  • Imagine if the airbags went off...

  • just got rear ended in my a4, not much physical damage but its 600 to fix !

  • it looks slow and damage-less but its probablt $1.5k damage at least.

  • Haha at first I thought it was ultra slow-mo :D.

  • reassembling after the collision? : D

  • @340Michal do spozywczaka lec buraku

  • I sure hope they use a car like this in another crash test. Not a just a bumper test, unless they sell it for a discount! haha

  • New cars are made from materials that are to easy to get destroyed soft as butter I know that new bumpers are made to absolve the impact bat we have a 1989 wrangler Laredo and we hade crash with bigger speed and nothing happened

  • ma a che cosa cosa servono questi test ???

  • lool how slow was it going

  • Wow, over 500 pounds with just a baby crash? D:

  • I'm 17 and someone hit MY FUCKING VW BEETLE I JUST GOT 2 MONTHS AGO!!!! >:C

  • I'm 17 and I'm getting this in a few months

  • Almost $1000 in the full bumper ? Leave it that way no one is going to find out the damage

  • this audi such a crap shit !

  • @louisalcha it's a car not a tank for u're information....

  • The results of driving into a bumper attached to a fricking building.

  • You would be an Idiot if you got that fixed

  • a lil Ducktape and its good as new =D

  • LOL @ HORN

  • this is crap...that orange bumper on the wall is not realistic executed,is way too sharp on the edges, and is causing higher damages

  • I love the headlight!

  • it hurts to see an audi getting damage, but I think Le mans 2011 proofed that audi is the most safe car!

  • honk!

  • Search this in youtube and it explains a lot, if you look at the 70's and 80's they are built much better. I would put a 1970 anything against the 2009 Impala to see how it came out.

Thoughts on the Impala Crash - 1959 vs. 2009 V8TV

  • is it me, or when it hit the wall, the car horn beeped

  • WHERE DO THEY GET THESE ESTIMATES?

  • OMG! :o is everything .o.k. with the driver ?

  • @uprightbassmatt they dont put bummys in the cars in these tests cuz u cant have ingery from a bump

  • @uprightbassmatt o no is dead

  • "What? $976!? That looks perfectly fine!!! Just get some Armor-All and a wipe and it's good as new!"

  • top

  • *honk*

  • the headlight just popped back out......?

  • @rjones7755 Yeah I was looking at that too... I have this car and the headlights are definitely not foamy lol. That is bizarre haha

  • thing is, i love Audi, they're the only car maker that has some good looks to it and make high quality cars. but they have also fallen into this dumb trend of plastic bodywork in front of the actual bumper.

  • @BlackMetalWarewolf I loooove my Audi. I think the plastic is to save weight. I mean, thin sheet metal would bend in these crashes as well, and it would be more expensive to replace. Why not use plastic?

  • @ineverrememberthese you know what would save money and weight? if they took inspiration from the 1950's and started putting their bumpers on the outside again.

and actually, I've taken bumper covers off before. they wouldn't be much different from using some form of metal. not forgetting, metal is better for the environment than the kind of plastic they use. this plastic is also surprisingly expensive.

  • @BlackMetalWarewolf It produces a more aerodynamic look when the bumper is not an exposed metal slab on the front of your vehicle. Like it or not, that's what is popular these days (I must admit, I greatly prefer it.) Also what kind of plastic are we referring to? I really doubt you have the knowledge to factually back the environmental claim...

  • @ineverrememberthese We're largely talking about a kind of plastic called a "thermoset". they are non recyclable plastics, this one being formed in a press not much different from a steel press. Specifically, car bodies are largely made of one called "Duroplast" and burning it creates many toxic chemicals. its why burnt cars are such hazards these days.

but my attitude is too utilitarian for me to be bothered about how aerodynamic it looks. I want a car that wont cost stupid amounts to fix.

  • both full width look perfect to me

    no need for reparation

  • wtf are you doing with my Audi x)

  • # grand for a 3 mph crash. fuck buying an Audi. I'll buy a new bumper for $350-400 and put it on myself. or buy something else

  • the 2005-2008 Audi A4 was assembled in

    Ingolstadt, Germany

    Changchun, China

    Solomonovo, Ukraine (Eurocar; B7 only)

  • In conclusion, don't run your car into stuff.

