Have to agree with LVB to to a point. In JDub land the governing body is not thought as the leader rather "Jehovah's Organization" as an entity under Gods Command. In my entire tenure as a JW, I don't recall ever knowing more than 1 or 2 names of the GB at any given time. I find when I talk to a JW online I have to quote WatchTower just to remind them who really is in charge.
Small adjustment. Jehovah's Witnesses don't think about the "Governing Body" as being "their leader". They think "gotta be a dub" Jehovah's Organization is who tells you how to be a dub, the Governing Body is just a feature of it. This entire concept of "who their leader is" will generally not sound familiar. I told the story before when I was a little kid I answered "Catholics would say their leader is the Poop". Active JWs sincerely believe they have no leader. Realizing you do is a step out.
