This clip must be slightly edited in the sound department because I am sure when I watched it on the tv both presenters said opposing names at more or less exactly the same time, yet on this clip all we hear is Wogan. And for my tuppence worth - Scooch were a made up talentless bunch of tossers whilst Cyndi could actually sing. But then, I guess the Eurovision Song Contest isn't actually about Talent!
dont blame wogan for his mistake. He must have had no doubts that Cyndi would win. He must have had That great voice in his heart. And when the name scooch was spoken. He must have been realy surprised. I can read faces well. and i say wogan spoken from his heart and not his mind.
If you were trying to get a whole country to vote for you, wouldn't you be shakey? At least she actually SANG and showed that she has some talent. Why do you think everyone sits down at the Eurovision? It's not to dance. Scooch would suit a week or 2 in the charts rather than representing a whole nation in a song contest. Lordi won last year because they were the most original act. Scooch are anything but original. "So piss of and ealve ma alone i can have my own opinion"...right back at ya.
Yeah, the Eurovision IS supposed to be fun, and I'm sure it'll be fun for the other countries who will get a really good laugh at our entry.
I may be a little biased as I am related to the guy who wrote the song for Cyndi (which is actually about walking down the Greenock Esplanade and looking across the river, not Loch Lomond which Terry Wogan said) but out of all the songs on the show last night, this had to be the worst.
Hahaha, what an absolute joke. No wonder the UK is the laughing stock of Europe. You're seriously telling me that this pile of piss is going to be representing our country...this is the best we have to offer? It's as if they want us to lose.
Wish it had been Cyndi! Might have made Top 5 with her!!

That song of Cyndi's, to me sounded like a borderline plaguarism of 'you raise me up'.

Time to give it up Terry... The Eurovision voting process is more about politics than music anyway.

True, but Terry knows it and doesn't take it serious at all on the night. I pissed myself when I saw this live XD