  • @sneakyabcd More importantly don't run your Audi into stuff. :D

  • yeah It's official, if your gonna crash an Audi, do it head-on

  • corner impacts really do suck. i have a 2009 lexus IS and a guy backed into my rear cornor in a parking lot. cost = 3300$ 2 months later a guy t-bone me (again in a parking lot) cost 2200-- and it looked way worse.

  • newer vehicles are all about fuel effeciecy nowadays unfortunatly that means paying more in the repairs because the material is just cheaper......I just wish they would make proper bumpers on cars and trucks nowadays instead of plastic

  • 0:14, wtf?

  • 6 mph and 1000$ in damage..wow..

  • @CrashJSTest but the lights come on to ( 0:44 ) how come?

  • @Aragon159 Brake was applied.

  • @Canstar168 and @gergalspat this not fake

  • OMFG, did seriously just watch this entire vid hoping that there would be a high speed crash? LOL

  • bumpers should proctect the car not cost you a car

  • If I could tell you the amount of dingdongs I see driving around in cars with the same type of rear bumper side dents... sigh.

  • fake !! FAKE FAKE !!

    its unpossible !!

  • @Canstar168 your so right this is obviously photoshopped................... wow your retarded

  • @tomtom5112 it was yelping in pain lol

  • front: hardly any damage at all

    corner: just puff it out

    rear: nothing much

corner: buy a new piece of glass and puff it out

BTW so all of you know, the car isn't designed to protect itself, its designed to keep YOU safe.

  • this is why i hate audi, wtf, 976$ for that stupid little crash, and over 2k for the other one. For a toyota or a honda to repair all of this would be 500$ for everything

  • @1kingofutube Japanese are cheap, German cars are pure greatness.

  • @SwiftHDX I have an e 39 m5. but paying 6 k for damage that you cant even see is bullshit, audi is a rip off

  • @1kingofutube I own an A4 Avant and have never crashed it. If you don't know how to drive then don't get expensive cars, simple as that.

  • @SwiftHDX ive heard a lot of bad things about audi, that they break down a lot and easy, and every trip to the dealer results in tons of money, i want an audi but idk

  • @1kingofutube Not really true. They are really reliable. Once I went 130MPH non-stop for 500 miles, when I stopped there weren't any problems at all.

  • @SwiftHDX I hope so, beacuse I go to the mountain a lot, btw, where did u do the 130 for 500 miles?

  • @1kingofutube It was somewhere around 500 miles I can't remember but I was going to Switzerland so UK to Dover across the channel, Calais to Switzerland 130MPH all the way without getting stopped (lucky :p).

  • @SwiftHDX Oh, lol, im in america, america sucks

  • @SwiftHDX Since when was the A4 considered 'expensive'?

  • german cars, good cars

  • pot!!

  • i have the 2008 S-line...one of the best cars i've ever drove

  • lol in the first test the car honks and the brake lights come on

  • funny horn

  • BEEEEP :)

  • $976 for what it reformed itself? But that was funny when it hit the barrier and the horn beeped and the lights flashed.

  • 3mph crash damage estimate is 2k my ass. new headlight=400$ and bumper can be heated and bent out....dealership touch up paint will fix scratches just fine...such a ripoff

  • @skream22 You are very right but i guess its becasue the brackets holding the bumper to the car might of been damaged and could snap, i dont know but i know what you mean.

  • @skream22 It bent the 1/4 panel out of place too....

  • @skream22 I know a Russian who said the same thing...

  • @camaroblood cool. but im not russian

  • @skream22 well they have to justify the ridiculous insurance prices somehow

  • what the fuck is the point in these tests? only the americans eh. try spending money on hi-speed crash tests. you never know, you might actually make cars safer and save lives.

  • @condowallace No, the show how the damage get's if he crash in a parking lot or drives in the ass of another car in 6 MPH/10kph

  • @condowallace i'm sure you dont know this, so let me tell you about this car. It's german. not american.

  • @landroverrox Yes, I do know, you tit. What does that have to do with it? Its the americans who are conducting these tests, hence why I said ' only the americans'.

  • @landroverrox sorry, signed in with the wrong profile, cakencandy was actually me.

  • fook the headlight what about the bonnet popping open nearlly at 6mph lol

  • HOW THE HELL

is the damage in the thousands???

  • meep

  • audi is the BEST!!!

  • how is that 3000 dollars??!

  • Did the headlight just... no, that's not a car, it's alive

  • What a piece of shit. Can't even handle a 3MPH love tap without getting three grand in damage?

