  • This is my beautiful instrumental song in the world i love girl you are giving me the chills you go girl perfection.

  • :O i don't understand how Chopin could've hated this piece..

  • very poetic indeed. beautifully played and very nicely interpreted. and yes she's Asian. but does it really matter? if she didn't have any talent and didn't practice her hiny off, she would never have gotten this far. BIG thumbs up.

  • What a remarkable young lady!

  • Je suis une merde et je vais me suicider. =)

  • Absolutely poetic performance! You did prove Chopin is a poet! Thank you.

  • This girl is just... way too amazing!!! Incredible!!! I can feel my heart beating hard inside my chest after listening to this... I don't play piano (I wish I did :( but I've never had the chance to learn and now I'm too busy to look for it... but still have my dream hehe) but I have a great musical sensibility... and this is just too... wow... *claps hands*

  • magnifique :)

  • Opened the video and went to browse some other site. Completely forgot it was a live performance and thought I was listening to an MP3 until I heard the audience clapping at the end. Amazing performance! Not a single note out of place!

  • she plays the piano very well . This music is beautiful and wonderful

  • Simply stunning !

  • you're brilliant! congratulations!

  • Its so natural to her... Shes not faking it.

  • Perfeito *-*

  • Again rocks

  • Asains got talent !:)

  • sigh....another 11 year old 10x better than me, time to go cut myself...jk. haha

  • @6o96o9elaine9o69o6 im with you... lol

  • tiffany poon, you are awesome :)

  • merveilleux, bravo ! je suis en admiration

  • now compare this to justin bieber. yea, you see the actual talent.

  • WOW!!! one of the best versions i have ever heard!!!

  • demasiado rapido la primera y ultima parte el resto muy bien

  • oh my freaking

    everyone in youtube is asian

  • è la migliore esecuzione che ho sentito! *_*

  • Wow Tiffany! How did you memorise all this .Bravo! I have been learning piano for about five years now and i am not even half way of your technique. Go Tiffany!

  • i've heard several other versions of this piece by other artists such as yundi li and valentina lis. although her form is less perfect than their's and still somewhat rough, the way she plays it is really powerful, especially the build up towards the crescendo.

  • @kasonleung I could not find Valentina playing this Impromptu anywhere, could you please send me a link?

  • Tiffany , this is really awesome.

  • wow! this was really impressing! played with so much feeling!

  • wwwwwwowwww magnifica interpretacion!

  • *_*

  • bravo.......... i love chopin....

  • Wauw. She's one with the music and the piano. Brilliant. And stunning to see.

  • Wow, she wasn't even looking at the keys at some point.. It's like, she's one with the piano.

  • Good job though. She seems to know a lot of good music.

  • Asian parents and their extreme pressure...! :/

  • @craymiranda You have no idea what you are talking about. Contrary to popular belief most Asians who take up piano do it on their accord. Like I did. My parents asked if I wanted to start lessons, and I agreed. They did not force me, they told me i could stop at anytime. But I enjoyed it and kept going. And I'm glad I did. I have taken lessons for about 5 years now and I plan on learning this piece very soon. So could you stop with your idiotic stereotypes?

  • @craymiranda Oh same here actually. I've only formally learned piano for 3 years though. Never have time nor money to continue.

  • There's a 12 year old girl at my school who can play like this, if not better and guess what!? SHE'S NOT ASIAN! :)

  • Aww An angel playing music. <3

  • goosebumps :)

  • bloody hell

  • Just to say ~ I heard on the BBC Proms.. that Lang Lang inspired 40million young chinese people to play.

Dont ever think its because of your race.. more of how you are brought up & surely 40million.. theres going to be many great asian pianists of this generation.

Im sure there are many great eastern European and Russian pianists out there who were inspired by Horowitz

  • This is why I asked my parents why they aren't Asian.

  • przepięknie! nieprawdopodobne, że 11latka tak fantastycznie zagrała Chopina! jestem pod wrażeniem!

  • marvelous... best interpretation

  • T^T you r the best player.

  • This gave me chills. I have been playing this piece for 20+ years (on and off) and I am not even close to this level of perfection. To all the people making negative comments, you obviously don't play the piano or have an ounce of musical appreciation. This is just breathtaking. Bravo, Tiffany.

  • This was pretty good. Minus the minimal mistakes, I believe she will become a great pianist. I enjoyed the middle part of the Fantasie Impromptu (the slow part) and liked how she played it

  • excellent bien articulé propre et sans bavure félicitations

  • WALAO!!!AWESOME!!!!

  • Piękno Mużyki LOVE Kiss *_*

  • that's awesome!

  • It's weird that people think Asians are better than Americans.I think their just same it's just that Asian people push their child to practice much more

  • hey, nice playing! It could be better if the largo part in d flat major key could be played as largo instead of allegretto though... anyway, it was lovely... wish I could play like you. You know, I'm playing this piece for the National Piano Competition 2011. I'm only in the middle currently... ;)

  • I can only play the middle part :/ and I'm telling you; the Asians will always rule the piano. Nope not Americans! Asians! Cause they play better! Specially kids under 6! well except her

  • wow how good is this what grade are you yundi li plays it too

  • how could you dislike this, shes only eleven . imagine when shes 20 how AMAZING shell be! i wish i could see this in person.

