  • lol I don't remember this game being so short.

  • SQ4 was perhaps the peak of the series in tone and scope, but SQ5 was also a very good game. It was lighter in its mood but still pretty atmospheric and fun to play.

SQ6 on the other hand was a let down :(

  • Yay! Now I feel like I've finaly finished it!!! ^^

  • Epic!

  • I thought 4, 5 and 6 were equally good. I dont get why people hate 5.

  • "Now you know, and knowing is half the battle."

  • someone's mind was stored on a floppy disk of all things...

  • Roger dies in SQ7, ironically at stellars hands when he and beatrix get together. Stellar gets promoted and then targeted for eliminating roger. All of rogers enemies are furious that she got to him first.

  • this is my favorite SQ game.... hands down

  • 1:46 - If only there was a King's Quest 43.

  • because its finished?

  • Why the fuck is there no part 6?

  • @thedarkallies

He finished the game but didn't think the last of it mattered.

  • 8:23

Did I hear Roger Jr. correctly? "Beatrice Wankmeister"?

  • The stupid computer guy should've cracked the disk in half lol.

I'm surprised an entire person's personality or whatever can fit on a 3.5" floppy too haha.

  • space quest was probably one of the most influential games when i was growing up. they were so fun. and when you first play through there are all sorts of possibilities to do and figure out. well when your 7-8years old they were almost scary in that you never knew when you were going to die. these are still some of the best games i have played SQ6 wasnt as much fun. i love the cheesy everything about roger and the universe. i will be letting my kids play these soon.

  • dudes son sounds like butthead

  • sdfgdgs

  • There seems to be a gap of missing gameplay between part 4 and 5.

  • Wow... the atmosphere of the game is very great...

Space Quest IV for me is the best ot the series...

  • wow what memories!!!!

  • Roger should get a threesome going with Beatrice and Stellar. ;) He'd finally get some respect.

  • I'd rather have the estros babes.

  • Yes, but they all wanted to kill him, remember? ;)

  • By a miracle sent from the two guys from Andromeda, I was able to beat this and other sierra games with the speed glitches of modern computers.

But this one, by far, was the toughest of them all.. the beginning with the robot, sequel policemen in every situation, ugh.

  • i dont know. SQ5 seemed to be MUCH longer than SQ4 and SQ3 was a bit tricky too. SQ3 and 4 had in common that u had to find out what u were supposed to do in the first place. the storyline is not that fixed to journey to the different planets in a fixed order. so u never know whether u missed to bring some object along or something.

  • Oh, I meant in terms of the speed issues with computers. Lol. :P Otherwise, I agree with you.

SQ5 has the most ways to die, too.

  • yeah i know, but there r programs that can slow down ur system. ever played ultima 7 nowadays? the game-days go by so fast that ur characters r in constant danger to starve, otherwise. they d beg u for food every 10 seconds, lol.

  • @OOcloud36

sq5 is also probably the weakest in the series.

  • Space Quest V is my favourite!

  • @mikeisgreen14

even so, the non-linear feel of 3 and 4 gave you the chance to explore each area and enjoy the nuances without being pushed along a specific path.

  • Consider using a program called "Dosbox" sometime.

  • this game always made me jumpy. cause sometimes it would throw random shit at you and you werent ready for it and it killed you or was uber loud or something. but i LOVE this game.

  • lol :D I concur :) When I was little I was watching my dad play, he walked up to the zombie in the beginning and I had nightmares the rest of that week :P

  • A little bit of metagame talk is hilarious in a comedy, but this game bugged me because the whole fictional universe's plotline and history centered around metagame concerns. "I have to send you back to the Spacequest 4 era". Just deflates the game from my point of view.

  • what about the probe droid from empire strikes back that shows up in this segment?

  • The ending wasn't bad, but I agree with most of you that it was too rushed. I love SQ5, but I wish there was a sequel that took place after Roger Jr. sent him back to Magmetheus. I was too intrigued about Xenon's past (Roger's future).

  • check out 01:46... the game list... Leisure Suit Larry IV! (LSL4)... that game was never programmed... they jumped from LSL3 to LSL5

    go Sierra, go!

  • I think the LSL4 is supposed to the be Leisure Suit Larry game that Professor Loyd said was actually a virus that got uploaded to te Xenon supercomputer when he tells you about what happened in the secret sewer compartment.

  • I agree with that, but I still love the game, & the series. I read some stuff from a space quest site that a new sq game will possibly be coming out (they said two of Sierra classic games are being worked on by a company). Be great to see sq7 after so long. Thanks for posting again Weaver.

  • Pretty fun but that ending was silly!

To heap te viewer with so much information at the end cliched way was ridiculous! And the whole storyline had very little plot development and could have been so much better!

  • Beatrice WAS beautiful? Maybe she dies shortly after Roger Jr's birth. Maybe Stellar Santiago could have a future with Roger after all.

Of course we'll never EVER know now, will we? Thanks loads for dropping all the Adventure games Sierra. On the bright side Lucas Arts is gearing up to revive Monkey Island and other adventure games now that Star Wars prequel fervor has died down.

  • I hope not. Stellar was ugly.

  • that's it? such a short game. if you had skipped all the talking you prolly could've finished it in less than 10 minutes.

  • Info dump! Roger's son's story should have been told throughtout the game, not all at once. Though, I guess it was meant to set up a sequel. It was an awesome game, thanks for the upload.

  • you rule dude! I got to the submarine part and the game would freeze on me. Thanks for showing me what happens in the game :)

Jeez that was a long time coming.

  • Man, I remember these games. Whew. I was the first in my family to complete this one. Such a funny game. So hard at points, but hey, thats the lure. Such a shame they didn't continue on SQ7.

  • How do you know all the codes?

  • They're in the manual. It's a more creative version of a serial key, to keep you from copying off the game and playing it without buying it. :P

  • Cant believe I got to see this and with the audio, THANKS, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POST RUNS FOR KINGS QUEST AND QUEST 4 GLORY GAMES!

Also PLEASE what program did you use to record? Thnks!

  • i always play this with the text not the voice... like the good old days

  • You know, Im really not crazy about the voices either. They just seem stilted and stagey. I don't like any of the voices in the King's Quest games OR Clara Bow. For me it was more fun to make up my own voices.

The voices in the Monkey Island games work better

  • 's not Clara Bow... Laura Bow (remember Dagger Of Amon Ra? great game!

Cheers from and old skool player!

  • Ive only watched my sister play it once, so you'll have to forgive my lack of familiarity.

The voice was really annoying. I think Sierra started losing some of it's charm when they went talking.

On the other hand I think the LucasArts games had better voce acting. But I still enjoy the earlier Sierra's too.

  • @ReverendSyn

I personally liked the talking games as much as the earlier ones. That wasn't what made the games lose out. It was simply that adventure games lost steam altogether cause more popular genres, like FPS style games, drowned them out. There weren't enough supporters for the adventure genre to keep things alive.

  • I couldn't play it too but I'm so happy I can watch it now. Thank You so much!

  • lol Beatrice Wankmister rofl

  • Wow. Bad voice acting.

  • roger's son sounds like Ray Romano

  • OMG!!!! Blast from the past - this was my fave game for ages!

  • Love it! Awesome game.

  • You get more time if you erase Kings' Quest BTW.