  • @TestECull Your calling Audi a piece of crap, have you seen a Ford in a 3mph tap, its WORSE, much worse. Audi's have decent quality bumpers, Ford Mondeo's don't. If you tapped one of those into this, it would fold back into the headlight and the headlight would probably fall out. The reason why its an expensive tap is because Audi are expensive cars in value so it has a knock on effect of the repair price.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t ...I've hit a tree at 3MPH with my Ford hundreds of times. I haven't even so much as scratched the chrome on it's bumpers

    .

Hrm...you say the Mondeo folds up too? Well it's a piece of shit as well. They're both pieces of shit if they can't handle a simple lovetap like that. It's a side effect of this passenger-safe bumper bullshit. Put the good old fashioned solid steel bumpers back on cars and you won't see them doing this anymore. My Ford has 'em and it survives hits like this..

  • @TestECull We don't do these tests at Ncap because they don't tell you the quality of the car based on a 3mph bumper tap. The IIHS does these tests because you lot can't obviously drive! And if you tapped your Fix Or Repair Daily into a tree lots of times then I am very concerned about american drivers as a whole.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Fix or Repair Daily? Maybe in Europe but my Ford makes Hondas look like absolute shit. 275,000 miles on original transmission, diff, body, frame, suspension and engine. It still runs fucking great. Oh, and you were going so well until your obvious "Europe > all others" bias came out. As such I'm not going to discuss the matter with you. If you're willing to drop the whole douchebag routine and realize that Europeans aren't automatically better I'll reconsider. Till then: FUCK OFF

  • @TestECull We don't do bumper tests because we don't drive like retards, isn't it obvious? Not to mention the countless video's of your accidents when vehicles plough into the cars when they are pulled over by the cops. We don't have that over here. Fords are junk built with a hammer and chissel, your Ford has travelled 275,000 centremeters on the original transmission, diff and engine, thats quite reliable actually. Normally they are WORSE.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t I've seen plenty of Europeans that can't drive for shit on Youtube as well. In fact I've found more stupid driver videos set abroad as opposed to set in the US. You aren't going to convince me any other way. Europe has dumbasses, so does the US.

Also, the best you could possibly come up to insult my Ford is to change miles to centimeters? What am I dealing with here, a 12 year old? Go cry home to mommy. Face it, kid. My Ford truck has more miles on it than Apollo 13.

  • @TestECull Thats a handful on vids on youtube, you are nationally known as a nation for daft driving, We aren't. Europe had dumbasses but not as many as America though.

Sorry centimeters is too much milage for a Ford, it should be millimeters. If your truck has more miles on it then Apollo 13 then that means it has zero. Your truck can't gain any milage if you are using rockets in space because the engine isn't being used and the wheels aren't moving. I don't understand?

  • @1ns4ne1d10t You get mileage any time something moves. The moon is ~270,000 miles away, and my Ford truck has 5,000 more than the rocket that America built to get to the moon.

As for European idiots...Go search for Russian Tunnel of Death. Or Ice Fail. Trust me it's 50/50 split and if you can't believe that you are a fucking idiot. Europe is no better or no worse than America, even though it's impossible for some Eurotrash douchebags to believe that. Now stop giving Europeans a bad name..

  • @TestECull "My Ford has gone to the moon in mileage" but the several engines have been re-conditioned and replaced for every mile of that journey and you have re-built the entire Ford in that time for it to last that long. You will find that the only thing that has lasted the true 275,000 miles is the body and the floorpan. Nothing else.

Unfortunately we build better cars and I am not listening to your self-patriotic opinions of a typical american.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Uhh...I haven't rebuild a goddamn thing on it, and if you went to my channel you'd see proof it's all original. Every dent, scratch, ding and rust spot.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t PS: Smacking a car into something, no matter the speed or angle, isn't going to tell you shit about it's quality. If you want a handle on that find similar examples from that make with over 250,000 miles on original major parts.

Then realize the new ones are utter shit, buy an older one and laugh when people with something from any make are sitting roadside with a breakdown.

  • @TestECull Wow you must have spent over 250,000 miles with a radio switched on to drown the dreadful interior rattling. I know that Fords always go over one pot hole and it sounds like you have 100 woodpeckers living inside the car the next, and the road noise is so intrusive you have to use a loudspeaker to have a civilised conversation. Get in a decent German car like an Audi and the silence is almost deafening. Lol

  • @1ns4ne1d10t It seems you're either A: A Euro-trash douchebag with a superiority complex or B: Just a fanboy.