  • i'm 17th but definitely cannot play as pro as you. good job!! :)

  • hm... I like it... it's not as staccato as other versions... flows way more better.

  • I played this when I was eleven. Largo could just use a bit more affection and strength. But that's just my opinion.

  • I played this when I was eleven. Second part could just use a bit more affection and strength. But that's just my opinion.

  • Wow! :O

  • This isn't fair she's asain

  • @MerelWithChoclate

I don't think it has anything to do with race. I think its how hard you work at it.

  • @cloverzhang68 It's a joke, but your right it's about how hard your parents push you.

  • :O wtf..

  • tiffany,you a beautifoul

  • speechless.

  • Wow!

  • @tiffanynewyear Me either!

  • This is an 11 yr old girl. At least compare her with her peers, not famous professionals.

  • thank you ,tiffany

  • so schön, amazing

  • why asian people are so good at this??

  • So good!..... It is unbelievable.

  • WOw.....

AFter hearing legions of talentless 9-12 year olds who claim to be child prodigies (and they actually win national competitions)...THIS is certainly refreshing. If Tiffany Poon sold a CD I would buy it. THIS is a child prodigy.

  • I wish I had one tenth of her talent. I have been trying to play this piece for one year, She is way ahead of the bulk of pianists who try to learn to play this piece the way chopin intended.

This kid is the one tenth of one percent of pianistswho have that rare gift from God.

  • you are perfect !!

  • One of my favorite pieces! I haven't played it yet though...:'( You're amazing.

  • beautiful

  • perfect, beautiful, impressive. Love watching & listening you perform.

  • The competition for piano is getting to be a bit excessive, and I can't understand what's going to happen when so many people are learning the exact same music. Something's gotta happen eventually. You can't have 100,000 pianists performing all of the same classical pieces, no?

  • @itsanthonyhere Not in just one competition. No. Anyway the interesting thing here is how they interpret the piece. There can be many variations you know... It's the same for vocal songs as well.

  • semplicemente straordinaria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Semplicemente straordinaria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Exquisite performance as you have extracted the true pathos of Chopin himself in this rendition. Thank you very much I will enjoy listening to this on my PS3 very often.

  • Wow...

  • SilentViolins, it's condescending to say she "shows promise" when she already plays with this kind of artistry. The fiery coda has a churning passion that many big-name performers on youtube fail to match. There is an ardent glow to her playing that makes the instrument "burn" as Bolet used to say. If you had listened to this blindfolded would you have guessed it was an 11-year-old girl playing? No way! Talent, like beauty, is where you find it, not where you think it should be.

  • @MISHA1119 I disagree. There's nothing condenscending about that statement at all. "Shows promise" implies that she has talent. You can't say she's at the level of Li YunDi, or the greats like Rubenstein, Richter, Argerich, etc. I certainly agree that she plays magnificently for an 11 year old, but sometimes overpraising is a bad thing. Makes people arrogant.

An 11 year old still lacks the life experience to fully comprehend and interpret such complex art by themselves.

  • @YSFmemories I catch your drift in this but why aren't children able to interpret such complex art by themselves?

Everyone experiences art in different ways, even if Chopin for example thought this was a sad tune she may experience it in a completely different way.

  • @rsguitarfan Hi

I'm not saying that kids aren't able to interpret it by themselves, I'm saying that they aren't able to fully interpret it. What this means, is that while these talented kids may have a better interpretation than I ever will in my lifetime, the fact is, as they grow and mature, their interpretations also grow and mature. It is against themselves that they cannot comprehend fully, and not compared to other people.

  • @YSFmemories Some people learn to interpret music quickly, regardless of age. Perhaps she has already done/is doing so right now.

  • Dziękuję Tiffany... jestem pod wrażeniem! To bardzo piękna, poruszająca interpretacja.... hr. Krasiński.

  • So amazing!

  • I can't wait to see Tiffany in concert! Beautiful playing! Thank you for your talent!

  • asians <3

  • WTF!?

she played this song when she was 11? And on top of that, she plays so good!

I don't know, but, i was listening to a 22 years old guy and he wasn't playing like this.

    she is amazing.

  • beautiful!

  • I've never heard a better playing of this piece from anyone below the age 25.

    She's amazing.

I stand by the fact that age creates no barriers.

  • Tiffany I cannot even imagine how amazing you will be at age 16

  • wow speechless............... kids these days are just too amazing

  • BRAVO! Encore! Encore! Who cares whether you're a professional or not. You don't need to live up to anyone's standards! Keep playing from your heart.

  • ...brava Tiffany....tanti tanti auguri per la tua carriera artistica....

  • This must be proof that angels exist. Children like this are true miracles, and very precious.

