PLUS there is more chance of a large asteroid (Planet Killer) hitting the Earth than us being attacked by aliens..
The issue with finding a planet at that distance is that planets are already difficult to spot. This thing is about, supposedly, 3 times the distance Pluto is to the sun and it's still semi-difficult to catch pluto as it is. It's a failed star, allegedly, which means it burns so dim that unlike other stars in the galaxy; it's easily out flared by other neighboring stars millions of light years away - maybe even on the other end of the galaxy. It's not simple task, that's for sure.
Now we have to find out if its orbit comes near enough to have influence on our planet or the sun! We also have to wait for final confirmation of the excistance of Tyche, but there is no doubt in my mind that it could be true. Though it is strange that already more solar flares are present, and also, it is truly strange they have not found this planet until now! (so they say..) Ask yourself this: Why are they able to see far in the universe with present scopes and had not found this planet
