  • @trindadedani Agradeço o apoio

  • Cara, bom o video.

  • Are you using your mic and a guitara t the same time? how can you do that!

  • hello, what is your opinion on the Line 6 pod Xt, nice video by the way.

  • @shakeshaftthomas I like it more than HD. In fact I prefer the X3, witch is a enhanced XT

  • @alexromachado wow, what do u like more in it? amps, fx?

  • @alexromachado throw the gt10 in there where does that fall?

  • nice shorts

  • @mindmolester7 Thanx

  • Could you give me some advice please? I'm deciding between the Pod hd500 and the Pod hd desktop version, (with a fbv express pedal). I want ti mostly for home recording, originals and covers etc, maybe in a live setting but not for a long time. Which would you suggest and why?

  • @saintofbladez Recording? Get the Desktop. It's smaller and cheaper, with the same sounds

  • @alexromachado if i wanna use it for live shows n recording which should i get ? 300 400 or 500? i play mainly metal hardcore

  • I swear this guy is hilarious. When he switches patches he has the delay on his voice and it sounds like Spanish channel drama commercials.

  • Can you play using the HD500 straight through the computer? Like, do you need an amp or big speakers?

  • @x14Stormrider Yes you can, and no, you don't need an amp. In fact, you don't need an amp even at a gig if there is a PA as you can connect direct to that.

  • What's your delay settings if you don't mind me asking? Excellent video by the way, very informative

  • is that an Ibanez RG with an Edge III bridge?

  • @edushreds In fact I've exchanged it for a Gotoh one

  • @alexromachado i see. did the edge III give you any tuning issues?

  • why are you so puffed ?

  • Well done

  • I bought a PRS McCarty, A Vox replica of the old one...and the POD. I hated the POD HD 500, because it's not easy to program. I'm still learning. But after watching what it can do, I love it. And I'm just working on a bit of front end tone, which won't take much at all...but these are great vids man. Thanks for doing them. By the way, just out of curiousity. Which amplifier are you using?

  • great review!! can you tell me, how you record the microphone and the guitar together at the same time?

  • Just the review I've been waiting for, excellent!

  • I have a question: x3 live or pod hd 500

  • Hi Alex, can you do a review of the HD500 and the GT10 together? so we can compare betwen each. Would be nice to do one with the factory setup of each amp sim, and other with your tweekings. I'm asking because i'm looking for one of those and I really don't know what is the best and why. I'll buy one of those in a few months and I can't decide. Thanks!

  • Great review Alex! What are you using to protect your HD500? It looks like a road case of some sort. Do you have a link to where you purchased it?

  • Thanks for taking time to make these vids. I noticed the Bassman is running parallel to all of the amps tested. What are your settings for this? Mixer settings as well. Thanks.

  • nevermind, I just read the post from @francoprs thanks anyways!

  • @6StringAxeMoFo I guess he use it for the mic...

  • the way to get around the DSP limit is to also use other effects in the POD loop.....for the dual amp lovers this is your best solution

  • Nice review of the amps,They sound great off of YouTube. What are you using for the amplification, Running direct to computer? Miking an Amp? if so what kind of Amp. I guess in short, what's your setup?

    Thanks

  • @twicesworsed Usb recorded. I've got 3 guitars, but always record using the usb possibility at the pod

  • Very nice review!

I am now the proud owner of an HD500 too! very nice unit but I wish that it was also a software based... like Guitar Rig 3, so that you can record with a clean line while listening to the processed one.

It would be nice to program presets on the computer without plugging the HD500 and then upload all once you're done.

I am interested on the way you have setup for this video... Can you make a video about that?

Is the microphone used on the HD500 or on a mixer?

    Thanks.

  • @francoprs I use the bassman preamp without a cab as a mic preamp and it works very nice. It's complicated to post the settings because I'm always changing them. I siggest you to watch the newer videos for that

  • @francoprs ... does that mean that while you are recording via USB to the computer that you can't hear the processed sound through your computer speakers? Only a clean/unprocessed sound? Sorry for my ignorance. I don't have the 500, but I'm waiting any day for the HD Desktop (i.e., the bean version) to come out.

