  • Gotta love how a camera in 1999 is better than most camera phones now adays.

  • hahaahhah well theres yer problem

  • very good description of what happen out on the trail!!!! 2 thumbs up!

  • axle wrap?

  • @pimpb0tt thats what its called when the axle rotates and flexes the leaf spring like that.

  • Nice set up but next time I think you need thicker bars.

  • @mewmewkitti05 i think hes making it way more complicated then it needs to be. should be a central frame point, then branch off to the top and bottom of the axle, one directly over the other. basically an a frame, put a couple cross braces and the front frame mount be a hiem joint.

  • wow that is ugly!

  • I am building one now and through looking for ideas came across this video. Dang, this makes me cringe!

  • OMG u need a 5 spring pack over dare, springs to light for the demand guy Upgrade and smile

  • very good footage!

  • good footage!

ive never seen leaf packs bend that way, of course im never under my truck during times like this.

    lets all ask 4 4-links 4 xmas

  • What you had there with the track bar was good, you just need to make it bigger. That thing was a twig.

  • nice, you need more of a spring pack, I once appon a time had abit of that problem, but with a bigger spring pack, i solved that issue.

  • but what about when you want to keep the soft srping? when i see this i see it as a alternative to buying a lift kit correct? than why should you have to buy a spring pack when you dont want it? i dont mean to sound like a douche..

  • Have a look at the rear shockies, because you are lifting the car the thickness of the axel it will throw your shockies a few degrees back or forward. Get them checked by someone who knows what they are doing and it probably wouldnt hurt to upgrade as your shockies will now be doing things that maybe that brand werent designed to do. Hope this helps.

  • i had the same problem my willy's with spring over conversion .

    wound up installing ladder bars.

  • Oh and if you spend this much time and money to repair and redo the lift, might as well get a Coil-Over conversion kit and that'll solve all the problems.

  • Its how you position the Absorbers, they need to be at the lowest point of the axle, look at where the absorber is positioned, its too high up on the axle.

  • Dang, you definately just needed a bigger bar on the bottom, the top bar alone does nothing but amplify the wrap.

  • god stop soing that its killing me on the inside

  • skyjacker makes a 5th link rear trac bar.

your bars need inner connecting to each other plus stronger larger material.

pivot point needs to be in alignment with output shaft.

mine is almost complete and custom also.

  • maybe you could just use a pinion snubber... but that might not allow full suspention movement, that's a lot easier than a triangleated 4 link or a regular 4 link

  • wow that some nasty axle wrap..yea an anti wrap bar like a tri-link for coil spring will work

  • Salut, quelque chose de concrêt qui nous permet de toucher du doigt les contraintes mécanique que subissent les organes de transmission , ( après on ne se demande plus pourquoi ça arrive a casser

  • wow!

  • Wow, glad my SOA rig is parked, think I'll go start designing my anti-wrap bar now.

  • dammit boy, thats some cool stuff. Wow bent that bottom torsion bar quick and that last drive shaft angle, wow!

  • yeah when u got a bar thats no thicker than a toothpick i think its expected lol ;)

  • Hmmm! Can you say worn out leaf springs. Good Video

  • damn thats wicked..