  • ! Wow ! Congratulations" ! es maravillosa ! / God Bless You. !

  • her hair is really long

  • Remarkable!!

  • You are the next Horowitz

  • How on earth can someone dislike this video!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @88IceTiger88

they r jealous or they missed the button

  • nice... please be my friend i have no friends on youtube

  • This is very good, her technique its excellent. Shes an adult pianist trapped in a girls body.

  • @brandonscherrer - Now that's an interesting way of putting it. She has all the technique, and it's wonderfully played. but when you're 10, your interpretations are your teacher's. but she brings out all ideas perfectly. can't wait until she's older to hear her own musical interpretations.

  • your boday movement is cool

  • Great!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its so beautiful, i love it!! you are a genious!! of course there were a few mistakes, but you really are extremly musically!

  • You play like a professional pianist!

  • good... But you should think it is fantasie...

You exaggerate the left hand on some place in 2nd part. It was againt to hear.

It must be flow. Exaggeration is always againt the music. Your musicality is really fatastic!

  • ..and she is a true performer....!

  • My post haven't been posted. This child is 11.

  • Why would a soul critisize this child? My goodness! Could you have beaten her at age 11?

  • i dont really like the beginning, the c# notes are not hard enough for me and the part with the c# g# c# e in the left hand starts to fast, i like yundi li more, but for sure she is simply amazing and will become a world pianist for sure ;) its only my taste^^

  • Thank You! What expressiveness, - and what a maturity. Terriffic.

That´s true. Music has no age.

  • A child may act like a child when not playing the piano. A musically talented child transfigures into a grown-up as soon as the performance begins. This is beyond the understanding of those arrogant adults who has no knowledge of music.

  • so good!

  • OMG c'est completement Magnifique , parfait :o

  • Perfect! I am sure her parents must be super proud of her.

  • Not proud....but grateful....

  • Amazing dynamic control and expression. She has incredible hands.

  • One of the best and most convicing performances by a young virtuoso. What power and elegance!!

  • WOW!

    that is pure talent!!!

  • Many grown up pianist should take a listen to Tiffany. she is exceptionally amazing

  • Thanks for uploading this Video. You played this extremely good!

  • She is a very exciting player! She handles the middle section with a lot of maturity- where most young people fall short.

    Bravo!

  • That's crazy!! Her fingers were just moving so, so quickly in the beginning! She's amazing (: I'm trying to learn this piece at the moment, hopefully I will be able to catch on with Tiffany, SOON!! ._.

  • Very impressive! She plays so well :)

  • Very Nice. Even considering your age, I cannot play as well as Tiffany. I better catch up one day.

  • I don't agree that her interpretation is superior to professional pianists, but this is a very impressive performance, especially considering her age. She shows a lot of promise and I look forward to listening to her play in the future.

  • @SilentViolins - close your eyes and you would swear it's an adult playing. but i agree with you because at 10, your interpretation is how your teacher instructs you to play. i also hear a few errors, but she is still one of the 10 year olds on youtube. there is so much talent that it's hard to say who's the absolute best - i guess there isn't any one best.

  • @SilentViolins :: I agree to ... but as the years pass by i am sure her own interpretation will improve ..

  • Tiffany, u r the best player I've heard on this. Even most pros can't compare with you. Keep up the good work. Should perform for your HK paisanos at the City hall one day to let them be proud of you.

  • The best and most expressive rendition I have ever seen or heard. Just beautiful. This must surely be as Chopin intended this piece to be played!

  • The more I hear from her, the more impressed I am. I agree with the comment about liking her interpretation better than the "pros". I could listen to her playing forever!

  • Beautiful.......

  • beautifully played. Such emotion and exquisite interpretation! Well done and thank you for sharing your gift with the world.

  • I like her interpretation better than the "professionals"

  • Very beautifully played! Tiffany, you are great!!! I enjoyed your music very much.

    Tommy

  • I am speechless !!!!

  • Another 555 star performance Tiffany. Congratulations. I have saved this in my future projects in my playlists for future reference. You have such a lovely expressive style. I love it.

    In tune

    Lalita

  • One of the most hauntingly beautiful middle section I ever heard. There are many pianists but very few artists and you are one of them, Tiffany...

  • @klingsor93 - oops. i hit the wrong thumb, but she does have very musical interpretation in the mid section. much better than most adults. i did hear a few finger errors, but so slight that it's barely unnoticeable if you aren't that familiar with the piece. but she still plays beautifully for 11.

  • @klingsor93 - She has all the technique, and it's wonderfully played. but when you're 10, your interpretations are your teacher's. but she brings out all ideas perfectly. can't wait until she's older to hear her own musical interpretations.

  • Tiffany, you have special talents to surprise me with all your marvelous music and make me come back to your channel. SO DELIGHT! GRACEFUL!!!

  • This is amazing Tiffany! You are elegant and beyond musical genius! Thanks for posting!

  • Tiffany thanks for this wonderful work

are happy to see you play

    a warm greeting
