When I was growing up, we didn't have electricity, and I remember my Dad hooked up a radio in the house to a car battery so my Mom could listen to some music. And this is the kind of music we heard every day. Wonderful memories of a time gone by. Thanks for posting.
I love this song. The guy whistleing sounds exactly the man whistleing in the Jim Ed Brown version. The saprano singers or singer makes this version even better. Does anyone know who the sapranos were? or the whistler?
@venezio007 Yes it does, they both have excellent styles.I have many of Tommy's albums.Guitar music is so soothing to listen to. Thank you... Have a good one :)
I am madly in love with an Indian who is young enough to be my son....most beautiful smile, and whitest teeth...dark skin and slightly graying hair and beard....sweetest guy I ever met and best lover I have ever had...I send this to him at least once a week.....unfortunately there is no real future for us....but I can dream
I love this piece of music...never more than this past few months, when I heard it in my spirit, in regards to someone that I have recently been involved with online...we were parted due to circumstances beyond our control...but evil cannot win...and just like all good fairytales...in the end, it will work itself out...with a little prayer and faith.

Sonny James was one of the biggest stars in country music until he retired, and too few realized that he was also one of the great instrumentalists. When he came to Nashville, he even roomed with Chet Atkins, and they used to play their guitars together--I would have loved to have heard that.
@BigWheelHawaii Your welcome, but all the credit belongs to Sonny James for the music and to First People for there wonderful pictures.I just put it togeather.Thank you for stopping by... :)

Sonny always played the little runs in and between chords as good as anyone on an Acustic Guitar, I love on this song you can hear a few of those runs that used to fit so well when Sonny was singing.
my dog 'ringo' used to howl to this one and that was his only song. he and we loved it and him, so here's to you ringo in doggie heaven, i hope you can hear this old friend, i miss you.