German cars, you say...right, so explain why I see more Audis on the side of the road with the hood up than I do Fords?

  • @TestECull You only see them on the side of the road with the hood up, it means that the owners are taking care of them like adding oil and filling the washer jets up or if there is something wrong it can be rectified on the roadside. However, the reason why Fords are not on the roadside is because A: they are lying dead on a recovery vehicle, off to the breakers yard B: they are in the graveyard waiting to be crushed or used as a banger racer.

  • Comment removed

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Ahahahahaha, they're adding oil on the roadside. That's rich. I don't have to add a single drop of oil between changes. Doesn't leak or burn anything. I don't have to top any of my fluids up on the side of the road. Six quarts go in, three thousand miles later six quarts come out when it's time to change it. I could let it go to 5K if I wanted to.

If a good car needs frequent oil topups on the side of the road I'm just fine with my bad one that does not. Have fun with those leaks!

  • @TestECull I'm itching my beard over your claims...

  • those prices are bullshit, the car hardly even got hurt in any of them. the bumpers can just be taken off and popped out...I also loved how the headlights popped themselves out

  • @The18Jake if the brake were applied (like in a normal situation) the damage will be higher

  • @The18Jake the A4's bumpers are difficult to remove. To remove them, you need to cut them out with a grinder. To install them back, you need to weld them.Trust me,it ain't easy.

  • anythings :S audi quattro

  • I love the honk when it crashed loool

  • *rolling rolling. hits barrier* Beep

  • Fail, horn beeped when hit

  • have they already tested the new A4??

  • didnt do anything at all. dont know why the hell its so expensive.

  • stop at 0:08

  • hey if you don't want the car il keep it like that! no problem at all!

  • Damage $976????..... I could feel stolen

  • @charlesz3 some cars have 4 thousand dollar repairs for that one bump

  • look at the exhaust :D 2:01

  • 0:31 the car got scared LOL

  • Makes me happy with my 1985 Olds Cutlass. A 6 MPH hit with that car will cost them $2300 and cost me a little elbow grease to get their paint off my car.

  • @dreamweaver961 And that's because you car comes from the era when 'crumple zones' were thought to be some new biscuts.

Crash it at 50 and guess what? Not much damage to the body, but it will take a lot of elbow grease to get your face off the dashboard.

  • @OhFishyFish , Thanks for the concern, I have seen a crash between a older car and a newer car at a higher rate of speed both wearing seat belts. While they were cutting the newer car from around the driver, the driver of the older car was the first responder in that case. If I were to be involved in a crash with a newer car his crumple zones would benefit me as much as him but my car will live on.

  • @dreamweaver961 lol your car will live on, but you will likely be turned into scrambled eggs in a moderate to serious accident. Drive safe.

  • @ineverrememberthese Maybe, I was in a 35 MPH accident in my newer car and if I were to have hit them straight I would have likely not been injured though his passenger would have been. I turned to the left and was on the brakes ( keep in mind I didn't even have a car length to react ) when we hit I was at about a 45 degree angle to his car. The impact rendered the shoulder part of the seat belt useless the only part held in place was my bottom half, my face was in front of the pass airbag.

  • @ineverrememberthese When I was young I had a major crash in a 1970's model car, the total impact speed was over 100 MPH ( we both said we were doing at least 60 MPH I assume we slowed a bit) The car that swerved into my lane was a 1987 something, I couldn't really tell what it was after the crash at least not from the front 3/4. Both cars were totaled but I was hurt less and I didn't even have a seatbelt on ( I wear one everyday now) she was in critical condition I walked away.

  • @ineverrememberthese So in the end I was hurt more from the 35 MPH crash while in the newer (2003) car than in a total closing speed in excess of 100 MPH in my early 70's car without a seatbelt. I was cut up and banged up but walked away from the far worse crash ( who knows why ) I understand all of the tech that is crumple zones and airbags and seat belts, I would never want my wife and kids to ride in anything that didn't have them.

