The wonderful and humorous thing about the Brady movies WAS the contrast of having a sitcom family from the 1970's living in the 1990's. There was a VERY short lived television show on Nick at Nite when I was a kid about a 1950's sitcom family living in the 1990's. Sadly, it wasn't developed as well as it could be, but the concept was really cute.

Funnier indeed. The original Greg is a stick in the mud when it comes to being funny. I had the pleasure of speaking to him once and I gave him an opportunity to address the perms that all the males got that one season and he actually denied that they were perms. WHAT? Oh yeah, the style was called "a natural" in the 70s-NOT a perm. So yeah, you're right; new Greg is much funnier, still a little wimpy, but funny.

This 'Greg' was Christopher Daniel Barnes, who played the voice of Prince Eric in Disney's original Little Mermaid movie.

Hey OfficerJohnMcLane. To each his own. The original Greg wasn't losing his hair and had an athletic build. This guy in the movie has a comb over, a wimpy body. But that may be your thing. Either way, the original Greg WASN'T A DORK. This actor doesn't get the character at all.

I don't think you get that this movie is a parody. Have you ever seen a charicature sketch? You take some prominent feature of a person an exaggerate it for the sake of humor. Greg may not have been a dork in his day and age, but if he talked and behaved that way nowadays, then it would be considered dorky.

I love this movie. The casting was spot on amazing with only two exceptions. The original Greg and Peter were good lookin' 70s studs. The Greg and Peter in the movie were homely dorks.
