  • It's like a game of musical chicken

  • unbelievable! the ending simply rips you apart! I think it's the closest you can get to Tschaikowski's intention, to the drama of his music (and his life). THANK YOU for sharing!

  • Et voila... fallait s'y attendre, mister Heifetz, reprend le thème du début du trio et la ca chante vraiment, mais voila : plus rien a voir avec le tempo qu'ils avaient anoncés au tout début tu trio.

  • Bravo!!thanks for your posting.

  • Incredible, this is paradise.

  • Trust me, Heifetz never "rushes," even if he plays faster than most violinists. Everything he does is for a reason. Now, I'm not saying I agree with the fast playing but he is making the conscious choice for his own reasons. For example, you trade off musical sensitivity for musical EXCITEMENT, which is an emotion on its own. It's like watching a controlled hurricane, generating incredible excitement and energy right inside your ear.

  • aimson, thats excatly what i was talking about with a friend about how heifetz plays the glazunov concerto. its pure EXITEMENT AT the end....the whole last 2 movements. no one else can create this.

  • I love that! Yeah alot of people can't understand that theres alot of feelings and effects to potray in music, and you cant have them all at the same time.

  • A little bit rushed, isn't it? The last bars for sure.