  • @ineverrememberthese My Dad died in a 30 MPH rollover crash without a seatbelt. The car was still drivable and he wouldn't have had a scratch if his belt were on at the time, as the car rolled over he was slung out the driver window and the car rolled onto him until the strain caused cardiac arrest, it took 45 minutes for anyone to realize he was under the car, he lived for 10 months in a coma before passing. I'm all for the safety in cars. I was just talking about a bumper hit like in the vid

  • @dreamweaver961 Also, sorry to hear that about your dad. I've lost a family member or two to wrecks as well.

  • @ineverrememberthese Thank you, I am sorry for you too. I look at it this way it was just his time and there was nothing I could do about it. II still like my 1985 Cutlass though and I will never swerve again because it hurt worse than the head on I had long ago.

  • @ineverrememberthese We just took over the entire page of comments. LOL

  • @dreamweaver961 I wouldn't exactly call 80s cars modern. I think those scare me more than cars from most any era, safety wise. The front half of the car is your crumple zone! hah.

  • @ineverrememberthese True but they did have crumple zones.

  • @dreamweaver961 "Crash test Chevrolet 1959 vs Chevrolet 2009" have you seen that video? Pretty interesting comparison

  • @ineverrememberthese Yes I have it is very interesting, I also watched them crash a smart car into a concrete barrier at 60 MPH and it crumpled just fine. In the end try not to test the tech behind car safety. LOL , If I were worried about dying I wouldn't do the hobbies that I do, Click on my user name and check out my videos. Good talking to you, Its funny how two people who live who knows where from each other and have never met can carry on like this in front of the world.

  • @dreamweaver961 I've seen that one! Smart cars terrify me haha... There's a few videos of those crashing with Mercedes and kinda bouncing away after impact. xD Also... I promise I'm not as big of a safety freak as I sound like. More of a cars in general freak. I'm mostly procrastinating on what I need to be doing for work right now, hah. I do my best under pressure :)

  • @ineverrememberthese I am probably more of one than I sound, at least when it has to do with my wife and kids.

  • @dreamweaver961 but at 50mph it will take them three days to clean the car from your brain and blood because you die and they dont. thats the thing -> money or safety, you can onely choose one.

  • @headshooter44 true, i still like my cutlass, i will try not to get into any situation like that. i do have a new vehicle for my family car for the reason of protection but i will continue to drive my old car till one of us die. me or the car. be safe.

  • @dreamweaver961 Can't really be careful enough with the wife and kids.

  • 10 km/h

  • The costs suggested here are mainly is mainly for labour to fix the problem.

Those plastic bumpers and the replacment of lights are all cheap Jack now days.

It's the repairers making a mint out of insurance companies.

  • @samdj53 all of the damage to the car is behind the bumper, that shit costs alot to fix, my dad is a mechanis, that crap sent him bankrupt.

  • the dummy's head is banging the audi's horn HAHAHAHAHHA.

  • haha even though there is no dummy in the car lol

  • there are no dummy in the car :p

  • @jakob1106

    My bad :D

  • HI SPEED CRASHHHHHH

  • why did the horn beep when it hit the front

  • that is becase it bange a little hard in the wall and then something shaked the horn.... or it is a crash sensor :D

  • @tomtom5112

    Because the car got scared

  • @tomtom5112 Its probably either a saftey thing which i doubt it is or the impact hit the horn and it beeped because the horns on most cars especially Audis are right at the nose of the car.

  • @tomtom5112 its a signal for women parking just to say " BEEP you failed again"

  • @tomtom5112 it's a warning for another drivers perhaps

  • @tomtom5112 the horn is mounted in the from and the impact probably hit it and made it go off

  • @TJDeadkid i don't get it

  • @TJDeadkid i dont think so.

most likely it's because of the switch in the steeringwheel which become pressed in by the gforces.

as long as the switch isnt activated there is no electricity connected to the horns.

  • unless i had back up sensors i wouldnt even get that fixed

  • Hmm... I didn't uderstand, the headlights coverglass is made of plastic??

  • @Sizuykeks because they want to lower the price. But it makes this car creppy.

  • Nonsense test!!

The opposite bumpers are hard steel and on a wall.

  • audi is the new mercedes in germany.check the a 7 sportback what a master pice

  • 1:22 the light just pops back out lol

  • They are going chinese with light lenses lolol

  • whoops 2:00

  • l@@k at the exhaust at 3:00 and something came out

  • @integra2up2 the rear bumpers reflector poped out because the bumper bent.

  • did the windshield crack on the first corner impact test!?

  • the first one is like nothing happened