  • @PDXguitarfreak when you record using HD500, the recording comes out the same as you recorded it. If you used a distorted sound, that is what it recorded. However, you cannot change it later for less distortion or removing some gain and so on. On the other hand when I use Guitar Rig 4, I am able to change any settings, amps, adding and tweeking every settings on the recorded sound, because whatever is recorded is a raw, clean sound although you can hear the processed sound while playing.

  • @francoprs Buy Pod Farm 2 from the Line 6 online store, then you'll get everything in your Pod HD as a VST plugin on your computer, and thus can record with a dry signal and test out different settings without having to re-record everything.

  • It sounds ... thin for some reason.

  • @tarfin we all have different ears i guess, it sounds nice and thick to me :)

ps: i own one myself. have replaced my amps.

  • @tarfin I'm workingo on it!

  • what distortion pedal is the one you call RAT beacuse I dont see any with that name on the HD500?

  • @yamillrock As explained at the manual, the rat sim is called as "Classic Distortion"

  • what is "DSP limit" mean?

  • @tjoaziang The HD500 it's a "open" fx. So, you can try almost any combination possible with all features inside. Otherwise, there's a Dsp limit. For example, you can't use a dual patch with 4 octoverbs

  • You are a fine guitar player! Thanks for the review, I want one now.

  • @Anotherblackseason Thanks for your comment!

Hoje, uso a versão 1.20.

  • @alexromachado

Great video, thanks a lot! Sounds good!

Could you answer, how you recorded it? I want to buy one, but I'm not sure, will I be able to record. Is PC, Creative X-Fi and POD HD itself enough to get about the same quality of recording you have in the video?

    Did you record via USB?

Yep, lot's of questions :) I hope, you could help me

  • I have a question for you, what's difference between Pod X3 Live and Hd 500 who is better. Please let me know! Thank's

  • @freedomfromhisblood The Hd500 has better, more "realistic" sounds. Otherwise, only at the X3 you've got mic and bass preamps. If you don't mind using the bassman for those application (as I do), the HD is the best choice.

  • Nice Video!Subscribed!! did you upload your presets anywhere??

  • @flashpadxxx Not yet, but I reallly have to do it!

  • I don't like that DSP limit, That's one thing the gt10 had no problems with

  • @mrkyt77 It's really boring, I agree. Otherwise, since I decided not to use dual patches, I had no problem with that at all.

  • Ichi cara, porque as caretas?? As paradas q voce tocou aí nem é difícil.

  • Very nice review, good job!

  • You showed us how you can switch in between Humbuckers and Single-Coil pickups, did you wire it like that yourself or did the pickups come with an extra switch that did that?

  • @DantheManPr1019 The luthier (guy that fixes/builts guitars) that takes care of my riggave me the possibility to use this push pull when I bought my new pickups

  • @DantheManPr1019 Some humbucking pickups have the option of coil tapping. There's more wires coming out of the pickup (one set per each coil) that can be wired to a push/pull pot so you can 'split' the coils so you can choose between using the pickup in single coil or humbucking modes.

  • @edgecrushers Oh awesome, that's what I was wondering. Thanks a bunch :D

  • Thanks for making this... excellent video! I'm savin up to upgrade from an XT Live. What kind of guitar is that btw? Custom Strat?

  • @yohanzo It's a Ibanez RG470 with two brazillian HH777 humbucker pickups

  • Parabéns pelo Review Alex. Genial.

  • Thank you! Great video, everything sounds better, than in your previous video =)))

    Waiting for the higain amps)

  • @LordXanders Thanx. Part 2 is uploading right now. It has the Higain amps.

  • Great demo - is the microphone also going through the HD?

  • @noslen1968 Yes, I'm using the Fender Bassman without cab to that.
