I like how all cats carry big prey dragging it under their arms like that. You can see the cat powering through the grass showing the cats arm muscles from a domestic cat like the power shown in this video to the tiger or lion. I love cats.
That's pretty impressive, my Boris snufs rabbits a go-go..but they are younglin's ,not fully grown Wabits like this one.... A full size rabbit tends to be pretty good at evading a cat... and if caught, they can stomp hard with those hind legs... or even bite... So if this cat catches and kills healthy, fully grown rabbits... Good job kitteh. Bigup yoself.
All cats are great hunters, and despite being domesticated, cats are always a bit wild and can revert very easily to wilderness. They're excellently equipped to do so.
@Rayarena yea but they are turning more and more into tame nonwild pets. you can clearly see a difference between a true forest wildcat and a domestic housecat ... even with taking the socialisation in to the equation.
@Rayarena im referring to darwin. domestic houscats dont go through the natural selection that wildcats have to. hence, their hunting skills matter less, and people tend to keep the more social cats. dogs were wolves onces u know..
@catbearlol I see what you mean. That's true, but the thing about domestic cats --and I saw this if I remember correctly on Nat'l Geographics-- have hardly changed from the original. I mean, with dogs there are so many breeds & they range from Chihuahuas to Irish Wolf Hounds, but cats are are not that varied, not by a long shot, so that a cat in the wild doesn't have much "reverting" to go through. What a domestic needs is simply to hone its instincts.
@svandamme76 lol ive had more cats throughot my life than most catowners will. so yea, i know what a domestic housecat is capable of.
my point was, if u read my comments, is that survival of the fittest takes a hard turn when cats live with humans. they are no longer required to feed themselves in order to be strong enough to feed kittens\fight other tomcats for mating\territory. cuz they get the majority of their food from humans..
@svandamme76 my last cat was a tomcat (his name was chubby) he was friggin huge, alpha as fuck. he was allways out fighting and mating. since he was so big he get to fuck alot of bitches, but he coulndt hunt for shit.
@Amidat I don't feel jack shit about them... cause truth be told, on average, most dogs won't kill a healthy cat, cat's are hard as nails, fast, and pretty smart... On top of that, most dogs don't care , those who do hate cats, more often then not will give up teh element of surprise and barge over there, barking... cat runs off.
I'm sure there are smarter dogs out there that hate cats... And there are other dogs, trained to be vicious... But those are not what makes up the average dog.
@Rayarena yep ,, i have witnessed many "house cats" that people let outside walking around with "prey" in their mouths .. i dont think they should be allowed to go free and populate anywhere ,, they are killing machines... i own three btw ,, i love cats.. the only stalking they do is through the window....

@catbearlol You are totally not getting what a house cat is... a House cat is a miniature tiger/lion..
A social cat, is still a finely tuned killing machine, if given the chance every kitteh will hunt, kill and eat prey.
So what if dogs were once wolves? they no longer are.
Cats however, were not once lions, they still are, scaled down.
