so stupid...give me gun please...

  • is it just me or classical on electric guitar is so fucking awsome? it sound alive.

  • doesnt need backing track

  • it would be nice to hear the guitar isolated.... pretty gay when its all synth

  • im guessing the people who left negative comments couldnt possibly be musicians. for the uneducated- this is not fake. i dont even know how you could possibly hear a piano in this rendition. and for those that appreciate this and want to know how they got that sound- alexi and roope use D standard tuning(FADCGC 1st string-6th string) and a pitch transposer set one octave higher

  • @7xSynz Really? thats cool. Howd you figure that out? just curious.

  • @asshat90

    You can hear it

  • well, they sure killed that one!

  • Damn, those guitars sound like violins, how did they get such a tone.

    Kickass.

  • I always say that Vivaldi was the headbanger of the baroque... :)

  • This is better than canon rock

  • Why Laiho's guitar is so loud, when he doesn't play the part of the first violin?

  • @AKoribut its demonstration youre supposed to follow alexi's part but you dont have to but its for the people who actually bought the video

  • sounds awful

  • That was ugly. Very ugly. Quick, quick, back to the original song!

  • i love how they give both guitarists equal camera time and dont always show the one guitarist

  • That was amazing, it makes me wonder if there are metal symphonies?

  • Zomg amazing!!!! What kind of guitar is that

  • @bobtime1 some kind of jackson v signature series probably, itll be on the website most likely

  • @danielwhiyers ltd alexi signature

  • @bobtime1 jackson star if im not mistaking

  • @bobtime1 its the Jackson randy rhoads V

  • is roope using a guitar synth?

  • i think roope using violin effect..

  • on a violin?

  • slower than the classical...

  • where did you find the tab?

  • Ja télleg jóóxD

  • AWESOME

  • En nagyon jóó. GREAT!! VERY GOOD! BEST!

  • Aw dammit! I was going to do this cover this movement on guitar too, but they beat me to it. Still fucking awesome though.

  • sounds like violins.

  • tuning, i found tabs, and music, but should i use drop C?

  • @linkinman48 If you want to practice it, practice it in standard, then it will be easier in drop c.

  • its D tuning not drop C

  • what kind of pedal do they use?

  • @MrCrazyfetus no pedal, just turning knobs on Roope's Marshall ;-)

  • fuckin' nice!!! Alexi and Roope are Gods

  • This kicks SO MUCH ASS. Seriously, if Vivaldi could hear this I think he'd like it, too!!

  • Dude he would shit his pants sideways!

  • Children of bodom rocks!!!!love this version!!

  • Love it.

  • thats sick!

  • It just looks too metal for Vivaldi lol :)

  • not really it kinda does resemble the original but in a deaper tone

  • fake. it's so obvious that Elton John is in the in the back playing piano

  • man, do you know where EJ is? IN YOUR BED!

  • leave it to you to bring up your homosexual fantasies. that's fine that you're gay, just don't go around parading it, please

  • OK, then i ask you to go back under your rock you fucktard, and stop commenting nonsenses about a stupid gay (your "girl"friend) playing piano in the background.

  • @ohjeeeeez wow, you've never heard CoB play.

  • @ohjeeeeez Bro, You ARE fake, not this thing. are u dumb?

  • @ohjeeeeez

You must surely mean Jordan Rudess.

  • YES. \m/ best thing ever :D

  • im pretty sure this is in D standard, thast wut bodom plays in

  • Comment removed

  • Lies!

  • OMG ,how they play this??????

  • well it probably doesn't hurt that they are pros :P

  • @velis1greece practice practice practice ;)

  • l'Hard Rock e la Classica hanno molte cose in comune (Vedi Deep Purple: Concerto for Group and Orchestra 1969).

  • I'm pretty sure it's standard D download the tab for Guitar Pro.

  • what tuning do you play this in?

  • i think just standard E

  • knows someone what kinds of effects they use?

  • a playback:D its just the guitars with a backing track

  • so it's an orchestra version and they play to it?

that's why i heard the chembalo?! xD

  • heavy metal sound + classical pieces = kick ass

  • @6sodom6boy6 Totally i'm like (XP'''

  • Amazing!

  • This shit is terrific, is that roope or alexander playing with him, his hair is in his face the entire time, it looks like alexander to me but he is kinda skinny to be alexander. I think they started playing esp guitars after roope joined mabye?

  • it's roope. and they're both playing with jackson.

  • his fingers look like white moldy corndogs, but hes really good

  • how do you get that tone for your guitar that sounds like a string instrument?

    synth

  • well most of it comes from the backing track of the orchestra and the rest is when the harmonize on guitar listen to harmony on any songs example some death solo they harmonized 3 guitar for some riffs and it gets a synth sound thats my opinion

oh yea and there is probably a synth also in the background forgot that

  • urm a roland guitar synth??

  • I prefer the traditional Baroque, to me music should be played the way it is written and this was meant for the violin, viola, cello, and harpsichord.

  • Youre right, but since none of them can play violon, but still like the song, they will play it on their instrument.

