the front 2 bars part of the rollcage just kills it, you should cut them off and make it a 45 degree angle so it doesint look like a tractor and slightly smaller tires for more torque when you swap the engine.good luck with the wireing :( that shit is all trial and error.

Hey Sorry about that man, I didn't know you meant a motorcycle engine that year. I have a three wheeler that is odd, it's 600cc but we tuned it down some. I mostly work with with lawnmowers and I help my dad on his truck sometimes.... I have a go-cart of my own, it's got a Tecumseh 5hp on it and it does around 45mph. You may not take this advice but, if I were you I would get smaller tires on your cart so you can go a lil faster, big sprocket, torque converter, etc etc.

Thats alright. ive tryed small wheels it doesnt look good and wont work for what i wanna do with it. i have a big sprocket and torque converter. but it doesnt help that the cart is 582 lbs with out me and winch and stuff. so even with that its slow. thats why im going with something over powered.

yes i did. i picked up a 1988 honda hurricane. its about 100hp. its a 4 cylinder with 4 carbs. all 4 carbs need to be rebuilt. but i dont have the money to fork out $500 just to fix the carbs now.

holy a 100hp motor will kill u! i put a 14hp Kohler in mine and even a touch of throttle lifts the front wheels off the ground. flooring it does a massive wheely.

yea but mine is 582lbs with the 8hp engine i have on now, not taking account for the 200 lbs i weigh. plus the weight of the engine itself and also i have to make the back swing arm wider and longer to fit the engine.

lol my kart frame with engine probaly weighed about 75 pounds thats everything except driver with a 5 horse it did 70 k but i had a 10 hp carb on it to get it to wind out at like 9 grand long story short the motor is non exsistant now so im working on puting a 300cc 40 hp sled engine on it with a cvt clutch hoping to go a little faster lol

lol yea thats 160 lbs on a 5hp. mine is 582 +-10 lbs(i used a forklift w/a scale thats accurate to +-10 lbs) then add me being 178, so about 760lbs and with it not gouverned i can do about 35. and thats ok b/c that setup was just so i could get a grade in my metal shop class. im getting a motorcycle motor for it.
