Qué bella voz. Mientras más escucho a Marcelo Álvarez, más me encanta. Sé que es chocanta hablar del "merjo tenor", pero no dudo que Marcelo bien puede encabezar la lista. Desde Pavarotti, nunca había escuchado un "Ballo in maschera" tan maravilloso como el de Marcelo. Mis más sinceras felicitaciones.

Wow!!!! I haven't heard much from him for a few years now, but this is fantastic!!! It's about time we had a decent Verdi tenor on the scene to live up to the last greats: Bergonzi, Domingo & Carreras. Vargas did a good job, but hasn't really sustained it. Jose Cura...well...could have! I still hold out for Jonas Kauffman moving into this rep in time too. Looking forward to reacquainting myself with Mr Alvarez and hoping we hear more from him :)

Absolutely right! But he hasn't been away - I saw him as Manrico and Rodolfo fairly recently, although I think he's now "retired" from Boheme...