And since the effect they are using makes their guitar sound kinda like a violon, its not that bad =P

  • eat shit

  • Miam, i like eating shit

  • I've heard really good classical ensembles that didn't interpret it this good. I have a feeling Vivaldi would love this!

  • Are you seriously comparing some fucking chink who became famous playing one of the easiest pieces of music in the fucking world to Alexi Laiho?

Funtwo couldn't play half of what Alexi Laiho's pubes can.

  • yo danhat15, i'm looking for the arrangement they used, do you have it, and if yes, can you tell me where to get it? thx

  • Classic and rock?! WOW! 5 stars!

  • ill think you'll find that its metal

  • excellent excellent playing man... good music at its best..

  • Roope's part is harder

I learned both parts and Alexi's is easier

But it still is pretty hard

  • too be fair though in COB alexi has to do vocals aswell

  • Could you post the tab of this?

  • Badd Fuckin' Ass!

  • Someone post the effect setup lol

  • those effects are beautiful i wants dem

  • all the other comment bullshit aside, I JUST CAME HARD from watching this.

now back to your regularly anticipated flame war.

  • All these people posting comments about 'being goth is an illness' and all this bollucks: Get a life.

Just enjoy the music. What musicians do in their spare time is none of your business, so just accept this is amazing, something you'll never be able to do, and go bash people you don't like somewhere else, you juvenile idiots.

  • im not surprised hes gay.when your a goth you either acept a life of masterbation or be gay.cos theres no woman going to have anything to do with you, being goth is a illness

  • That fucking goth in the vid with his gay black nails bones more girls than you can count :P Fucking dumbass

  • What, you hate gay people amirite?

  • keke u fail at life :) No seriously... You do.

  • Asshole you dont even know me, grow a sack and a brain fucking asswipe.

  • Yeah in response to my earlier comment i have to say that only the first minute is hard, once you have that down the rest is easy!

  • Comment removed

  • easy!!! jaja naa jk im learning to do this right now on my guitar clases

  • SO HARD TO PLAY!

  • Not on violin

  • It's not on guitar, either. It's mostly scale or arpeggio runs.

  • Can u do it?

YEs its scales and arpeggio runs, but they're fast as hell........

  • No, my principle instrument is piano, not guitar. I've been told this by guitarists as well though, and I understand the playing mechanics of guitar because I used to play it.

Generally speaking, on a guitar, polyphony is more challenging to achieve than playing fast on a scale. Playing fast arpeggios is pretty simple mechanically and hard to trip up, while trying to keep two-three melodies each sounding like a singing melody on guitar; now that is really tough.

  • Let me give you another example on drums to help give you a better idea; playing fast 16ths on the drums in 4/4 is kind of hard...playing slow quarters with triplets on top and subdividing the whole note into equal divisions of five like African drummers can do, and then dropping the slow quarters and keeping everything intact...physically, that's not exhausting, but jeez, is that hard to play.

  • While it's true what you say about polyrythms etc being hard to play, this piece is also challenging because of the large jumps, difficult string crossings, and other techniques which apply at lot more to the guitar than to piano, drums and other instruments.

  • Hmm...Piano has a lot of jumps as well; because the piano has a lot of flexibility to it, the rep has reached unreasonably high standards of playing. Even Chopin's etudes (like the famous C major one), which are considered easier etudes on the piano (compared to say, Liszt or some Alkan) require rapid octave jumps the whole time which requires you to move your hand a hand span's length between 16th notes. I would argue though, that the real difficulty with a piece like that

  • is the fact that you have to have nice dynamics, changing of texture and articulation on top of actually playing it, something that's really lost on the electric guitar. I think good fugue playing on an acoustic guitar is pretty impressive, although it's not flashy like this part in the Vivaldi movement. On an instrument like guitar there's barely any fingerings that work, and it's tough to make each independent "voice" sound like separate instruments, while making it sing (have

  • meaningful dynamics in the large and small sense) while not losing the larger sense of the piece. But that's not really flashy and part of the difficulty is expressive musicality, not just fast straight 16ths on pretty much straight scale runs so you won't hear people mention it as often..same with jazz guitar solos which also have pretty fast runs (but that's not on fully distorted guitars and doesn't sound as badass).

  • alexi rules =)

  • I must have listened to this 400 times now. I am trying to play it, but I only got 22 frets, got to fudge a couple of notes and speed it up about 300%.

  • the best shit i have heard from them in years

  • you bastard!!!

  • this is cool!!!!!!!

  • i love it

  • i fuking love it!!!

  • he probably would lol

  • i would like to see kirk hammett do this

  • He'd probably need the best wah pedal he can get, to make his playing sound better. lol

  • whats the ex for?

  • example, its from a guitar lesson dvd

  • with guitar effects =)

  • this is insane

is their any backing at all?

if not, how do they make one guitar sound like a violin?

  • i would assume its a backing man.

  • I can't decide whether I like this or the orchestra version.

  • OMG...he is one of the best guitarists in the world for sure :D
