I've only had Sandisk mp3 players (3). And they have all failed me. Lasting less than a year. I decided to give Sandisk another chance with the Fuze, and hopefully it doesn't break down or else I'm changing brand.
The mark of a quality brand (like SanDisk) is to try new products out in the future. That describes me with the Sansa Clip 2GB (before mine refused to function again). Trying out the Sansa Fuze at a Best Buy, it felt pretty solid from the controls to its feel. I'm hopeful to get one this Christmas. I wanted an iPod Nano, but those plans have since been cancelled. The clincher? FM Radio. SanDisk has it; Apple doesn't. A wonderful MP3 player.
That looks so cool! Similar to Ipod nano, but better!! I would get it if I had the money and I didn't already have an e260R. Sandisk is the best MP3 player company, just because of the memory card slot that each player has!
1) The Fuze and all of the Sansa MP3 players can be used with out additional software. They are plug and play. They will be recognized and you can drag and drop files.
2) The battery is not replaceable.
Rechargeable, Li-Polymer (not replacable)
Battery Enclosure Type: Internal
Battery Life Details: Up to 24 hours of audio playback / 5 hours of video playback.
that will certainly be my next mp3 player. Ihave owned the sansa e260, the sansa view and the clip and the best one so far for sound was the clip, the best for interface and style was the sansa view, so a fusion between the sandisk sansa clip and the view would be something interresting, because sandisk claims that they used the same soundchip used on the clip. And trust me, that clip's sound is better than any ipod's sound. I know what i'm sayin.
how do you put music on it???! HELP ME PLEASE! (INTERNAL MEMORY DOESNT SHOW UP!!!)

Two questions:
1- Does it work without needing any software (ie: appear as a removable drive and support Explorer drag&drop)?
2- Is the battery user replaceable unlike the iPods?
